MY Review of The Dark Knight which I saw at IMAX on asaruday night @ 11:00 pm or 23:00

Acting:
This movie provides us with actors who do a marvelous job of portraying the characters they play.

While Bale is great as Batman/Bruce Wayne his growl is even more annoying then in the first film, (although I am glad he had a growl instead of his normal voice as Bruce.) Bale Delivers as a natural part of what he is. I wouldn't say that he is the best actor in the film but I don't think that the script allowed for his lines and character to demand a high level of acting skill.

Morgan Freeman/ Lucius Fox as always was Brilliant. My favorite moment was when

I did prefer Michael Caine's /Alfred acting in the first movie, however I prefers his character in this one.

Maggie Gyllenhal/Rachel Dawes didn't seem to play the sme character as the previous actor who portrayed Rachel Dawes. I didn't really enjoy her.

Gary oldman/ Commisioner Gordon had the most important part as far as the good side is concerned. mainly because of the ending, and what he does in the end, plus he saves batman. (that's all I'm saying for now.)

and now for our villians:

Aaron Eckhart / Harvey - Two Face actually made be believe I was watching a DA do his job. Like I felt that If the actual plcae was in as much trouble that this is the emotinoa nd tenacity I would see from someone actually doing it. They kept harveys coin tossing in and stayed true to the sides of his "coin"

Heath Ledger/ Joker -
The much debated, and notable actor was by far the best actor in the film. Joker had always been the arch nemesis of Batman and he really lived up to an audience Expectation. I do not feel sorrow for his death, but I am honored to have witnessed such a wonderful final performance. I actually for sometime expected very little from this movie. but was beyond what I could have imagined even as the best movie.

His wit, cleverness, and line delivery are far superior to any other villian I know. (nicholson vs. heath later)

Stunts:
While I liked all of the stunts done and there were plentious amount to choose from. probably the most impressive sequence was the scen in which batman takes the Batbike and attempts to tip the truck over and after the truck is done the bike going up the wall flipping around and landing back in teh right place to go the opposite directioin. brilliant. and on the imax is was even better

Special Effects:
Very much of the film seemed like it was very natrual. The explosions were huge, the bangs were loud and the CG on Two face looked believable.

Costumes:
Batman's costume gets a facelift (thats all I'm saying)

Joker looks true enough to the Joker's tradition but yet real enougth to have looked used.

Score and Sound:
The music fitted every moment. I just wish it was more memorable of a theme. like something you walk out of the theartre humming. The originals did that. this didn't.

Sound was spectacular. with the largest explosion in the film the whole theatre shook. If I had had a open glass of water the water would have gone over the side.

Script:

I really like what happened with the script and delivery.
The jokers lines are lines I believe to be of whatever a true archnemesis of anything would be.
In Fact one I see the movie again I will find more "memorable lines" such as "why so serious."

Nicholson Vs Heath:

And now the question on everyones mind. Was Ledger better than Nicholson who starred as the Joker in the original film?

I will say this much.

I still and always will have repsect for Jack Nicholson as an actor

The joker in the first film (nicholson) is a completely different joker than the one in the new film. (ledger)
That being said. I prefer this joker as a character the original Joker. I also think that Nicholson would not have been able to play this joker as well as heath did, but by the same respect I dont' think that heath would have been able to play nicolson's joker as well as Jack did.

This joker and the actor far surpass the character we already know. and will stay that way.

And I prefer the little "things" that Ledgers Joker does in preference to nicholson.

Jack painted the ceilings. released his chemical, pucnhed the TV, etc.

Heath's little pencil trick, the dress, the coat with grenads, his business card, etc. were totally original and got the idea better across.

Yes this movie is the best Batman movie ever and the best superhero movie ever, the best action movie ever, and my new favorite movie.

Don't wait for it to come to a discount theater, don't wait for it to be available to rent, don't wait for the DVD (but still buy it), go to the theatre (IMAX is better) and see it NOW!
