About 1% of Croatians are muslim. I was told this by a Croatian muslim
woman I met while I was on a holiday in London some years ago.
I didn't think anything about it until I saw S12.

Anyway has Goran got something to do with bananas, chocolate,
Turkish Delight and some other things? I noticed some people
comment on these things, but I don't know what people are talking about.

1.3 % of Croats (not Croatians) are muslim, and most of them aren't Croats but Bosnians who imigrated during and after the war with Serbia.
anyway Goran is 100% catholic and Luka Kovac is also 100% catholic(something that is clearly mentioned in earlier seasons of e.r.) if he was muslim they would have named him tarik, safet, muhamed or mustafa certainly not Luka, maybe if his full name was Luka bin Kovac.

So do I man, so do I B)

I would have Linda Cardellini as a very short Bond Girl and

Goran's character would have a pug dog.

Just saw Luka in his Christmas outfit. How cute! And Abby looked
cute too in her dwarf er, I mean her elf outfit.

Goran: "Ah Mr. Bond. James Bond I would Like you to meet my
devious assistant Bugsy. Bugsy the Pugsy.

Now Mr. Bond I will tell you my plan for world domination while
you escape." B)

He really should play more bad boy roles!

He was really hot in Practical Magic. And I really love the bad
boy look in The Deep End with the neck chain and the tattoo
thing going on.

I would also love to see him in a Croatian version of Wuthering
Heights. There's the romantic side of me.

Going to see Spartacus for the first time tonight. A bit scarced
to hear he has a beard in this movie. But hear he is half naked
most of the time so it will give me something to drool over!

My Mum's also a huge fan over his. She first saw him in Dr.
Sleep and she was like "Who's that? He's very attractive!"
She's going to watch Spartacus with me. :D

Hey guys. It was already printed on the 12th in Večernji List that Goran declined the offer to play this role in Bond. I guess the Croatian stuff doesn't really make its way to ERHQ very quickly.

I saw that... is there any explanation about why he has turned down the role?
I would put some shipper message here, but I'm just not *that* kind of fan...

I believe it was something about wanting to work on different projects, but I'd have to check out the article again to be sure. Also (and this is just speculation, so don't take it from me), I'd assume that it probably has something to do with getting typecast. He's always said how he doesn't want to take roles like that- the foreign bad guy with an accent- because it would be so easy for him to get stuck with always playing those types of roles. I'd imagine he wants to work on bigger roles, the kind he's turned down in the past due to his schedule with ER, plus there's been lots of talk about a Croatian film he may be working on beginning in the summer.

Also, the article discusses the lawsuit which he's had with his former agency in Croatia, Kvadar.

A role in Bond seems to be quite a big role to turn down... Maybe he is filming another movie at the same time

Actually, a role in Bond, even if he were to play Bond himself, is a huge, huge risk. It's very big, yes, but many actors- especially Bond girls, villians and the like- who have done those films never do anything else afterwards, because it's hard to cast someone who's done something so high-profile into a different role. It's mostly due to typecasting, but it's kind of similar to over-exposure (when an actor or model is appearing in too many campaigns or projects at once). I can see why he'd turn down such a big role, really.
