...For some reason I usually like the movies no one else likes...(*cough* scooby-doo)

Others include, Heathers(well, I'm not sure if I actually like it or not...it's just so deranged that it makes you think), Sleepy Hollow, and super-cheesy eighties flicks...Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, anyone?

Does anyone know why we know that the movies are terrible, and still watch it everytime its on tv/buy it?

I've been trying to find it for a while now, and I haven't seen it anywhere--until yesterday, then of course, I bought it and watched it twice...

It's so cheesy and predictable--I love it!

Two of them come to mind in an instant:

Creature (with Klaus Kinski), sort of an alien ripoff with the thing tossed in. Questionable realistic space crews, poor approaches to situation, but it has at points interesting subplots that promote further imagination ........ though they don't show up in this film.

Deathstalker (with Barbi Benton) one of the early barbarian movies that seems to concentrate more on the nude female and jiggling breasts and has received the comment more than once that it is best if watched drunk. Still, some of the fight scenes are nice and gory and the wizard shows that, as with reality, if you can't afford to pay too much, don't be disappointed with what you get (ie, his magic is questionable but he does have some interesting lines).

Hmmmmmm, going back, I see I've been here before and I am somewhat consistent. The thing about Deathstalker II is that the outtakes are mostly more fun to watch than the actual movie. Almost. The villian in II is such an ideal villian, suave, dangerous, sexy. He is better than the villian in the first for while he was (first movie) pretty evil, he was also pretty just downright gory. II puts the fun back in evil. II also has points in a semi nice Amazon queen and though I wouldn't have known it the first time I saw the movie, her mannerisms resemble Lisa Emerson (Dana Delaney) in "Exit to Eden" (with what little I've seen of that film).

About other movies commented on? The only one I've seen is "Heathers" and I rather like that one but then again, as HBO says, it is a teenage romance ........ with a body count.

And more or less why I like it...I just put it in the 'Bad Movies' list because it seems that everyone else that I know hates it totally.

OMG! I love that movie, it's not bad, it's great. It's the only thing I like Winona Ryder in!
And I absolutely adore Three Men And A Baby/Little Lady - they are so cheesy and predictable but I have seen them countless times!!!

I loved Honey!

My sister tried to force me to learn the dance routine that they teach you in the dvd extras...I have a good memory for the moves, I am just too uncoordinated to execute them :iffy: I'm kinda a Jessica Alba fan, though (only person I know who will still regularly catch Dark Angel reruns  ) ...and of course, Mekhi Phifer and the little kid who plays Raymond are great!
