I just permanently relocated myself to Chicago, IL (The actual city, not the burbs) in August...

It is even more fun to watch ER now, becuase I can be like "I know where that is!"

It's also a bit odd though...knowing I work less than 10 blocks from the real "Cook County Hospital" (which was recently rebuilt as john stroger I believe.... So I am constanly looking for their "setting" and thinking---that is NOWHERE near where they are pretending to be :( ...
At any rate....all the major hospitals mentioned on the show, rush, st. lukes, cook county, etc are about 20 blocks west and 10 blocks south of the washington/wells "EL" stop often shown in er. (Chicago is on a "grid" system, so you always know how many blocks away you are from the "center of the city" unless your on a wacky diagonal street, of which few exist)

There are in fact two medical center stops...Medical Center and Polk---both are the "blue line" not the brown/orange line they often show....

Hope they film on location in Chicago soon! (And I hope it's on a day I have off of work!)

Anyone else out there from the city?

I'm not from there but thats pretty cool. I wouldn;t mind living in Chicago one day, and not just because thats where they set ER.
I read somewhere that ER shoots early on sunday mornings when they are in chicago.
