We've all seen the ER docs look at x-rays. When a gunshot victim rolls in and the bullet is still in them they take x-rays. See if you can answer these questions. (1) Do bullets show up because they are made of lead and people use lead to block out x-rays? (2) Do they show up as a white spot where something should be? (3) Do they show up as a bullet sitting there? |

No, anything that's solid will show up in an x-ray, not just because it's lead. That's why bone shows. You can see outline of other tissues too. Yes, they look white in x-rays. The more dense the material is the whiter it appears on an x-ray because of lack of penetration by the rays. |

I guess that would depend on the material of the contacts. Like I said before, more dense = less penetration by x rays = it appears whiter. |
