Name: Raziel [formerly Koios Starscream]
Gender: male
Role: Student
SID: 926855
Dorm: 108
Age: 16
City-State: Candoth
Birthday: New Year's day, 744

Appearance: Koios has short brown hair, blue eyes, slightly long nose, rounded ears, strong chin, small mouth, thick lips, high cheek bones and a small, barely visible scar on his right cheek. He is slim, with an athletic build and weighs 150 lbs. He is 5'9'', and slightly long legged.

Clothing: Koios sports a black cotton tunic and black leather leggings, underneath a thin leather, iron-studded, cuirass with and matching leather greaves. On his feet, he wears pointed black leather boots. On his arms, Koios wears blackened leather vambraces, which extend their protection from the knuckles right to the elbows, and blackened leather shoulder guards, giving him a slightly broad appearance. Over all the armor and clothing, Koios wears a dark-blue, ankle-length, hooded cloak.

Weapons: Koios carries a 4' ornate wooden quarterstaff, on his back. He has also been known to use 2' straight-edge dual swords, which he keeps sheathed one above the other on the left side of his belt.

Personality: An inquisitive and enigmatic person, Koios will often spend time thinking to himself and asking questions. He is intelligent, has a good memory and is very persistent, which can lead to being grudging and vengeful at times. At his worst he may become merciless, obsessive and manipulative. He tries his best to hide most of his emotions. On the surface, Koios is a serene, charismatic, and seemingly carefree person.

Strength: Koios is incredibly fast with his dualswords, and very competent with his staff. Koios is also very accurate with all ranged weapons (like bows, crossbows, throwing knives...etc.) from many different distances, however lacks competence with them in battle.

Weakness: Koios can be a little too aggressive in battle. He often strikes first and asks questions later. Koios focuses mainly on offense, so his defense isn't very well developed. Koios also completely lacks competence with weaponry that is too heavy. He lacks speed with them, since they are clunky and much too large from what he's used to. Koios' nerves take over in combat situations when he's holding any ranged weapon. He simply cannot fire at another human being. Since he carries two weapons in each hand, Koios doesn't like travelling by horseback. Koios also can't swim.

History: Being the youngest and weakest of a large farming family, Koios spent a very long time wrestling with larger and stronger brothers. In doing so, he developed quite the pain threshold. When the Candoth army recruiters came along to the family farm, Koios's parents sold their youngest son to the recruiters at the age of 14, figuring they needed the older ones to help around the house. Being drafted into the 58th legion, they issued a quarterstaff to the boy with the explanation that their steel is in short supply and making a sword for someone who's life expectancy is less than ten minutes is impractical. After receiving very brutal and informal training, Koios began to deteste army life. He remained in the military for a year and 11 months, being whipped and tormented by his commanding officers. At the beginning of winter, 759, Koios was ordered by General Terminus to accompany him in a skirmish. During the battle, the General Terminus gave a command to slaughter innocent women and children, to which Koios refused. Terminus, angry at the boy's insolence rose his arm to strike him down. Koios blacked out. When he regained control, he was standing over the former General's brutally carved corpse, holding what he recognized as the General's dual swords. He took a liking to them and kept them. Realizing what he'd done, Koios fled. Defecting from the 58th legion, and knowing he could not return to his family without his honour restored, he changed his name and left for the city of Everland, expecting never to return...

RP Sample: A young, hooded figure walks down a busy street, his eyes darting defensively to give him a paranoid look, and his white-knuckled left hand clutching a sheathed sword underneath a cloak definately makes the person look suspicious. Vendors yelling the titles of their wares at him. Irritating him. Finally, the man turns down a poorly lit, secluded alley. Most people would define that as a bad move.
Out of no where, a band of rugged looking civilians attempt to surround our protagonist. After smelling the horrible stench of the would-be attackers, he takes his hood down, looking around at the hobos who have seemed to have trapped him. Seeming to be outnumbered, he counted them in his head, just to be sure. 'one... two... three... four.... okay, four of them... now... one..... one of me... dammit, where are the rest of me when I need me!?'
His attackers' laughter sought to be intimidating. They just seemed like broken circus performers.
"What's your name, boy?" one of the badly smelling hobos yelled
"Well, my parents were gonna go with Randomassailantkiller, because I broke a mugger's neck before I could walk." the man was obviously bluffing, "But I guess they settled with Koios Starscream. Hey--"
One of the muggers dashed to grab the quarterstaff that Koios carried on his back. Turning quickly, Koios unsheathed his swords and lunged them into the man's stomach. Then, in opposite directions, he pulled the two swords apart while still firmly lodged into the criminal, severely wounding him and splattering blood in the process. Widening his stance, he looked over his shoulder at the robbers with an insane look in his eye.
"Okay," he addressed the now fearful muggers, "never try to attack an armed opponent without a weapon!"
By the time he finished his sentance, Koios was yelling at them, as they were already running scared for their lives.
"...Well, that didn't take much..." He put his swords together and sheathed them, then proceeded to continue walking.

Special Power: Making one person believe the ground is falling out from under them. After it's used, he is temporarily blind, slowly regaining his vision, which would return fully after 30 minutes. Only available once every day.

Overall, not too bad, a tad boring but that doesn't really matter.

Armor: Just a question, when you say black 'chain' greaves, do you mean chain mail or... just specify for me.

Personality: Take out the borderline insane part... I know you wish you were but nothing in your personality lends itself to that description.

Strengths: If he's only good with his bow during training and stealth situations, put that in your weaknesses.

Weaknesses: Not bad but for the heavy weapons just put that he sucks with them unless you add why you do (ex. heavier than what he's used to etc.)

RP Sample: Stop using the word 'enigma' and such, also "bathless" is not a word. At least not in the context in which you're trying to use it in.

Spelling, spelling, spelling and grammar.

Power: What would be th use of x-ray? Though I have to admit, I like the temporary blindness after. If not, I was going to give you the power of creating the illusion of the ground falling out underneath your opponent (presumably) once a day.

I like the x-ray, it about due time someone has a power that doesn't lend itself to help in battle. Aldaras appreciates that, he told me that himself.

One more thing how sharp are your swords. They should NOT be able to go through someone's body. Seriously, edit it if you'd please, it's just bugging me.

Other then that, listen to Drestia, she's smarter then me.

Alright, I think it's all fixed up. Anything else that needs attention? Oh and for the record, I edited my history to tie in with Phrixus'. Hope that's ok.

Them tying in is fine, as long as he agreed, which I am told by him he did, so yeah. Wow, you want to be temporary blind don't you? The moral of the story is don't jack off as often as him and you won't have that problem. Next, please explain to me, how the hell can your swords separate, yet still be able to effectively be used as one piece? I can't seem to figure out how in the 860s that they would forge that.

Ok, so I pretty much scrapped the idea of the one sword coming apart. I have seen the error in my ways. But I figure I can still have them sheathed together, right? If not, then both could be sheathed seperately, one above the other on the left side of my belt. It's not that much of a stretch of the imagination, so I don't think I'd have to change all that much.

Alright, so is there anything else that needs attention, or am I pretty much set?

Better, few more things

-no black chain mail... people wouldn't have the time to paint them black and there are no naturally occuring metals used for mail that are black.

-vambraces generally only go about to the elbow

-this is just curiosity, how does he carry the staff on his back? And wouldn't you hit it while you were walking? It's only half a foot shoter than you.

-in strengths you say good with ranged weapons... please specify which ones

-you don't have to change this if you don't want to but your personality seems too... happy for being a mistreated slave-type person in the army. Just saying.

-Power is lovely, love the weakness on it. C'est bon.

For the personality, I did say that I try to hide most of my emotions. So I come off as a carefree person, but I could be crying myself to sleep every night for all you know. Hehe, just saying.
So I think I've changed everything else though. Now, before I continue to make an ass out of myself (note: I used the word continue) is there anything else, oh mighty admin. team?

Okay, I have a quick question I would like you to answer, I'm not saying to change it, I just want a mental picture. What exactly would trhe iron studding look like? After that everything is in order.

So I Accept

the leather armor would be held together with iron studs. Little metallic nails, or dowels or whatever you want to call them are keeping the blackened leather cuirass held together... alright?

Yeah, I was just thinking like the studded belt, and was making sure it wasn't that. It sounds perfect.

Awesome. Now if the loverly Ms. Drestia would kindly make an appearance. Maybe even say I'm accepted, I think I would cry tears of joy.
Don't you just love it when people actually read the basic rules and listen to the admin team instead of trying to convince them that mages CAN exist?
