Afternoon. It was a little too early for his likings, but then, any time after last night could have been considered such. Rubbing his eyes free of sleep-dust, and running a hand over his face, Greiver sat near the overhead projector. Having spent some time aiding Aldaras in his earlier class (which had been weapons introduction), Greiver was already well exercised, although it had been a fairly touch-and-go performance to begin with. Lots of stopping and going, and lots of trying to point out to students that they were not master swordsmen/women, and that their technique could use some work, and here's how. Also, lots of trying to offer positives to an otherwise doomed lesson (several students had thanks to offer for that). Greiver had appreciated the early-morning work-out though, it was a good way to prepare for the days ahead. So all in all content, Greiver was ready to begin the second day of classes, since the first day had ended rather abruptly. Only two torches were lit in the chamber today, both being near the overhead projector, should their use be required. Doubtful though. Students were expected to start trickling in shortly, as they had sufficient time now to have finished in Aldaras' class, and get themselves prepared for his. Unsure of what the general temperament of the class may be however, Greiver had several options available to him for the day's lesson. Continued training of weapons, which may sell well for the rowdy go-hung type students (but not towards their more conservative counterparts), oral dictations, which would be a welcomed rest from such training earlier on (but also an open invitation to sleep, thus negating the point of attending class in the first place), or finally, a lesson in combat tactics. Minimal exertion, but maximum practicality; and tied in nicely to the 'This is a sword, do not hold the pointy end, dumbass, and use the pointy end to kill things' lesson. Yes, yes... that would probably be the way to go. Although that called for someone in particular... Rubbing his eyes again, Greiver stood up and went to open the door. Poking his head out around the door, he spied several notable students including (trumpet flourish here) Wedule. How very... convenient. |

I walked into the room, glancing into the classroom to see who was already there. Which was no one except Greiver and Wedule. I almost didn't want to walk in because I was afraid it would be awkward. Pussy, you're going to leave tonight with him for an undetermined amount of time and you're afraid to walk into his classroom?I reprimanded myself. The two men were talking so I was unsure whether I should interrupt them to say hello: I decided against it. I sat down in a desk and pulled my tonfa. I also pulled out my rag and started to remove the dirt and grime from the earlier training session. Once I was done i was bored. I looked toward the men again and they had appeared to have reached a lapse in their conversation. "Long time, no see Head Instructor..." I said to Greiver, a mischievous light in my eyes and behind my voice. I wasn't sure if he was comfortable enough to tease me back but I hoped he would. He looked good this afternoon, not looking very worn from the late night and training in the morning. I was very jealous. My clothes were dusty and my hair a mess. Suddenly I wasn't sure I wanted his attention anymore. My hand came up to smooth my hair, which didn't feel as bad as I had thought it was. I sat, hoping for a response or more people to come into the class. |

Where the hell is Mavrick? He was not to be in Greiver's class anyway, but I had no recollection of him in Alan's, which was strange. A lot of strange shit was happening. Maybe thats why I feel so different. As I entered the room quite cautiously, I of course failed to find mavrick. Unfortunately, and awkwardly, I failed to find just about anyone else either. It caught me by surprise to find Greiver standing by the door as I entered. I tried to nod a 'hello' and avoid his eyes simultaneously. I wasn't sure how it worked out so I just picked up the pace, finding myself near Drestia who had piped up with a rather more normal and sociable greeting of her own. "Long time no see, Head Instructor." Her appearence gave a distraught impression. She really got into it last class, didn't she. I laughed quietly. I waved to her as I approached. How is her weapon so clean? |

I really wasn’t anticipating another class, training took quite a bit out of me because I hadn’t fought or done anything since I had been in the academy, but I would be soon back up to par after a couple more training sessions. I looked a mess even more so than this morning, my hands and a bit of my face had smudges of dirt on them; I even had a few small clumps in my hair. Walking to the classroom I began to pick the clumps of dirt out of my hair which is all I could do to fix myself up, I had to wait until I got to my dorm to fully clean myself. I strolled into the classroom noticing that Drestia and Von were the only students in the classroom. The instructor was talking to a man who I wasn’t sure if he was a student or not. I made my way over to Drestia and sat down in the desk beside her. “Wasn’t Aldaras’ class fun, well once we got to the actual training part of things,” I said this waiting for a response either from Drestia or Von. |

Arianna walked into the last class for the day, and the only instructor she didn’t really know, Greiver’s class. From what she got out of Aldaras he was odd. That’s all he would say when she brought him up. This was the one class Aldaras didn’t accompany her to, saying he had things to do today. She knew at least part of it pertained to the fact that she still didn’t have an actual weapon, but just the training one that Aldaras still had. Instead of him accompanying her he had the student Raziel ‘keeping an eye on her’ as he so elegantly put. Needless to say she was quite annoyed with her dear brother. ”Why does he think I need protecting 24/7. He’s even more overbearing then father. I mean at least in the castle I could have time to myself if I wanted to, here it appears Alan wants someone watching me every move I make. I wonder if that’s why I don’t have my own dorm and I need to share one. Oh well, I’ll just steal part of his if I must. She noticed two males, one of which she assumed to be Greiver, given her mix up last night and one previous encounter and another male, whom seemed to be uncomfortable around him. The unknown males seemed to look quick, have a surprised look. When he looked back up he appeared to go and say something, upon noticing me he just looked back down, seeming completely perplexed. ”What’s up with him, do I know him or something, I don’t think so.”\ “So where would you like to sit. If my brother insists on you babysitting me, might as well make your job a bit easier.” Arianna assumed Raziel would want to go stand with the other two students on the other side of the room. |

I followed Arianna into Greiver's class, acting as her escort as Aldaras had instructed. Greiver's class was the only one I was in yesterday, so I felt some degree of comfort. I knew what to expect from Greiver, so Arianna would be sure to be somewhat safe. I wouldnt know what would come to hurt her sitting in a classroom being lectured. A paper cut, maybe, but that's about it I thought to myself. “So where would you like to sit. If my brother insists on you babysitting me, might as well make your job a bit easier.” "Sit where you want, I dont know what kind of trouble you can get into sitting in a classroom." I thought for a moment. If anything should happen to her, Aldaras would never forgive me. Although I didnt see the danger in her sitting in a classroom listening to Greiver speak (aside from the obvious mental anguish she might suffer) it would be best to prepare for anything. "Better go with the back corner, though. Just incase someone decides to invade, we can slip out the door without being noticed." I rolled my eyes at my own declaration. This was a little excessive. She's a big girl, cant she take care of herself? I made my way over to the second last seat at the back of the class. I dropped some of my stuff on the floor next to the wall and non-chalantly motioned for Arianna to take a seat. I yawned, preparing for the class to come. |

He re-rolled the right sleeve of his black tunic to the elbow as he walked into the classroom, noticing that it had come undone sometime earlier. Assessing the class he noted Von and Drestia, he headed over to them but stopped almost immediately, after further scrutiny he saw the blue haired girl, code name 'The Girl with Blue Hair', I really need to find out her real name so I can come up with a better code name, it's so hard to discriminate against someone you don't know. Almost makes it seem like it's not worth it discriminating against her. Discriminating isn't even the right word for this, more like an irrational dislike, I'd actually have to say or do something to her to make it discrimination. Loki sat down a few feet back from where the group of students were standing, ensuing this he pulled out the only weapon he carried with him at the time, the dark blade of his knife made whispers of noise in the air as he twirled it around with his right hand. Distinguishing the student at the front of the room almost caused him to gag, Ugh, I didn't know that Wedule was in this class. Well, as long as he doesn't try anything weird with Von's clothing I guess it doesn't matter. At least he's not a bastard like Jimmy, didn't Jimmy get killed anyway? Or was that some other boy? He tried to search back as to what that student he met in the hallway at the beginning of the day said, but he just couldn't recall. Motion to Loki's right caused him to grin, it appeared that Koios had been dubbed guard of Aldaras' sister, There's another person I don't really know, who I don't really care to know. My outlook on life is becoming a bit too bitter I should think. He started weaving the knife faster "It's Koios right?" He paused and continued, "How do you like watching over the instructor’s sister?" Aware that the girl could hear him he also threw in a comment at her, "And how do you feel about being watched by someone you just recently met?" Although he already assumed the answers to his questions he asked anyway, Sometimes it's important for people to say what’s on their mind, before they are at each other’s throats. |

Loki walked into the classroom. I thought I saw his mountainous figure at the ball last night, but I guess it must have been someone else. He addressed me with his knife drawn. If I didnt know any better, I would have been somewhat intimidated. I wasnt totally worried, however. "It's Koios right?" "Actually, if you must know, it's Raziel. I've been using Koios as an alias, but lately I've decided against it. I wont get offended if you keep calling me Koios, or Starscream or whatever other name you want to come up with." "How do you like watching over the instructor’s sister?" Aware that I was in earshot of Arianna, I decided to make a little joke. See how she'd react. "Actually, she's been nothing but a spoiled little... uhh, heheh just kidding," I smiled awkwardly and waved at her. "Seriously though, she hasnt been as much trouble as the instructor might make her seem. Who in their right mind would try anything here? Makes my job seem a little tedious, but I guess Aldaras needs the security." Loki also made an inquiry in Arianna's direction. I had also been curious as to how she'd been feeling about my ungodly presence hovering around her. I looked at her and raised an eyebrow as I awaited her response. |

Arianna listened to Raziel as he pondered exactly what she had been wondering all afternoon. What would happen to here from sitting inside the castle surrounded by people training to be in the military? Wasn’t it almost as good as being surrounded by an actual army? Wasn’t Aldaras being excessively paranoid about this, like something would happen to hear while in the head instructor’s class. Maybe that’s why he wasn’t following her right now and decided that he could go to town quick. She nodded as Raziel’s sarcastic comment about sitting in the door for a quick escape and decided that ribbing her brother was completely called for. “You do know that when whoever Aldaras is protecting me from comes to attack me, they might just use the front door like normal people? I know it sounds outrageous but. I would think if my brother had his way there’d be no windows and only a door guarded by him. Excessive much?” She watched as a male from her earlier classes came up to Raziel and completely got his name wrong. She had caught his name as Loki earlier on and had gotten from Aldaras’ and Lilith’s classes. He seemed to not be able to hold his tongue what so ever and seemed to be enjoying pointing out the fact that Aldaras was overly paranoid and making a personal body guard follow her. Arianna wasn’t used to anyone joking around with her and well not holding their tongue about her but she took it in stride. She assumed that this man, Raziel actually cared enough about either Aldaras or her that he would more less babysit her. Arianna decided that she should probably give her response to what was going on. While she was quite annoyed at her brother she assumed that he had some sort of information that the rest of the student body did not and he was just making sure she would be safe. “Umm, well, my brother is my brother and I don’t exactly make his life exactly the easiest in the world, but I figure he has some sort of reason to make sure that I’m watched at all times. I figure that his reasoning will become clear eventually. For now I think we should assume he knows what he is doing and cooperate with him. It may just be to make me feel better who knows, all I do know is he is my brother and I figure he’s looking out for my best interest.” |

Actually, if you must know, it's Raziel. I've been using Koios as an alias, but lately I've decided against it. I won’t get offended if you keep calling me Koios, or Starscream or whatever other name you want to come up with. What a pompous little bastard. What’s this whole business of his name being an alias? Even if he is being pretentious and haughty, there must be some underlying reason as to why he was using an alias. Perhaps I will revert to calling him Pretentious Prick, however the fact that we are in three classes together would cause some negative happenings throughout the semester if I were to call him that. I suppose I will be diplomatic and call him Raziel. The thought sat with him inadequately. Actually, she's been nothing but a spoiled little... uhh, heheh just kidding... Seriously though, she hasn’t been as much trouble as the instructor might make her seem. Who in their right mind would try anything here? Makes my job seem a little tedious, but I guess Aldaras needs the security. Loki nodded his head at this, It’s good that he is sitting well with his protective duties, even if he does think it is a bit tedious and if I think he’s a prick. I wonder if he ever had a job before this, I have sincere qualms about it considering that he calls this job tedious. Picking rocks from a field just to have them break through the earth the next year in droves of equal amount is tedious. This however may prove to be interesting at some point, who knows what may happen, she is a person of higher standing after all. He restrained himself from deriding Raziel’s words out loud and looked past him to Arianna for her reply. Umm, well, my brother is my brother and I don’t exactly make his life exactly the easiest in the world, but I figure he has some sort of reason to make sure that I’m watched at all times. I figure that his reasoning will become clear eventually. For now I think we should assume he knows what he is doing and cooperate with him. It may just be to make me feel better who knows, all I do know is he is my brother and I figure he’s looking out for my best interest. Loki let a slight smirk creep onto his face at her words, It must be nice to know that someone has your back, even if it may not deserve protecting, The thought was bitter sweet, not because he envied her, but for her own lack of understanding. The answers to his questions were in the end, rather close to what he had predicted, but no longer did he feel like talking to these two people, mainly due to Raziel’s pomposity. He nodded politely in acceptance to their answers but his thoughts turned solemn, There seems to be something there, some underlying emotion that make me think that they may end up being more than just protector and protectorate, something that even now unnerves me, what type of abomination would they create? He looked away from the two students and scanned the classroom; it didn't appear that much was going on. His attention was no longer fixed on anything, other than the knife that he continuously twirled in his hand, but even then he wasn't looking at it. Loki moved in his chair inaudibly until he was sitting at ease and began the wait that would mark the commencement of the class. |
