![]() JON EDMUND ![]() * Christ is the hope of glory, my very life is He, He has regenerated and saturated me; He comes to change my body by His subduing might Like to His glorious body in glory bright! . HEY THERE. THE NAME IS Naomi, AND I AM 17. I'VE BEEN ROLEPLAYING FOR ABOUT A Month AND MY OTHER CHARACTERS WOULD BE N/A. I FOUND FKAC AT RPG D. OH, BY THE WAY, I READ THE RULES. WANT PROOF? THE CODE WORD IS Pumpernickel WANT TO REACH ME? HERE'S MY IM: N/A My name is Father Jon Edmund, servant of the Lord God on this earth, however he is not my only master; for I am in the service of Thomas Howard, yes that Thomas Howard! You see my father, Viscount Edmund is one of the many nobles who has sworn loyalty to the Duke and when I was ordained the Duke offered me a post as his secretary. My father accepted on my behalf, it was a great chance for me to do something good with me life he said. You see I am the younger son so I will never inherit the title like my older brother Mark. So from a young age I was second best and I knew from a young age I would need to work twice as hard to get half as much as my brother. I always knew I wanted to enter the Church, my family have always been very strict about Catholic Morales and traditions. I was brought up in a very religious household and it was my mother who first wanted me to enter the church. But she had grand ideas about me becoming a Bishop, I hope one day this will come true after all I am only 31 and have plenty of time ahead of me. My studies started at a young age. I was taught latin, arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy and when I was 18 I left for the University of Turin to read Theology. Those years were the most amazing of my life. I have always been very smart and when I was at Turin my knowledge could be satisfied for the first time ever. I spent hours upon hours in the University library where I read more books than you can imagine. Theology was an amazing subject and it prepared me for my duty as a priest immensely. By the time I was 22 I had finished my degree and began my road to the priesthood. This was fast tracked due to my fathers money and my learning from the University and by the time I was 25 I was a fully ordained Catholic Priest. It was a strange feeling when I was finally ordained. My entire life was leading up to that point and it felt amazing to finally realize my goals. However my great happiness was soon followed by great sadness at the death of my father. He died at the age of 50, and my brother became Viscount. I resided over my fathers burial, at the request of my mother, and it was very hard for me. I am not an emotional man, but burying your own father has to have some effect on you. If it doesn't how can you call yourself Human? I learned after the death of my father he had arranged for me to enter into the service of Thomas Howard. It was a great opportunity and I knew I was given the job due to my intellect and language skills. I speak many languages; English, Latin, French, Flemish, French, German, Italian and for some reason I speak Danish. It has little real purpose but it was a challenge so I took it. One of the hardest things about being a priest is the no sex thing. I am an attractive man and when I see my brother with a wife and a beautiful mistress it does test my resolve but I am a very strict catholic and I will not break my vows. Life as the Dukes Secretary was good. I earned a good wage and as long as the Duke was in good grace with the King my job was secure. However the Duke soon required more of me and when we went to court he asked me to be his spy, I had little choice so I accepted. I resigned my job with the Duke and now work at the Chapel at court passing information back and forth to my master, a Priest hears allot of things. However I have never told my master what someone else has said in confession, though he thinks I have. My views on the people at court echo those of my master. For example he really does not like Wolsey so neither do I. |

Hello, Naomi! Sorry for taking so long with this and thank you for applying to FKAC with Jon Edmund. First, have to double check if you asked Mike, who plays the Duke of Norfolk, if it was okay to be his secretary. If not, you will have to ask his permission. If you already have, let's move on! I would suggest you read this site on Tudor education to get a feel for how men back in those times were educated; school didn't follow the same patterns back then as it did now: http://www.the-tudors.org.uk/tudor-education.htm Also, the two main universities back then were either Oxford or Cambridge, so he would have gone to one of those to get his education in Theology. As far as languages...If I am correct, Henry VIII spoke Latin, French, Italian, and Spanish. Latin and French were the standard languages of Henry's court. So I don't see Jon speaking seven, eight languages and being more educated than the king. If Jon is to speak languages, keep it to those four previously mentioned. Also, I don't know if this was intentional, but he seems to be to be one-dimensional beyond being intelligent and what he calls an "attractive man". Perhaps add more to his personality to fill him out a little bit more. Once you've made edits, let us know so we can look at it again.
