OOC Summary:

The Draenei diplomatic missions established in Alliance cities are intended to provide some common ground for Draenei RP to stand on outside of the starter isles and Shattrath City, allowing for some convenient sites for IC meetings or use as casual RP hubs.

There is currently an embassy in Ironforge's Military Ward and one in Stormwind's Cathedral Square canals district. Please observe the usual courtesies regarding the use of specific buildings in roleplay.

Despite years of cooperation the Draenei on Azeroth remain strangers and aliens to the planet's natives, and sometimes face prejudice and hostility as a result. In an effort to further the understanding between the Draenei and the people of Azeroth, as well as provide safe-havens for Draenei travelling abroad away from the Exodar, embassies have been established in the cities of the Draenei's honored allies, and continue to be maintained as homes away from home by Draenei diplomats, explorers, adventurers and soldiers in the Alliance.

Each embassy has been established through close cooperation with the respective governments of the cities in which they stand, and Draenei representatives anointed by the Prophet Velen and under the guidance of the Naaru and the Light. The embassies are sanctified as to be pure of evil and warded against magic for protection, and are kept supplied by donations with food rations and spare clothes for those in need.

Ironforge Embassy

The Exodar embassy to Ironforge was established by the Ironforge Senate on the request of Farseer Sanara of the Ere Argus Commune, 3 years after the Draenei's arrival on Azeroth.

Located at the outskirts of the Military Ward, towards the Commons, this large two-story building was specifically requested by the Exodar representatives despite opinions in the Senate that the Draenei already held a place in the city, with Farseer Javaad and Farseer Eannu representing the Earthen Ring in the Great Forge. After having the difference between the Alliance-aligned Draenei of the Exodar and the strictly neutral Earthen Ring explained, the Senate granted the use of the building to the Exodar unconditionally, as gracious hosts for their allies.

Relations between the Draenei and the Dwarves are very good, and have improved even further by the inclusion of the Wildhammer clan in Ironforge, with whom the Draenei have long held a favorable relationship as the Alliance's only cultures practicing shamanism, and the Wildhammer allowing Draenei colonies to be settled in the Hinterlands. These colonies have supported the Wildhammer in return, fighting the Forsaken expansion into the Hinterlands and the Wildhammer's ancient enemies, the Forest Trolls.

Trade between the Exodar and Ironforge was once prominent through the Azuremyst-Auberdine-Menethil Harbor shipping lanes, but with the closing of the trade lane during the Scourge War and later destruction of Auberdine and much of Menethil Harbor during the Cataclysm, both cities now trade closer to home. Most trade still going directly between the two cities concerns precious metals and gemstones, a love of which both people share.

Stormwind Embassy

The Exodar embassy to Stormwind was established by the Stormwind Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the request of Anchoress Exaythe of the Ere Argus Commune, 7 years after the Draenei's arrival on Azeroth.

Located on the outer ring of the Cathedral District, facing the canals and the Trade District beyond, the Exodar Embassy was once owned by the Whitestar company which made use of the building as an office and as a diaspora house to provide a place for Draenei visitors to Stormwind to gather and feel at home. After the dissolution of Whitestar the building continued to be used unofficially by Draenei visitors, and the Exodar eventually requested its official use, which the Stormwind Ministory of Foreign Affairs granted in exchange for an equivalent embassy on Azuremyst Isle.

Relations between the Draenei and the Humans are friendly, improving lately through the efforts of Prince Anduin Wrynn of Stormwind and Prophet Velen of the Exodar. In Stormwind Keep, Emissary Taluun advised Highlord Bolvar Fordragon, and later continued to advise the returned King Varian Wrynn, and Farseer Umbrua is the first non-Krokul Draenei Shaman to set foot in the Eastern Kingdoms, teaching shamanism to travelling Draenei and the occasional curious local.

The Draenei have provided expertise in fighting dark magic and the undead alongside Stormwind forces, though famously the Cult of the Damned attempted to drive a wedge between the Draenei and the Alliance Vanguard in Northrend, ultimately being foiled by the efforts of Alliance champions. The Krokul outpost known as the Harborage cooperates closely with the Human outposts at Marshtide Watch and Nethergarde, and the Draenei have provided individual specialists to Stormwind causes in Darkshire, the Plaguelands, Stranglethorn Vale, and Pandaria.
