    - - - -  Overall Personality,

Quick witted, charming, alluring, clever, but with a slightly short temper. All of those describe Mary. She has extremely good conversational skills. She also has a mastery of a few languages among them being the French language. A love of music and poetry. She has an eye for fashion and a very political mind when it comes to affairs of the state. Cross her once and she will never forget it. She is slightly ambitious, but knows her place and will not cross it. But she will not take disrespect of her, her family or her position laying down. She is very strong willed and has her own mind and ideas. Mary has the mindsets of a woman of her time, and also a few more. She has the logical protectiveness of an older sister. Her slightly sharp temper comes in only when needed, and she does know when to hold her tongue. Only when disrespect of her family is shown does she let her temper fly. Within marriage she is everything that is expected of a wife. With a few exceptions, her temper and quick mind. On a whole she is thoughtful, logical and kind. She has a sense of humor and a smile that is quick to surface. Her intelligent mind makes her a great asset.

Mary is free thinking to the point of danger, but never quite over that line. She has heard the new ideas of the time and has considered them. She has a strong sense of humility and kindness. But, she can also become quite stubborn, and finds it hard to listen to others thoughts and suggestions. She can think and act on the spur of the moment when it comes to a few things. Part of that comes from being the eldest and having a bit of say, albeit, not much. But she is use to having some sort of opinion on certain things. She is slightly introverted. It is hard for her to let others in, this alone causes some problems. Choosing to keep her more private thoughts and ideas to herself, for fear of ridicule. Mary has a a bad habit of being a little petty, holding onto a grudge for a long time. She can sometimes take offense at the mildest of infractions.

Being slightly judgmental is another draw back in Mary's personality. Though she does not mean to be, she sometimes find herself being slightly judgmental of others, especially when the said person has committed some sort of offense, be it how small or large. Even if it is a simple accident, she will and has been know to pass judgment on them without thinking.

  • - - - -  Roleplay Sample, (from an RP where I played, Anne Boleyn)
Liars! that is all court was filled with. Liars, backstabbers. Lords seeking their own political gain and ladies buying for the political gain of their families. Actually, she could not say a word against that, for she was once one of them. Yes, a young girl, told by her father to win the eye and heart of the king. At first it was only for the the betterment of her family. Or so she was told. But as time worn on, she found her heart was lost to the king. Was this wrong or evil of her? to lose her heart to a married man? perhaps. But that was for a higher power to judge. Not the whispering, conspiring members of the council. Not even that annoying Cardinal Wolsey. For now she was queen and none but the king could take that from her.

The halls of Whitehall were becoming more and more unbearable. The stench of bodies closing in on each other could be and was to much to bear. The only escape was the expansive palace gardens. Oh how lovely that sounded. A walk in the gardens, a bit of fresh air and to get away from the nonsense and continual stares for only a few moments. It was obvious that court life was beginning to wear on the new queen. But she would never outwardly show it. No, Anne was strong, resilient. She was, Queen Anne and she would be damned if any rumor of a weakness on her part were to make it's way through the court.

Any of her enemies would simply love to get their hands on that bit of information. That she was simply sure of, better yet she was positive of. And she was just as positive that she would not give them any ammo against her. She was stronger then that, then them. But, the fact still remained that the life at court was draining slightly. The king having other matters to attend to was surprisingly away. But that certainly wouldn't be for long. Of course it wouldn't be, he would return within a fortnight.

Anne found herself walking the long gallery away from the chapel royal. A trail of her ladies in waiting behind her. She listened carefully as a couple of the younger ones, a mistress Elizabeth and mistress Katherine gossiped among themselves. Although her face remained neutral and her dark eyes remained straight ahead she was still giving the giggled conversation her attention. Any bit of gossip was power in the court, that she knew. One rumor could turn into truth as fast as lighting. And it was for that reason that they were so powerful.

They soon turned into the Queen's announcement chambers. It was here Anne was presented with a letter. She studied the seal closely, for if it were found out the wrong person was writing to the queen it would be danger for them both. Her face slipped into an easy smile as she recognized the seal immediately and quickly opened it. Her dark eyed gaze quickly scanned the letter soon after she called to her maids.

"Quickly now, I must change. We are going visiting. Our cousin has sent for us." Anne said in a strong and cheerful voice, making it a point to use the royal we. Once again stamping herself as queen and that her orders should and will be obeyed. And that they were. Her maids quickly dressed her in a emerald green gown. Her black hair pulled into a matching hood.

Anne studied her appearance briefly before sending for horse and carriage to be brought. She motioned for one of her favorite ladies, Lady Jane Dormer to accompany her and they set off. They arrived at Blackmoore castle at a late houre. She knew, rather then hoped that the hour would not be a bother. The carriage stopped outside the castle and another smile slip across her lips as she stepped from the carriage and started up the steps. The various pages announcing her arrival. Now, she would meet her perhaps only true friend.
