Kinda. We were, but our priest was a bastard so we became Catholic-lite (anglican) my mum still works for the catholic church though. |

I'm not Catholic, but I might as well be. Technically, I'm not anything because I was never baptized. My parents are Episcopalian, and that's what I would be, and that's what I tell people I am, unofficially. The reason I say I might as well be Catholic is because I have spent more time in Catholic church and school then anything else. I've been in private school all my life, and Catholic school for the last six years, and next year will be my seventh and final year. By force, I have studied the Old and New Testaments and the Catholic church's take on them and other things that are church-related. I attended Catholic mass once a month, wheil I have only been to my Episcopalian church once a year for the last four years. I always thought the sign of the cross was a Catholic thing because I do it multiple times a day at my Catholic school, and I only found out that it was an all-around christian thing when I saw people doing it in my Episcopalian church a few years ago. So, yeah I am extremely familar with the Catholic faith and would be well prepared to be baptized Catholic if I wanted to, but I don't. No offense, but the Catholic church is too stuck on rules, regulations, and traditions that don't seem to fit in to the grand scheme of life any more. I'm not saying it should be trendy or anything, but it could stand to modernize somethings. But, the Catholic faith isn't so bad, my boyfriend isn't commited to many things, but he does go to his Catholic church for Sunday mass every week for the most part. And he goes because he wants to! That's more then many Catholics can say. So they must be doing something right.

I'm not catholic...well I want to be. I want to go to classes and get myself baptized and all that good stuff. I was raised Jewish and although there is nothing WRONG with the Jewish faith I have always felt that the teachings of the church were what I should be following. I'm going to go to the church by my house and see if I can take some classes so I can become catholic. ~Monica |

I'm technically Catholic, I'm baptised and all that, but I don't go to church every Sunday or anything. I go every now and again but not all the time. |

Monica! Good luck with that! I'm glad to finally see someone choose a religion they want rather than the one their parents chose for them. |

I tell you, koolkoala, a couple more years and you'll be fed up and won't go to church even if you get paid for it. Cos that's what happened to me... I mean I'm catholic mainly because it's the religion I got since I was born. My school is catholic and most Argentinian people are catholics, I believe in God and the whole dogma (except for some things...) but I don't go to church every Sunday because 1) my parents never did and 2) we have mass at school almost every week so I don't think I need it and I think that I'm a much better person than many people who go to church every week. It's subjective, though. That's only my opinion. |

Monica, wanna switch? I prefer the local synagouge to my church-the RAbbi is so much better of a preacehr than the guys at my church. ERFanfreak94-I'm in very much the same boat as you. Although I'm technically on the border. I'm a cradle catholic, but we converted to Episcopalian (Although I just call it anglican, a lot easier to spell) when our asshole preist chased us away...and I started going to the episcopal church cause they had paid touring choir, although I got kicked out of that. Episcoplan's pretty much the same as catholic-only more singing, and less personal guilt. I mean, it WAS started as Catholic without the pope after old Henry got himself kickd out of the church... |

Godess-- Jeeshers. I like the priests at my church. Except for this one. He gives me the willies. Oh and there's this four grade CCD teacher at our church and, I swear, I think he's a pedaphile. I'm afraid to even go in the same room as him without my mom. Has anyone else ever gotten this feeling from someone they don't know? Or is it just me?? I mean he's teaching CCD, you'd think nice guy right?? I don't know... |

I think I could adapt to the Episcopalian religion. What I love the most is to sing! =) Sarah, it's not only you... My sister's teacher (who teaches Health and I dunno what) looks like a really nice guy when he's with them but I think he's creepy. It's just his face!!! Bold, with a rusty dirty beard and Harry Potter-ish glasses that cover his (very) small eyes. When he looks at me I swear it sends chills down my spine (and not in the good way). I'm afraid of him!

Rose-- Oh good. This guy doesn't look creepy. Pretty standard. Oval face, blonde hair, blue eyes, shorttt hair, medium build, 5'7"ish, wears khackis and a blue shirt that matches his eyes, brown shoes, big hands... But I talked to him one night for the teacher induction and my mom was there and my mom talked to him. So I said like "hey" and stuff and then like five minutes into my mom and his conversation I couldn't stand it anymore. So Iwas like, "Mother! Let's go." So she said goodbye and we walked away and I told her not to talk to him agian. She didn't see it though. But my friend Danyelle saw him once because she went to CCD with me and she was like wow he's weird. And I was like Ok! It's not only me. |
