Cassidy Buchanan has never really considered herself a great beauty. For, it had been on rare occasions that she had been clean and free of dirty since the day she was born. She had learned to dress in mostly soft cotton dresses and wool caps to keep her hair out of her face. Being a servant girl had never really acquired her to be as well dressed as a her half sister, Marie. She had, after all, served as a servant girl for the majority of her young life and that didn't require her to look as prim and proper as she could have been.
But, after Alistair Morgan took her in to his house, as a nanny for his young daughter Davina, he had offered her the chance to dress in fine clothes, and look presentable for their trip to court. She began to wear the finest dresses, even if they weren't as high class as some of the ones the other women wore in court. She didn't wear the hoop skirt, or anything that was extremely tight. Her dresses where still simple, yet more elegant than what she was use to wearing.
Cassidy's appearance has now brought about a new-found confidence for the young woman. She feels a little more beautiful, and it tends to show around the people who know her well. She has a thick Irish accent which at times makes her a little difficult to understand. But, the young red- headed, brown eyed woman is still a great beauty, even if she is of low class and standard among her peers.

Cassidy has always been an incredibly soft-spoken individual, at least around people that she does not know very well. She is respectful and polite which comes from years of servitude to her father's family. There are moments though, in cases of a servant being abused or mistreated horribly, that Cassidy does not quite no how to keep out of things. She had a strong will for ethics, and had been in the crossfire between Lord Morgan and his servants many times. Cassidy had also born the brunt of the attack from him several times, and each time her kind and loving nature has been the only thing that could calm the alcoholic beast inside him. But, it should be known that she will not stand for any kind of injustice brought upon servants and slaves of any kind, and it may very well one day land her in big trouble.
Cassidy has an eye for gardening, as she is intrigued by all the different kinds of plants and all the different colors they can produce. That may be one of the many reasons why Cassidy loves to draw and paint. She was taught by Ava, her mother's close friend, how to make her own paints out of plants after she showed interest in a young man painting at a market in London. Cassidy became good at mixing colors and is mostly fond of painting landscapes, or things that she considers romantic. But besides her painting, she doesn't have that many activities that she does in her spare time. She never really learned how to read or write. Painting is her only outlet of expression.
But, just because she never learned to read does not mean that she is not intelligent. She is more worldly intelligent though than anything else. She has common sense that begins to lack when someone dwells to deep into books and other ideas. She could probably hold up a conversation with some members of the court, but would not know about anything but what she had seen in her life. Mostly, she knows what she believes to be true, and relies on her gut more than anything else.
Cassidy also has a love in her heart for one man and one man alone, Alistair Morgan. She has been in love with him since her half sister Marie was betrothed to him and he was first brought to Thistlewood Manor. She is quiet about her love for him, silently wishing that he will fall for her. She knows that his affections may never come about, as she is without a title, but she knows that she will always care for him in some way. She also has a deep love for her niece Davina, and a small Pomeranian she named Kennedy. She is a very caring individual deep down, and could love anyone if they would only give her the chance.
- - - - - Family Members,
Lord Jackson White – father, Lord of Thistlewood Manor Lauren Buchanan – Mother, Maid in father's house hold (deceased) Lady Angelique Beaumont-White – Father's wife Lady Marie White-Morgan – Half-Sister (deceased) Lord Alistair Morgan – “Brother in law”, Cassidy's boss, Lord of Patience Grove Lady Davina Morgan - “Niece” , Cassidy's only charge. - - - - Overall History, Cassidy Buchanan was born out of an affair between Lord Jackson White and a maid by the name of Lauren in his household. He had not yet been married, and had a desire to feel his lusty urges on a young Irish girl he had fancied for years. She was practically a slave, as she had been given to him as a present from her father, a visiting Irish Lord who wished to rid himself of her and her troubles. Jackson did not think of the consequences that would certainly happen, and Lauren became pregnant after only a few months of constant passionate lovemaking. Jackson's father found out about the pregnancy and arranged a marriage to a young woman by the name of Angelique Beaumont to cover the pregnancy. Jackson never spoke to Lauren again, and she gave birth to his child about eight months after the wedding took place. Lauren, left all alone in the world, died while giving birth to his daughter.
A maid who had been with Cassidy when she passed, Ava, took the child to her lord, Jackson and his new wife. Jackson wanted the maid to get rid of the child or at the very least get it out of his house. But, Angelique took pity on the poor child, and convinced her husband to allow Ava to raise the child. Cassidy grew up in the servant's quarters of Thistlewood Manor, and did not know for many years the story of her mother and her father. She was raised to work hard, because she truly enjoyed working. Being in the garden or cooking or cleaning made her feel like she was needed and important.
When Cassidy was around two years old, Angelique gave birth to a daughter she named Marie. Marie was took more after her father than her mother and was spoiled rotten. When Cassidy had finally been old enough to help her Momma Ava out, Marie was still only four years old. She often made Cassidy's life miserable by making a mess after Cassidy had just cleaned. The two girls stayed as far away from each other was they could while they where growing up. And by the time Cassidy had turned 18, her half sister was betrothed to a young lord by the name of Alistair Morgan. But, Cassidy was the one who began to admire him. Alistair treated her like a person, and not someone who was below him. They became friends, but Cassidy dreamed of more.
And when Marie found out about Cassidy's love for Alistair, Marie turned on the charm and Alistair fell hard for her. And in a twist of fate, Marie began to care for her betrothed as well. Cassidy was heartbroken the day the pair married outside in her father's huge garden. She had even finished all her chores early so that she could say goodbye to Alistair. She didn't see him again for a long time after the wedding. Alistair and Marie lived together for about 3 years before Marie became pregnant. Alistair had never been happier and they anxiously awaited the arrival of their child.
But, sadness fell upon Alistair and Cassidy's family when Davina was born. Marie only lived long enough to see her daughter born into the world, and died in her husbands arms. Even though Cassidy had not cared much for Marie, she had felt compelled to watch her funeral from the kitchen window. Jackson mourned the loss of his daughter, and realized that he needed to make things right with Cassidy.
He called the young girl into his office after the burial ceremony, and Cassidy was surprised to find Alistair there. He looked disheveled and depressed, and he smelled of alcohol. Jackson confessed to her the nature of her birth, and Cassidy couldn't believe how much sense it all made. Why she had always been treated as an outsider. She became angry with her father, but she told him that she may eventually be able to forgive him.
And then the real reason by her calling was reveled. Jackson told her that Alistair was in need of someone to help him look after Davina, and Cassidy would be given to Alistair as a nanny for his household. Cassidy had no choice but to agree, but her heart had never been happier. Cassidy moved into Patience Grove, Alistair's home. Alistair treated her with kindness and respect, and treated her as though she was a noble lady. He dressed her in the finest clothes, and told her she would never have to clean again if she didn't want to. But, she knew Alistair had a problem. His drinking continued, and he had attacked several of his servants in his drunken rages. Cassidy always tried to defend them, and she has found herself hurt several times.
She continues to stay by his side, helping him through his pain and drinking escapades. She hopes he will soon realize he has a duty to his daughter and that he can not stay away from the child forever, even if she does remind him of his Marie. Alistair had recently been called away to court, and he brought his infant daughter and nanny with him so that he may show his new child to the new King.
