E4 are stopping showing new ER at 9pm on Thursdays and instead will show it only on Mondays at 10pm on Channel 4. They're going to use the 9pm timeslot on Thursdays to show classic ER, starting with Season 5 Episode 14: The Storm (Part 1), one of ER's major turning points, but a strange place to start. I'm loving ER currently, but hate it in the 10pm timeslot. I'd love it to go back to Wednesdays at 9pm on Channel 4, perhaps even going back to double bills.

I love classic ER, but I love ER at the moment, despite them almost being too different to compare. I wish they'd go back to the old theme and old ways (i.e. humour/lighting etc...) Are ratings low on E4 or Channel 4 at the moment?

In New Zealand they have moved ER from 8.30 on Mondays
to 9.30 on Wednesdays. Until this year ER still occasionally
was among the top ten most watched programmes of that week.
However this year the networks have placed all the hot new shows
on at the same time so that ER must compete against shows like
Ugly Betty, House, Desperate Housewifes, Prison Break and of
course Grey's Anatomy. However only Desperate Housewifes
and CSI still make the top ten. Shows like Lost and Grey's Anatomy
which were Number 1 last year can't even make it to the top
ten.

I usually watch 10pm on C4, so the changes don't really effect me. Maybe they reckon that by having ER only showing at one time a week on one channel they will boost ratings as everyone who watched on a Thursday will have to switch over.

I'm pretty sure they have changed it so it will be shown both on E4 and C4. Since I am doing A-Levels at the moment I don't want to go to bed to late so having one of my fave tv shows at 10 is quite sucky! However, I have been checking my sky box and murmurs of the heart seems to be showing on thrusday on E4 at 9 like usual...I think it was only a 2 week break, unless my sky box is decieving me but thats what it said. I am recording it tonight anyway, just to be on the safe side but I am pretty sure Murmurs of the Heart will be shown on thursday on E4.

I'm glad I rely on torrents and not E4 anymore. But as Natalie said, rating's wise, it will probably help ER out.
