Why did you decide to join the Guild? Well, initially, I was asked if I was interested in joining Ere Argus. At first I was reluctant as I wasn't really looking for a guild but I've been looking more into it and would like to see how things work out. What other Role-playing guilds have you been in? A long, long time ago I used to run a guild. A Blood Elf only guild. On this very server indeed! Yeah, so I used to run Quel'Sin which, at the time, was doing quite good considering there were quite a few other Blood Elf guilds around. Was part of "The Covenant" (I think that was it?) and such. Quite a success. Other than that, I never really been part of any guilds on the Defias Brotherhood. On Sporeggar I, together with a friend of mine, also formed a guild but we never really got far with that as that was around the time I left World of Warcraft for... long. Other than that, I've mostly been more of a lone wolf. No exciting résumé here I suppose. Do you have any special 'interests', like writing stories, drawing or anything of the like? Yes and no. I used to really like writing and drawing but, likely due to my severe case of laziness, never really had time for it as time passed. It's been a while since I have done either. I do often fiddle around with Photoshop if that counts. Drawing I will likely not bother with anymore, I've had my share of art lessons, but - if I have time - I'd love to write a story about something interesting. What do you expect from the Guild? A nice, not too strict (Reasonable), roleplaying guild. As I mentioned, I've never been much of a guild person. I've really only ever joined one as an officer or as a founder and generally prefer to go solo. That said, I'm mostly just looking for a nice and social guild that has nice and mature people I can talk to from time to time. How good is your knowledge of English? I prefer to let others be the judge of that but I speak, type, read, whatnot it fluently and, although it is not my native language, prefer to use it over pretty much any other language. I've never had a problem with English, at the least. Anything else you might want to add about yourself Ehm... Nothing I can really think of right now at any rate. I'm not sure how much I'll be online. I'm leveling up a Night Elf priest as of late and only recently got back into the game. Why did you name your character the way you did? Don't expect anything original or creative here, I named my character - like I've decided to do with all my Alliance characters thus far - after a username I've been using frequently on other games and the likes "Haasth". With my Draenei it was merely a matter of adding something to make it sound "Draenei". I quite liked "Haasth'al" (Haasthal in-game) and thus it was decided. Exciting, I know. What is your character's personality? Hmm... Everything I have thought of so far about my characters is merely a basic idea. A sketch if you will. In that sketch Haasth'al is quite the loner (Ah, I do like the loner/pariah kind). Furthermore, he is curious and interested in learning. He was a technician before he delved into the shamanistic arts (Which isn't much of a stretch I figure as shamanism is new to Draenei after all) and spends a great deal of time in deserts reflecting and in thought. He's an intelligent person. Although many things on Azeroth, and many things in general, are new to him he picks things up quickly and sees through a great deal of things. He's a kind person, but also practical, he would - preferably - not involve himself into any shady business but if he deems the risk small enough and the reward just he might just take it. Furthermore, he is not much of a social type. He really only got to know one person thus far, a Dwarf of all people, and doesn't spend much time in cities or social environments. He feels quite out of a place in say Stormwind and likely isn't seen there a lot unless it is perhaps the Park. This is partly due to his bad encounters with Humans, perhaps, but even on the Exodar he doesn't always feel very welcome. Likely due to many Draenei being somewhat against shamanism (or so I believe was mentioned various times). Lastly, he also has a sense of superiority within him. Although, trying not to be too prejudiced to races he hardly knows anything of, from what he has seen many of the races on Azeroth seem... bluntly... dumb and obsessed with insignificant things. He is somewhat fascinated by Gnomish and, to a much lesser extend, Goblin engineering although he deems it - in many cases - 'clumsy'. How do you think your character will fit with the guild concept? Hmm... I suppose this is not such a stretch but the simple answer would probably be that he feels Draenei society, in general, is very threatened as it is. By sources from all sides and even within the Alliance. With many of his old goals shattered and now without any clear future on Azeroth he deems it important to help out to a reasonable amount. Haasth'al is also very interested in Kalimdor and could use some help in traversing the landscape with all it's dangers. How easy is your character to anger? Haasth'al is, for a Draenei, a rather neutral person. Although Draenei are generally seen as extreme in one way or another he is more of a calm person and is not someone who is quickly angered. This does not mean he will just stand by passively if he, or those he cares about, are threatened however. But in general he is not easily angered. He certainly won't start any fights because a foolish Human decided to mock his hooves and why his legs do not get crushed under the weight. What are your character's views on Death Knights, Warlocks and Orcs? My character has had very little run-ins with the undead. Because of this, his views on Death Knights aren't quite established yet. He is somewhat aware of their existence but sees no direct danger in them. After all they merely embrace a path differently from the light that might well serve them well in the end, much like he does himself. However, Warlocks are a different story. Warlocks are, as many Draenei will likely agree with, a source of danger. They're ticking time bombs waiting to go off. Their magic will lead to nothing but destruction in the end and have already done so on many, many occasions. Although he won't quickly insult or mistreat a Warlock on his side he will certainly try to distance himself while keeping an eye on the warlock at all times. Orcs in general is not something he hates. Although they have done much harm to the Draenei the Orcs on Kalimdor seem different. On his travels he has had much time to observe them and sometimes they even seemed peaceful. ------------------------------- IC Part To the Archons of the commune Ere Argus. My name is Haasth'al. I have served as a technician for a great deal of time on various locations. With the unfortunate crash of the Exodar I have spent a great deal of time exploring the new world we find ourselves upon. Azeroth seems... interesting but also highly dangerous. We, as a people, are threatened by a great many deal of things and realizing that I have felt the need to contribute in a way that seems fitting. However, I am not solely a technician. I have taken upon myself an interest in shamanism and my training has been quite successful and rewarding. Although not everyone might seem shamanism a worthy trade I feel that it could help out our people in a great many ways. I should add that I spend a good deal of time traveling which, admittedly, is another reason as to why I would like to join the commune. I have spent most of my time traveling on my own and have made limited contact with the other races we now find ourselves allied to and realize that, regrettably, in many cases I am not capable of solving every problem I encounter on my own. I hope this application reaches you swiftly and patiently await your response. - Haasth'al. ------------------ Well, I hope this doesn't have too many mistakes. I'm quite tired at the moment. |

Seems very thorough, although you... Abuse the... Ellipses... Sometimes... I don't see any actual problems with it, though. |

What can I say? Some people like the color red, some people like chocolate... Me? I am a man of ellipses. |

I'm convinced to agree with Sanara. No surfacing issues appear, so, hmm, let us say.. Yeah, it works. Smooth and not clustered with irrelevant bread-text. Your call, Sanara, I'm all in! |
