  • - - - - Eye Color, A friendly blue colour, which gives him a soft look
    - - - - Hair Color, Very dark brown verging on black with a curly look to it
    - - - - General Look,
Most women, and some men, would all say that George Boleyn was a fine looking man with large, friendly looking blue eyes and a good jaw line. His body is also worked to perfection from horse riding and hunting, which further gives him an attractive look, as well as a desirable one at that. However, when it comes to carrying himself, he tends to struggle to give off the impression that he has come from a long line of proud and respectable people, and instead adopts a more laid back and relaxed stance. His father has told him on numerous occasions to stand with his back straight and shoulders back, head held high, but in general he just likes to walk as he pleases, not bothering with any of that, and looks rather comfortable. Whilst he is tall at six foot one and has muscles, the way he walks makes him look rather friendly and certainly not intimidating. When sitting, he will also not sit properly and will be prone to lean over things when he shouldn’t and generally just do as he pleases, since all he really cares about is having a good time. But, there is a part of him which will sometimes tell him to walk straight and sit up, even if this will only kick in when he is around someone very important indeed such as a Duke or even the King himself. Never the less, even when looking friendly and not looking as if he is the son of a very rich man, he will always give out the fact he is very proud of himself and confident, smug even.

Clothing wise, he will wear what he is expected to when required and not argue about it. He is not stupid enough to think that he can get away with wearing whatever he wants when speaking to someone of prestige and importance. As a result, he usually wears quite expensive clothing since he wants to give the best impression possible and will wear darker colours, along with a pair of polished boots, always making sure that he looks presentable and someone who is of importance himself. However, when no around people who he needs to make an effort around, his clothing style will change drastically. He will wear very loose fitting clothes since he is keen on relaxing and not having to wear very stiff and proper clothes. Usually, he will just be found wearing a white shirt and some trousers. Moreover, he dislikes wearing boots and so when he does not have to he will usually just go barefoot.

    - - - - Dreams,
He dreams that he will be have a lot of power one day, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to get this even if it involves plotting and scheming. Moreover, he wants to gather up a lot of wealth so that he can buy himself grand properties and fine clothes.

    - - - - Fears,
.His fears all revolve around him losing his looks, wealth and prestige at court (even though he hasn't got much yet). George has always been rather fearful that he might be shunned and disowned by his father, leaving his son to fend for himself. Similarly, he is afraid that the king may disfavour him, since his punishments could be a lot more severe than his father's punishments.

    - - - - Overall Personality,
To most people who observe George, he appears to be a very vain and pompous man, who is overly proud and smug with his own capabilities. This is because he is often found bragging about all of the various talents he has, and how he was become a better man as a result of them. For example, he especially likes to praise his looks and how this has meant that he has been able to secure many women in a romantic sense. Of course, he does greatly exaggerate his capabilities too, but in particular he likes to over exaggerate how intelligent he is with matters like History, English and the Geography of the country and others. As a result of this arrogant attitude, George has become a very proud man and so his sense of humour quickly vanishes if someone should make a joke of how clever he was, or how successful his charms were. Similarly, his vanity mixed with his pride means that if he was to become covered with mud or dirty himself somehow, then he will become far more miserable and bad tempered than he usually would, or when he was clean. Jokes about his looks also do not go down well because of his pride.

Another rather controversial thing about George which people have begun to notice is that he is a notorious womaniser, never thinking of his fiancé who he should be utterly devoted to, and not going off with other women. However, he disregards her feelings at all times and just enjoys sleeping with any women he can find. Besides, he enjoys the chasing of women since when he does get them into bed it makes him feel better about himself, and gives his ego a boost. This inflation of his ego is something which he likes very much. But of course, there is another more secret reason why he enjoys womanising, which he would never admit even to his closest family members. He does actually enjoy the company of both sexes, even if he does greatly prefer women to men, and so by being seen as a womaniser it means that no one would ever suspect or even question his sexuality, apart from of course any men who he has shown preference to. It is not so much that he is ashamed of the fact he is bisexual since he has become rather accepting of the fact, it is more that he is afraid that his father will find it revolting and will strip him of wealth and prestige. He could never allow this to happen, and so he keeps it a very large secret from everyone.

But, generally, he is a funny and charming young man who enjoys spending time with his friends. George is the sort of person who likes to be liked, and wants people to laugh when he makes a joke. Luckily for him, his wit is generally praised and so people do laugh at his jokes, finding him one of the biggest jokers at court, and by far one of the funniest. His jokes vary from person to person, since he is not stupid. For instance, he would gladly joke about the kind behind his back if it meant people laugh, but he would not be foolhardy enough to joke about the king in front of people who may get offended about it, or even the king himself. This is because he knows that there is a line to not be crossed when joking due to his intelligence, whereas others may not know where to stop. As for his own sense of humour, he enjoys dirtier jokes about women, which shows the more immature side to him. Similarly, he shows his immaturity since he gets rather rowdy at times when around friends, and is generally confident enough to do this in public. For him, rowdy behaviour includes drinking, gambling and generally being a nuisance, as opposed to acting as a gentleman.

Linked to his immaturity, he shows a rather blatant disregard for formalities when he doesn’t need to. When around people of significance, he will obviously not be too rowdy and disrespectful since he does not want to be banished or frowned upon too heavily (since he is aware that some people already frown upon his womanising ways), but when not around such people he will not bother with such things. For example, he loathes having to wear shoes and so he will choose not to when at home or in company which would not be too uptight about it, as well as wearing loose fitting clothing. However, in private he does speak about uptight lords and ladies who he has a loathing for because they are so set on the formalities that they have been taught, and look down on anyone who doesn’t adhere to them. In his opinion, it would be far better if people loosened up a bit and had some fun, since then they might learn to enjoy themselves some more.

Whilst he can be care free at times like his disregard for formalities and wishing that people would be more relaxed, that does not mean he does not have hidden agendas. On the contrary, he is very much a schemer and is an ambitious man who wants to have more power than his father could ever come to have. It is not so much he wants to beat his parent, but more that he wants to make him proud that his son has managed to better himself. Similarly, he wishes to get a lot of wealth for himself and to live a life of luxury and grandeur. To do this, he wishes to get one of his sisters to catch the eye of the new king, and schemes with his family to do this. But, that is as far into the future as he likes to think about, and his future plans only revolve around one person: himself. Whilst this is very selfish, he does not care to settle down and have a family when most men his age would certainly be at least thinking about doing it, if not starting to already. But he does not want to settle down, and just wants to continue having a good time, as well was getting more prestige and wealth along the way.

Fortunately for his schemes, he is a relatively cool headed person, but the one thing which does annoy him greatly is the fact he is betrothed to Joan Parker. She has been able to bring out the nasty side in him, as he is disloyal and nasty to her, just like he would be to anyone he did like. Whilst he is relatively sweet natured, charming and loyal to those he does like, he will be a far more foul tempered man around those he has a loathing for, permitting they would not be able to send him to his death or ruin him. However, when around those he does dislike and is their equal, he will become snappish whenever they do the slightest thing which is wrong, or sometimes he will just shout at them for the hell of it. Also, he would have no problems with insulting them behind their backs, and displaying no loyalty to them whatsoever. As a result, it is very easy to see when George dislikes a person, and he can get as nasty as they get if he does not like someone.

  • - - - - Family Members, Thomas Boleyn (father), Anne Boleyn (sister), Mary Boleyn (sister), Thomas Howard (uncle) and Catherine Howard (cousin), Jane Parker (fiancé)

    - - - - Overall History,
George Boleyn was born to Sir Thomas Boleyn and Lady Elizabeth Howard, as the youngest of their sons who was born but older than his two sisters, Mary and Anne. However, in his childhood the two brothers who came before him, Thomas and Henry, died due to illness and so he became the oldest, and more importantly the oldest son. As a result, his father was always very close to him since he would one day be the one who would inherit his lands and property, as well as carry on the name. As a result, he always felt rather pressured by the man into making sure that he was proud of him, even when he was a small child. This is probably what sparked off his rather ambitious streak since he never did want to let his father down in matters, no matter how trivial they were. For example, he was always very keen not to slip up and look stupid as a child in front of the man, just in case he became ashamed of him for it, even if what could happen was silly.

As a child, he received a very good education indeed. He more than likely received a better one than his sisters, though he does not know for sure, since his father was very adamant that he get as good an education as possible since he was the heir. As a result, George became a very intelligent boy, perfectly fluent in French, and also knew some Italian and Latin, even if he was not as capable at it as he was with the French. Besides languages, he was also very skilled with reading, writing and arithmetic, From an intellectual point of view, there was little that could be faulted for a boy his age, and this naturally made his father very proud, since he was always close and making sure that he was progressing well with his studies. However, from a physical viewpoint, he was not as perfect. Though he was certainly not an ugly boy, his looks that would be so favoured in his adult years were certainly not at the same level, and he was awkward as well. His dancing was horrendous for example, as it still is to this day. But he was a good natured boy who was never shouting or throwing tantrums, even if he wasn’t as hard working or keen on formalities as he perhaps should have been.

At the age of ten, he was introduced to the court, going along with his father, at Christmas time, so that he could see just what the court was like in which he presumes was the time his father found most enjoyable. He had a very good time there, and was very interested indeed at all the men who assembled there and the various different amounts of prestige each held. From an early age it was understood by him that he would more than likely be a courtier, since that was what his father had said, and he did have to admit that he liked the idea from that age. The court was nothing like Hever Csstle, and he didn’t want to leave, even if he did have to. The trip there had a very important effect on him, since it meant for him that he was even more keen to go there, and not only just be a courtier but be one of the ones his father had pointed out to him that had the largest amounts of wealth and honour. For certain, this was what made him the most ambitious.

Over the next years of his life, he grew up to be a handsome man, but also became proud and confident in his abilities, knowing how funny, handsome and intelligent he really was (even if he did sometimes brag a bit too much). In his late teens, he became a womaniser also, only he did favour men as well, but chose to keep it a secret, as did whoever he looked at in that way. His days became consumed with learning, chatting up women, and gambling, as well as visiting court. His father took him often even if his son had no real titles or wealth of his own, but it was a good opportunity for him to impress people and let people know that he was someone to be proud of. He was a popular man at court to most of the younger men present there, who enjoyed his sense of humour and wit, even if the older and more uptight members of the court thought he was crude and disrespectful, whilst also frowning upon the fact he liked to sleep around with other women of the court, and their daughters.

When the old king began to turn ill, his sister Anne was brought back to England so that the Boleyn’s schemes could be put into action, and over the time she was back he had an active role in them, figuring out ways of how either of his sisters might be able to catch the new, young king’s attentions and thus making their own prowess and prestige much the better. Whilst he didn’t exactly like the fact he might be pressurising one of his sister’s into perhaps going with a man they did not like, he was certainly a willing accomplice because deep down he knew that it was for the best. Not only for him as the brother of someone the king liked, but also for them as well. After all, if they made a very good impression then perhaps they might even become royalty, which although he was under no illusion to think it would be easy to make the kind look at one of them with such affection, was still something he very much liked the idea of, and was something which would be the ultimate best case scenario.

Though, of course he did not think in such a way when his own wife to be was told to him by his father. Jane Parker was pretty of course, but that was it and he had no intention of taking a wife. Whilst they have not wed yet, he still does despise the fact he has a fiancé and this has caused something of a rift between him and his father, even if he does not openly admit to it. Rather, he is colder towards him for making him marry, or at least is going to, someone he does not love and in fact hates. As a result, she is one of the few people he will readily argue with and he also insults her behind her back since he feels no affection or loyalty towards a woman he hates. However, he likes to ignore the fact he is soon to be wed and instead focuses his attentions currently on getting his family’s name more prestige than it ever could.

  • - - - - Roleplay Sample, From a Dr Who RP

Cold wind whipped across his face as Ross steadily strolled down the Cardiff pier. Sea smells wafted across the scene, as did the screeching of sea gulls over head. He did not like this place very much at all. It felt too serene really, too bland. He preferred cities which were teeming with gothic cathedrals, overlooked by a gleaming sky scraper. Dead at night was nice too, and it certainly improved the time that was now around twenty to eleven. Everything was just too ordinary, and far too similar to what everyone else knew about in everyday life. His blood called for adventure, something unusual, and yet in his job he just wasn’t getting it anymore. Of course, being stationed near a rift, there was plenty to do. However, was it worth his life?

That was the thing. He was called in to investigate, along with a group of privates, some sort of disturbance, but there was just no thrill in it. Not anymore at least. Whilst he was still enthusiastic and chirpy around people, towards his job he just felt cold. There was just something... missing. Usually, he would love things like this, marching out to go and investigate something. It was one of the main reasons why he had joined UNIT in the first place, and in a way he supposed that was the only reason. After all, that was why his family had joined in the first place too. However, it just wasn’t fun anymore now that he knew he could die from it. He wanted to go on his own pace, do what he wished, not follow orders what would just get him killed.

Sighing, he went to go and stand by the rail, looking over what he presumed was sea. However, it was most likely not as he cared little for learning geography, and especially that of Cardiff. However, he would not whinge about it like some other people would as that was not him. He got on with things, and in all honesty he did enjoy talking to new people. It was fun at times, listening to their experiences and what not. Then again, he could do that in London or Leeds, and it would just be as nice he guessed. Ross knew that things could never be perfect though, because, well everyone did. It would be preposterous if they were.

Mulling over his thoughts, a scream soon piqued his attention along with that of the soldier’s hanging around with him. No smile tugged at his lips like it used to, as he ran off with his gun in his hand to see just what was going on.

ACCEPTED!

I am really impressed with the writing here. Lengthy but not overdone. Great job!

One thing I noticed is that here: 'When the old king began to turn ill, his sister Anne was brought back from England', it should be 'to England', not from it. Just fix that, but you're accepted!

PS, Henry Cavill makes me a little weak at the knees, so I'm glad you kept him as the PB. Hee!

Just post in the face claim and make a plot request thread and all that. :)
[align=center]His Majesty is in 3 threads.
