Zeta Board Conversion Complete

Posted by Emily_Konichi (Head Admin) at Oct 27 2008, 02:14 AM. 2 comments

So...I hopped on the forum today, and BAM the whole forum had been converted to Zeta Boards. I told it to convert about 2 months ago, and had given up on it being converted. I guess I don't need to worry about it now...in either case, I hope you all enjoy the new forum, and to all who signed up before the conversion: Yes, your accounts are still setup, this isn't a complete and total remake like it was before...

Again, I hope you enjoy it. To be truthful, I'm surprised it even happened.

ZetaBoards "Beta Run"

Posted by Emily_Konichi (Head Admin) at Aug 29 2008, 06:54 AM. 0 comments

So, we now have a forum up on ZetaBoards. Problem is, none of our members are on there now. Due to continuous spam problems here in Invision Power Board, however, I have decided to give ZetaBoards a try. So, I ask all forum members to run over to the new zetaboards and sign up and post there. http://s1.zetaboards.com/Book_of_Change/index/ We will see how it works out, and from what happens, the move may become permanent. If it does, this board will be shut down, leaving only the ZetaBoards. So, hop on over, talk, and let's all have fun.

EDIT: Also, Validation has now been changed to "Admin Validation" meaning one of us admins must validate the account before it can do anything. This is a hope that it will stop the spam bots.

Conversion to Zeta Boards

So, Zeta Boards is allowing us to convert our forums over onto their server, and use their system. As soon as everything is done, we will inform all of you...I am not sure what the conversion process will entail...but if this board suddenly disappears, it is possible we moved to zeta boards...we will keep you posted on the Book of Change main site news. http://bookofchange.smackjeeves.com

The Return!

Posted by Emily_Konichi (Head Admin) at Mar 27 2008, 11:13 PM. 0 comments

That's right, for those who don't check the Book of Change main site, today is our official relaunch of Book of Change. We'll be starting it off first with an introduction filler from our new artist, TR. It will introduce his new style for everyone to see. After that, on Tuesday, April 1st, we will be starting things up completely. So, leave your comments, welcome our artist, and let the odd changing, gender bending, world hopping, and who knows what else that will be involved in this comic, begin!

Validation

In a hope to stop spam bots that have been charging full on lately, I have turned on the e-mail validation tool. It is the hope that it will stop all spam bots (though probably not). So, I apologize to new members, but I really don't want spam bots all over the place.

To Deviantart

Posted by Emily_Konichi (Head Admin) at Feb 18 2008, 12:50 AM. 0 comments

For those of you who have been wondering (if there are any) we still have found no artist. I have been getting a greater desire to launch this thing, but without an artist, I can do nothing...the main problem is, I seem incapable of learning to draw...my brother probably said it best "If you don't have the talent for it, you can't learn it." Sadly, it seems I have no talent for taking things out of my head and putting them down on paper in any other form then writing. So, as a hope to keep BoC alive, and so I have something to give to artists who are interested in drawing the comic, I will be performing a "Rayne" by posting the scripts to the comic on my deviantart account. For those of you who don't know, Rayne is the writer of Abstract Gender, who is in the same position I am, and thus is doing the scripts-on-deviantart thing.

So, for anyone who wants to read them, hop over to http://emilyanncoons.deviantart.com/gallery/#Book-of-Change to read them. There is also a lot of other stories and things up there as well to read if you are interested. Hopefully the next news post will be when we have a new artist...but it is unknown at this time.

To Comic Genesis readers

Posted by Emily_Konichi (Head Admin) at Feb 2 2008, 01:53 AM. 0 comments

To all of those who read Book of Change on Comic Genesis, we do apologize for not updating in the slightest on there. However, due to recent developments, we figured it best not to update there. Due to the difficulty of deleting all the comics, then most of the other webpages and things, we (or rather I) have decided to stop using the Comic Genesis site. It will still be there...floating through the internet...but we will no longer be updating it. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however, we still are on Smack Jeeves. You may find the link to the comic as the "The Comic Itself" redirecting forum. It leads to the Smack Jeeves one.

Rule Change #2

Posted by Emily_Konichi (Head Admin) at Jan 18 2008, 09:34 PM. 0 comments

As a note, rule B has been changed. If you read "B. How these rules are presented to you" You will see that I have added a short overview/summary of each rule. However, I have left the other rules there. All punishments will still be given in accordance with the FULL DETAIL rules, thus not knowing what something is (i.e. necro-posting, spamming, bumping, E-drama, etc.) is not a reason to still do it and it will STILL be punished. This is done for those people who don't have the time to read the full rules, or for those who are simply just impatient. So, have a nice day now, and I hope that this new set of rule modifications can help make most people happy. Know that I WILL NOT take down the long rules, and that I am currently working on editing the long rules...as I have found several things I forgot to edit that still deal with Creation Asylum and/or RMXP Unlimited.

Rule Change

Posted by Emily_Konichi (Head Admin) at Jan 2 2008, 10:35 PM. 2 comments

I have modified rule number 12, so please read it. I will also be working to modify all posts to check for anything that now goes against rule 12. No warnings will be made, but posts WILL be edited. If you have a problem with it, I don't mean to be mean by this but "Tough!" All posts must be edited to fit the new rules, and you are free to yell and scream and flame about your post being edited if you want to...just remember it WILL be treated as an infraction, as the rules state. Otherwise, enjoy.

The following was added to rule 12, though I just recommend re-reading the entire rule: "Also, do not post anything that wouldn't be in the webcomic. By that, I mean that our webcomic currently forbids certain words or actions. I do not mind swearing at all, that is fine, but keep it to a minimum is all I ask. The two words I never wish to see are as follows: the S word and the F word. Please swear in moderation. It is not a big problem if you swear, but we will crack down if someone is using swear words every other word kind of thing."

EDIT: Also, feel free to PM me and let me know of any posts I missed to fix up. I will fix it up if you do. Just make sure you link to it...don't just say "It's in the Debate Forum" or whatever...there is a spot you can click to get the URL for a post, so click it.

Forum Name Change

Posted by Emily_Konichi (Head Admin) at Nov 30 2007, 12:47 AM. 2 comments

As of today, the "General Debate" forum is now renamed the "Comic Debate and Discussion" forum. People seem to have been asking about which forum to ask questions and debates about, and I realized it may have had to do with the fact it wasn't really named to say what the forum was forum. That has been changed, and I hopes that makes it easier for people.
