Are any of you participating in the amazingly epic thing that is National Novel Writing Month? What are you writing? Have you done it before? I hope I'm not the only one! For those of you who don't know what it is (if there are any of you!) it's basically where you attempt to write a 50,000 word novel, about anything you'd like, in 30 days. Crazy, yes? I'm insanely pumped. Anyone? Anyone? -is hyped up on sugary tea right now- |

I did it and completed it last year and am totally looking forward to it this year! I've had this idea in my head for years and am so excited to finally put my words to paper. What genre are you thinking of? I'm doing fantasy-ish. I just gotta make sure to keep up on the fantasy. XD |

I've thought about doing it. I've tried. I've failed. So I won't try again. XD |

I'm not doing it this year. I'm already working on a novel. Yeah, it's for all over the world, so you can do it, too~. |

I have an aversion to it, only because I know so many people who do it and they all follow this cultish behaviour of nerdyness, which I feel (since I am part of some of their particular nerd-groups) diminishes the awesomeness of nerdyness. No, this has nothing to do with you guys.. these are people I know IRL who I hate for their pseudo-nerdy ideals. You guys are awesome <3 ![]() Plus, I can't imagine writing a novel, and then crediting a nationalized pop-culture holiday for its success. It just feels wrong ![]() Not that I don't think it's a completely awesome "holiday"... writing is important and I LOVE that something like this pushes so many people into doing it. In fact, I think it's bloody brilliant. I just can't do it. |

I am seriously considering writing a novel, but not for NaNoWriMo. I want to take a correct approach and write something publishable. Don't hold your collective breath though. I tend to abandon long-term projects in the early stages. |

I'm a participant (trying to go 3 for 3), but I haven't had any time to plan thanks to Junior year crap. |

I'm loving my novel so far; I'm on day Four and I have over 15,000 words. Good progress, at least I think so. xD I'd love to reach 20,000 by tonight or when I leave for work tomorrow afternoon! -fingers crossed- |
