  • - - - - Eye Color, Brown
    - - - - Hair Color, Dark Brown
    - - - - General Look, Edward is a very tall mysterious man. Tall and strongly built, with the look of someone who is outdoors often. Edward doesn't initially look the part of a duke, but there is power that emanates from him, and when he gets a certain look in his eyes, watch out. Edward is a no sort of fuss kind of person. Is appearance, in general makes one think that there is more to him than just a pretty face.

Edward's clothing fits the times, though prefers them to at least be comfortable. He carries himself in a very fine matter, including his aqttire, even usually has a handkerchief or something on hand. A wide jaw, combined with his usual attire, he easily fades nto the crowde. He's not perfect, but he can be subtle. He'll wear his hair in his face or push up, but something modest and ordinary. Edward's face is usually unrecognizable simply because he's not looking directly at you.

    - - - - Overall Personality, Most people fear him and respect him in equal parts, and those who do not learn their mistakes quickly. A ruthless force, nothing stands in his way when he wants something done, and most people smartly move out of his way, because people have died trying to stop him. Of course that sort of thing has never actually been proven. Edward is not a man who hides malice behind a smile, but many people just don’t really look much farther past the charming smile and laughter.

Upon first meeting, he seems pleasant enough. He laughs, he smile, he jokes with the best of them. But beneath that is a cruel streak a mile wide and an indefinable something that commands the attention and respect of those around Edward. He is a man of few words, and those words he says are the ones he means. Edward is perceptive and able to deliver what those around him expect, whether it be laughter, a smile, or a sympathetic expression. What Edward shows and what he feels are the rarely the same thing, though very few would have guessed it.

One warning though just don’t get on his bad side. Betray him, harm him or someone he considers his to protect, or do anything else that will set the flames of his anger burning, you will end up regretting it. He is very good at revenge. He sometimes exceeds his own capacity for righteous anger when someone he trusts or holds close is threatened. Edward acts like he is incredibly loyal to Henry – even though his first loyalty is to himself. Edward only seems harmless and that’s the persona he likes to portray. He likes to think of himself as a battlefield – you have to fight to win him over to get him to sign a treaty of alliance, thus respecting you.

Even as a socialite, he still keeps to himself within groups and only added a sarcastic remark or clever idea when it is needed. Edward will lose it if you press the right buttons. A good analogy would be to that of a grizzly. Edward exists, part of the court as bears are part of nature; as long as you don’t give him as reason, he won’t bother you. Unfortunately, if he does have a reason, he is absolutely deadly and just as ruthless as Mother Nature herself. Be damn sure who you’re digging up info on before you do it. Morals? He has the same morals as any other human of similar nature. You piss of someone he cares for, then he is the backlash.

He is more of a bystander; an observer only stepping in at the last minute to…..spice things up a little bit before the curtains fall. There is a sadistic glint in his eyes of bloodlust that can never be satiated, even if he was the one spilling the blood. If it’s a spade, he’ll call it a spade, but with a dignified tact when needed. Diplomacy has been ingrained in him for too long. Given the right situation, however, his tongue could slice through steel and has left many reminding themselves not to invoke his wrong again. If you make such mistake as to try and kill one of those few he sees as his to protect, you had better run – because he shows no mercy once that line has been crossed.

And understand that line is blurred, so it is easy to cross. One never knows that if they’ve crossed that line until it is too late. Imagine yourself strolling down a cobblestoned Paris street in the middle of January. Out of nowhere, a swirling wind catches you from behind, sending a frosty chill from the tips of your hair to the very ends of your toes. This could be most comparable with his entrance into a room. There is a definite lack in the warmness that most people possess. The feeling of welcome and adoration most feel for others. Edward is the coldness to the kings toleration with Wolsey as their odd balance.

Like the shadowing advisor behind a king's decadent throne that he his, Edward's obsession with being the best in England has turned into an acute desire to manipulate and bend a person's will to serve his own ends. If Edward found himself lagging behind a particular person at any time, he would do anything in his power to covertly and quickly sabotage, manipulate, or blackmail them into submission. He would claim that the bigger they are, the harder they fall.

Edward is a man in control of his circumstances. Now this does not mean he must be in control of everything, or that even has a power complex. In fact, Edward was never really cut out for as much power as he holds, and he constantly worries about everything crashing down around his head - even if he doesn't admit it. Being an advisor and mostly with free reign is all fine by him; but as the man who cannot abide losing, he will keep up the pretense that he is handling things just fine. He'd rather see everything come crashing down around him and haul himself from the wreckage, than admit he can't do it.

No, Edward's type of control is something that is independent of his power. In short, his control lies with how he handles himself in relation to the world; as long as Edward's position is secure, he has little need to worry about controlling everyone and everything else. His confidence and take-it-or-leave-it attitude have made him quite the memorable character over the past years. Patience is a virtue that Edward was not born with, could never quite grasp, nor teach himself to practice.

He severely hates procrastinators, and whenever he's impatient with someone or something, chances are he'll become angry - including subtly taking verbal stabs at people and giving them the cold shoulder. Edward's usually silent yet seething temper is one of his biggest downfalls. However, being as impatient as he is and stubborn as a mule, when he can't get his way the easy way, then he's bound to get it at any costs through the hard way. The route labeled the 'hard way' has no limitations or rules - manipulation and sabotage are just and fair game at this point.

As the public face, Brendan seems very much the aspiring lord. He always has a smile, a kind word for the curious, and a sometimes gentle correction for the naysayer. In private, he is a very much different individual; cold, cynical, narcissistic. Above all else, egotistical he truly things he's the best. Edward is the kind of man who needs to feel in control. It is when he feels that control slipping, that he may erupt with violent outbursts or simply sit and silently, coldly brood.

In the public eye, he displays nothing but confidence and authority. He's a savvy business man and commands respect from all he deals with. He is very observant, slow to trust others with anything of most importance, and he is always thoughtful. Edward doesn't like to be questioned, yet nor does he like to be mindlessly obeyed. Edward respects other with equal intelligence and can become very impatient with folly or ignorance.

  • - - - - Family Members, Henry Stafford, 2nd Duke of Norfolk [Father – deceased]; Lady Catherine Woodville [mother; deceased]; Elizabeth Stafford, Countess of Sussex [sister]; Henry Stafford, Earl of Wiltshire [brother]; Anne Stafford, Countess of Huntingdon [sister]; Lady Alianore Percey [wife; deceased]; Henry Stafford, Baron Stafford [son]; Elizabeth Stafford [daughter]; Anna Stafford [daughter]
    - - - - Overall History, Edward's birth to Henry Stafford and his wife Lady Catherine Woodville was marked by inner turmoil within England. His mother, the daughter of the 1st Earl Rivers and as such the sister in law of King Edward IV was left as a widow after his father rebelled against Richard the II. Edward was only three when his father was attained and executed for his rebellion.

The attainder was reversed only two years later by Henry VII, who's wife, Elizabeth was a first cousin of the five year old Edward Stafford. The wardship of the Duke of Buckingham and his lands were given to Margaret Beaufort, the Countess of Richmond and Derby. At the pressure of Margaret and her son, Edward married Lady Alianore Percy, the daughter of the Earl of Northumberland. With her he had a son and two daughters: Henry, Elizabeth and Anne.

Edward became a knight of the Garter under Henry VII, and would be garnered even futhr honors after the ascencion of Henry VIII. He was the Lord High Steward at his coronation. But, Edward despite his being advisor to the king, secretly harbored a dislike for his rule. He believed himself to have far more nobler and royal blood than Henry, given the fact that he was a first cousin of hsi grandmother. As far as Edward is concerned, he derves the throne.

Publically, Edward has acted nothing but loyal to the current monarchy, despite the private insults that he prefers to throw at the Cardinal. His daughter, Anna is a lady in waiting to the Princess Mary, but he's remained relatively unaware of his daughter's relationship with the men that do flock to her,

  • - - - - Roleplay Sample, Mirea had not officially gotten herself involved that well with her family. Her presence at the court, while not requested as a nice break from the rather quiet country life she?d been leading since arriving in England. What did you expect? It was the way she lived. Mireia?s head snapped up at the entrance of her maid. Upon being informed that her nephew was here to see her, a small smile crossed her features. Chryses. While they were not close, it was to expected. She?d grown used to the fact that her nephew was much closer to her younger brother and his mother. His mother?.oh that was a very sore subject. That anyone was suspicious about Evelyn, but still, it was not a relationship that was on the basis of friendship.

It was an odd family now that she thought about it, but not entirely her fault. This was one of her many rare visits to the English court. Much of her family knew that she stayed in the country, even her own sister in laws, and that included Chryses?s mother. Pulling herself together and dismissing the thoughts barely flitting across her mind, Mireia made her way into her outer chambers. She had little doubt of who had sent him, but she would not ask. Mireia had no problem spending time with her nephew, why should she? He was still family, and in her eyes that was all that mattered. At least for her, and if it worked for her, why shouldn?t it work for him.

?Hello, Chryses.? There was absolutely no hint of anything let in her tone, except for her usual kindness. Around her family, Mireia was nothing but loving, even her brother has known that, though the over-protection she faced from them sometimes did get on her nerves. Why her two elder brothers and her younger brothers could not just?. Mireia dismissed that thought. Not something she wanted to get into. She admitted, especially to herself, that she knew exactly why her brothers were so protective, and deep down, she could not even blame them. Of course not, she understood everything, especially when it came to Tavish.

Tavish who was still younger than her and still acted protective. For some reason, she had thought it was supposed to be the other way around. Oh well. Mireia was just as protective of her younger brother as he was probably of her, though she never admitted it to the public. Of course, who would. Her family was not as secretive as she thought, and she was probably the most secretive of them all. Cocking her head to the side, Mireia gave her nephew a soft smile, the emotion showed a seeing him quite sincere. It had been, something like at least two or three years since seeing him, and no, she did not even bother keeping track of the years at all, now did she?

Of course she did not. It wasn?t her job, instead she kept track of other issues. Mireia would not have come to England if she had not had the permission of her queen in Scotland. That was why she was here.
