Winter 2004/2005

- A lawyer is giving his card to patients in the waiting room saying that if they are not seen soon, they could be looking at a very lucrative cash settlement. He even has an office on wheels just parked in front of the hospital! A patient with a knee problem comes in and Pratt isn’t in a hurry to take care of him. Kovac wants to improve the ER’s staff communication. Neela takes care of a 15-year-old girl with scalp lac because her brother hit her with a lamp… but she has more problems than meets the eyes. Ray’s roommate flaked out on him and wonders if Neela would like to share the apartment with him because it would cost him cheaper. It looks like Abby may not appear much in the first half of the episode as people keep asking Neela who is Abby holding up (in reference to the kidnapping). When Abby will appear in the ER, she still seems shaken up. Carter, Sam, Morris, Jerry, Lewis, Wendall, Dubenko, and Haleh appear in the episode. Source: SpoilerFix.com

- An abused girl is reluctant to leave her foster family and her possibly violent brother. A gunshot victim is at first misidentified. Source: ER Forums

*Susan does send Abby home early and Abby apparently accepts because a few pages later we see the tail end of the conversation with whoever Jake is.

*Carter goes home early in the first act. We see him come back to the hospital near the end of the episode. We only have him walking up to Wendall.

*Dubenko gives Abby all sorts of info about traumatic stress stuff and wants her to read. He spoke to some John Manning about her.

*There is some sort of communication problem with Pratt/Morris. Carter hands off to Luka. There is a comment about Luka's plan to make them communicate better.

*Abby is suffering after her ordeal in the last episodes, but doesn't like the fuss being made about her. Dubenko has some literature for her to read, Susan does let her go home early but I think she comes back. Someone named Jake (once was Sean?) does a nice deed for her on the El station.

*Meanwhile, Luka is trying to get the residents to connect more with their patients. Sam complains to Luka that she is swamped, and he must ask Haleh to do something because Sam is busy. Haleh, however, doesn't take it well and make a remark to Sam that of course, none of the other nurses are busy. Sam takes off to have words with Luka (but we don't know what she says).

*Meanwhile, Neela connects with a young girl in a foster home and they call in social work. The girl doesn't want to be put in a different home, and despite promises, that is how it ends up. Neela is not pleased and asks Wendall why.

*There is a grandmother searching for her grandson who was brought in as an innocent victim in a gang shooting, and they tell her the boy is dead. But going to ID the body, it turns out not to be her grandson.

*Abby has kicked Neela out of her apartment. Neela and Ray are talking and they agree to share expenses and live together. Neela thinks she's going to regret it.

*There's a character named Jake who has a scene with Abby. They appear to be standing by the El where I think Abby drops her phone and he picks it up for her. I'm not sure who the character is but it sound like they know each other. He says he'll see her tomorrow. She smiles and he manages to get her out of her head for once. It's a gift. (I'm thinking they have changed the name of Sean but it's not clear)

*There is reference to Abby not doing well. She's on automatic pilot and one of the nurses notices something is off with her. In one scene she excuses herself from a patient and says she can't do this right now.

*Dubanko tells Abby he's glad she's back. Says he's awkward, not sure how to express his genuine concern.

*Susan sends her home early. Abby says Ray is covering her shifts.

*Carter's around but there's not much info on him. At the start of the eppy is shift is over so he's going home so it's not clear if he has any scenes with Abby. We do seem him later in the eppy. He comes in on a scene with Wendall and Neela and it says he's dressed in street clothes.
