-Have you read the guild concept? Yes, not sure I remember everything in detail but I got the idea! -Have you read the draenei lore on wowwiki? Yes! Same here, I'm quite new to roleplay - but as someone else said, roleplay is like sex, the only way to become good at it is to practice with others that are good! So that's why I don't want to wait with my application any longer - but I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I want everything to be good even from the beginning. Which is impossible! So here we go... Name: Shalique IC nick: Shalir Gender: Female Race: Draenei Class: Priest (holy) Level: 61, will level her to 70. (Haven't got wotlk) _________________ OOC part You -Why did you decide to join the Guild? Oh, because I feel a little lonely. And I want to learn more about roleplay and the english language. -What other Role-playing guilds have you been in? I'm in the guild "The cult of shadow", a undead guild on Defias. My UD's called Eilir, so don't keel her if you happen to see her around! ;_; Oh, and... I was in some other casual roleplaying guild long time ago, I dont even remember its name anymore. I do roleplay everyday, with a friend on MSN - however I'm a roleplaying beginner when it comes to roleplaying in english, directly in a game. -Do you have any special 'interests', like writing stories, drawing or anything of the like? Oh, yeah, all of the mentioned. I write in swedish mostly, though. I do draw alot, both by hand and on the computer, if you want some help with logos or whatever just poke me, maybe I could be of assistance! -what do you expect from the Guild? Roleplay, of course. And some OOC chatting, and friendly behaviour even if I happen to fail with lore or something. -How good is your knowledge of English? Haven't you noticed? My native language is Swedish, but... Yeah. I'm kinda slow when I write, but I'm up for some practice. -anything else you might want to add about yourself Oh... One thing: I might be offline sometimes, for longer periods, like... two weeks or so, if I have much to deal with in school. Happens sometimes. Your character -Why did you name your character the way you did? Haha, ouch. I would like to rename my character, but it costs way too much, so I'll just stick with the same name I gave her many years ago when I created her. However I decided to give her the nickname Shalir, since I really don't find the name "Shalique" very draeneiish. I think it's the letter Q that kind of disturbs me... -What is your character's personality? Jumping from the emotionless Undeads to the heartwarming Draenei is not an easy task for me... But I can't blame anyone but myself! Shalir might turn out to be a bit unfriendly, but I hope I can make her less prejudiced and snooty! -How do you think your character will fit with the guild concept? I think she'll fit in quite well, she's in need of more social bounds. As an alchemist she sometimes has to travel to gather specific reagents, and at her journeys she usually lacks the company of other draenei. Not that the guild would help her with that issue, but she would probably feel more comfortable being part of something. -How easy is your character to anger? If Shalir gets angry, it's more likely for her to be sulking than actually screaming or in other ways act in an agressive behaviour. Since I'm a bit new to the draenei culture and all, I believe Shalir might seem confused as well, wether I want her to or not! -What are your character's views on Death Knights, Warlocks and Orcs? She doesn't like them. Perhaps she should be more acceptive towards them, but she feels a little uneasy around them and connects their appearances to something more unpleasant and wishes not to socialize with them too much, although she's pretty good at keeping her cool around these beings even though she feels this way. After the crash she doesn't remember too much of her past and naturally acts mostly out of her own intuition, or perhaps, should I say, instincts? ___________________ IC part Greetings, you follower of the holy light. I hereby write you a letter, and I believe you're most curious to know why. I'll tell you the truth within short. For too long, the draenei has been fleeing! And the crash were of course, most unfortunate, but it also brought us to this place which we can now actually call our very own home. We do have a debt to the elves we must pay, something we must never forget, but at the same time our home needs defending. And not just that, it needs to open up for individuals to meet and join forces. I wish I could spend more time on the isles, but my herb-gathering sometimes forces me out of draenei residences, to lands far away which are occupied by other races. This is both interesting and fascinating to me - but you must know, that some of us actually forget the draenei warmth and spirit after being gone, or separated from other draenei for too long. I wouldn't say this has happened to me, but I wouldn't want it to happen either. When I heard about Ere Argus, I was filled with joy - I don't know wether my family is dead or alive, but my family shall stretch beyond my relatives and I realized that Ere Argus would be something of great help to me. And of course, I hope that if there is room in your company for someone feeling rather rootless like me, I hope to help constitute the family we shall be - and strengthen the bound we shall keep sharing through all times. I'll be waiting for your reply. Sincerely, Shalique |

A pretty thorough application, both IC and OOC, and I suspect the <Cult of the Shadow> itself being a pretty good credential. Approved (1). |
