"On January 3, 2006, 18-year-old Nazanin Mahabad Fatehi was sentenced to death for murder by court in Iran after she stabbed one of three men who attempted to rape her and her 16-year-old niece in a park in Karaj (a suburb of Tehran) in March 2005. She was seventeen at the time. Iran is signatory to international treaties which forbid them to execute any one under the age of 18; however they continue to do so." Nazanin Fatehi, is sentenced to hang to death for defending herself and her niece from 3 rapists. Because this trial has reached an international audiance, there will be a re-trial on January 10th. Please sign the petition to help save Nazanin's life. Click here to sign the petition. Click here to learn more about the trial. Please support the fight for Nazanin's life, you can make a difference. Please everyone sign the petition to save this poor girl's life! She does not deserve to die for defending herself and her niece! |

Unfortuately, it's doubtful that signing a petition will make any difference at all. |
| I'm beginning to think "E.R." stands for "Everyone's Retarded". | |

For once, Romano's right about something other than a misspelling. I hate to say it, but an American (or just about any European for that matter) typing their e-mail address on a digital petition isn't likely to make an impact in this instance. You want to make a difference? Start a real outcry; write letters to every newspaper, call every radio station, try to contact lawmakers and you might manage to bring a flicker of attention to this. |
