Waves39....That was TOOO FUNNY
ITA......DUUUUUHH!! Loved your neuron count of the writers! Maybe that's why Gallant wants out! No real story.
YEAH...Right! Can we take up a collection from other posters to make SURE they don't !! "
Not really, but he had a similar haircut...but actually was a much smaller man height wise. |

I thought this episode was an okay episode I still love the Ray and Zoe storyline she has an adorable / insane appeal to her and I kinda wished she'd stick around not romantically but a sister/ brother kind of way. I also love Inez I think she's a really good addition I missed Clemente alot, I didn't think I would but man do they need to keep this guy as a regular Pratt I don't like him never have, he's still as cocky as he's always been and giving students patients every once in while isn't tht big of a deal. I hate that smile of his too, when he's seen something he never thought he'd see, like morris and his new lady friend. It was nice what he did for his friend but things have a way of biting you in the ass. Weaver and Ray: I cvan't believe he pulled that off it was definitely one of the best scenes in the episode. Neela and Gallant: I've said this before I think Gallant just rbings her chracter down , Sharif I think isn't that good of an actor and you put him and Parminder, a really good rising actor together and you get a mediocre scene that's what we've been gettin since "I Do". Luka and Abby: To be honest I lopve the new Luby but its not Luby that's what I've learned in this episode. We've been so busy fighting about how in love they are or how its only for the sex. I'm starting to think they aren't writing it for either scenarios. The way they were talking int his episode it seemed they both want this baby and they want it to be with each other, but TPTB are writing them as like best friends who talk about things and go shopping and tell each other stupid jokes and aren't afraid to say these stupid jokes. This could turn into love but in my opinion it isn't one now. Sam : the only reason I'm not complaining is becasue I know she'll be getting a storyline pretty soon. I loved her two lines they were funny. |

I too am an old ER fan although an on again off again type. I missed a few seasons after Doug's departure and only came back because of Abby. Of course if you compare this season with early ones, it is not as good but it sure is better than the last 2 or 3 seasons. I'm watching the DVDs of earlier seasons and I am still enjoying season 12 notheless. Season 10 was the worst IMO, I really forced myself to watch it just for seeing Abby and Susan. I did not care at all for other characters. Now is different, the only one I don't like is Dr. Pratt. I'm not saying this because I don't want to let go of ER. I actually wanted this season to be the last because I thought that the last season I watched (season 10) was the last straw and wanted to make peace with the show. I hated it so much that I didn't even watch season 11. This season has given me back the joy of watching ER and I think one more year would be good but the show needs to end when Maura Tierney's and Goran Visnjic's contracts end. |

Just an FYI in case anyone cared ,...answering my own question.. The elderly gentleman whose wife was cared for my Dubenko was the actor/singer Harve Presnell......as I said, very much reminscent career as Howard Keel & similar vocal range & talent. He starred in The unsinkable Molly Brown opposite Debbie Reynolds & in the unfortunately terrible musical Paint Your Wagon as the saloon /whore house owner who sang the absolutely beautiful song, They Call the Wind Mariah. Recently he was the father in Fargo. Very good actor of stage, and both big & small ...he was very cridble & moving in this ep. :Brandon: Thank you for your patience.....I feel MUCH better now!

I thought this was an excellent job. Know I think Dabakno knows how hard it can be to run an Emergency Dept. I don't particulary care for what Dr. Pratt did to help his friend out. I guess Ray finally put that father in his place. I wonder if Zoe will be on ER again this season? As far as Clemente, I wonder if the last episode was his last episode. Maybe he ran off somewhere because the police found him and they know about that girl... hmmmmm... That is so funny how Abby doesn't want anyone know and her and Luka started making out in the dressing room. I think it is nice to see Kerry in more episodes again...... I wonder if there will be a divorce for Neela and Gallant. Do you think he will go back to Iraq, or stay on the show. Who knows? All and all i thought it was a good episode. |

Brandon....I don't know about the divorce, but it does seem likely. But I DO think the writers are going to write him out of the show by sending him back to Iraq. They may use that for drama later if he is killed.....as you said, who knows. Then Neela would be a widow & Ray could 'comfort' his grieving roommate. |

Another great Luby episode! Sorry but I've waited years and no one is going to rain on my parade! LMAO at them this week especially the final scene and the 'I want something to eat. Something small like a pop tart.' 'No, no more pop tarts.' They are so awesome. Do I think it's love yet? Well they definitely 'love' each other but in a romantic, love your forever, marry me sort of way? Well on Luka's part I'd say yes(and has for a while) on Abby's part I 'd say she's not there yet but that's because she won't get out of her own damn way. She knows she wants to and she knows she does but she won't let herself go there yet. LMAO at Pratt and Morris and ITA with the person who said Abby did warn Neela about marrying Gallant. I was talking to the TV, telling her the exact same thing LOL! Hate to say it but they're done. Oh well I want Ray and Neela anyway. Plus the guy that plays Gallant doesn't sound like he enjoys so it's probably for the best. |

Just a short post from me tonight (is it possible?) Thanks so much to CallaQueen, Luby4Eva, DCU, for letting me know you like my posts commenting on the previous eppy, even if they are long. I had every intention of writing one yesterday, but fate intervened. My hubby "tangled with" a chainsaw and it won. It hit him right in the kneecap and we had to made a frantic trip to the "real life ER". He had to have a lot of stitches, is in a lot of pain but is home now.I've spent most of last night and today helping him out, so he didn't have to struggle to stand up all the time. Plus, with the pain, neither of us got much sleep last night. So I'm going to bed now and will try to write one tomorrow. If I tried to write one tonight, it probably wouldn't even be coherent  Thanks for understanding and CallaQueen, I'm so sorry I missed you on the IM tonight due to this. I had been looking forward to it. To the rest of you, I apologize for this post, which is "off topic" about my personal matters. Susan

![]() I'm back to my original favorite character, Susan Lewis. Sherry, I enjoyed your acting and character so much (not just because your character and I had the same name). I loved your wit and you brightened the screen. I felt you were cheated out of a decent exit arc, when all it consisted of was a "one liner" announcement from Kerry. You deserved more... | |

I liked this episode. I thought the Luby scenes were really cute and I especially enjoyed the pop tart line, it cracked me up. I'm kind of bummed that there isn't a new one for another couple of weeks. |

I enjoyed this eppy. It didn't have a lot of fast action trauma, but even in real life big city ER's, it isn't constant trauma. There are some quieter times. That's why I thought it was funny when Dr. Dubenko asked Sam and Inez to prioritize their cases when it was so busy, and Sam told him it wasn't - that they hadn't had a bad trauma all day. I think Dubenko should stay up in Surgery. He's a good surgeon, but I don't think he could handle being an ER Attending during the times they really do get slammed! I'm glad Neela got her Surgery Elective - she certainly needed to have something good happen to her that day.Poor Neela! What a shock it must have been to her to find out "right out of the blue" that Michael wanted to return to Iraq! She thought things were going well - looking for an apartment and Michael coming back to County as an R-2. I was disgusted at Gallant - springing that nasty piece of news on her like that! As CallaQueen said above, "Does the man have a death wish?" :ph43r: He admitted to Neela that he had been thinking about returning "for weeks". My God, did he start thinking about it during their honeymoon in Jamaica? I thought Parminder did a really excellent piece of acting, portraying her shock and anger and pain. She has come a long way from the shy little med student. I think the writers planned all along to have Gallant do this, and it seems everyone thinks he's going to be "toast". I think Neela knows now what a big mistake it was, rushing into this marriage, and I anticipate a divorce. Poor Neela... I just have the feeling that TPTB will try to get Neela and Ray together. I'm not crazy about the idea of them becoming a couple. I hope the writers let them just be friends - have Ray be there for Neela when she needs someone to help her through this.Speaking of Ray, I liked his scenes in this eppy very much. His interaction with Kerry was so funny. Kerry was so positive that the pain killers didn't have her "tripping" when she took Ray's "resignation". Then Ray got this very innocent look and denied that he resigned. Kerry walked away, then turned and stared back at Ray. You could just see the moment of doubt on her face (funny!). But she hadn't wanted Ray to leave in the first place, so I guess she decided to just let the whole thing drop. Lucky for Ray! I thought he was very kind and helpful to Zoe, getting her out of her home environment and out of the Social Services foster care program (where her dad would have found her sooner or later). I used to dislike Zoe - thought she was just a little tramp groupie. But now I think she did all that to avoid having to go home. Goes to show, you shouldn't judge someone before you know all the sides of the story. Ray showed good self control after he knocked Zoe's father down to get him away from the cab. It would have been very tempting to beat that SOB up, after he had beaten you up and then his daughter. But Ray didn't want to risk being arrested for assault and he certainly doesn't ever want what happened between him and Zoe to become public knowledge (and risk criminal charges for that!). Ray spoke to Zoe's father in a threatening enough way that I think he is history!
I absolutely loved Luby! It was so cute how Abby kept poking Luka trying to get him to wake up when he didn't want to! When she first said that she couldn't sleep because she couldn't stop thinking, my first thought was "Oh no, she's going to bring up the bipolar thing again". But then it was just about what people would think! I've never had children, so I can't judge Abby's behavior. Did you moms have "hormone attacks" and become so jittery? I know the crazy eating cravings do occur. I almost fell off the couch laughing at Abby and Luka in the baby store. Abby had Luka with the baby carrier on (too small for him!!) and he was messing with that toy elephant. I "cracked up" when Abby just told him to play with his toy. Then Abby spotted the pharmacist from County and dragged Luka into the dressing room (both bent over so they wouldn't be seen) and Luka told the saleswoman "she's having trouble with her back". And he was all doubled over too! I laughed till it hurt! The look on the saleswoman's face was perfect! Then the "shush", "don't shush me", and all that followed was so sweet. Whether they want to admit it to each other or not, I think they are both very smitten with each other. I also enjoyed Abby's line (when Luka said he didn't think the pharmacist knew him): "Luka, every woman who works in the hospital knows who you are". And that's so true! A tall, dark, handsome doctor with a sexy foreign accent would not be missed by any living, breathing female! Lucky Abby! I was so glad to see this lighthearted Luby after the sober, insecure Luby of "If Not Now". ![]() Now if they could just get past one last hurdle to Abby committing... his and her apartments. Luka was trying to hint to her early on that both their apartments were too small. They need to get a larger apartment or a house because the baby will need to have his/her own room when it's older. They spend every day together, going back and forth between apartments. But CallaQueen, I have to agree with your assessment again. Abby still clings to that one little "escape route" - her own apartment - in case things don't work out. Hopefully, she'll get past that one insecurity and they can get a bigger place. Besides, it's rather ridiculous to buy two of everything! (Or four! - I loved it when Luka was teasing Abby about having identical twins on his side of the family and her reaction ).I guess I've babbled on long enough about Luby, especially for those who aren't crazy about the couple. But we're all entitled to our own opinions here! Morris and his four nipples and his date with six toes on one foot - Wow! What a visual! I'll bet the writers told their doctor consultants for the show to find a rare, kind of disgusting condition for Morris, and I imagine they had to really "dig" to find that one! I've never heard of that before (but I don't have "M.D." behind my name). Pratt was expecting to see the woman run off in horror, but it sure didn't turn out like he thought it would! Anyway, why would Pratt want to chase another woman anyway? I think Olivia is very cool. Speaking of Pratt (my last character subject - honest), I know he meant well, "covering" for Darnell. But he took a very big risk to his own career if he had been caught switching blood vials. Darnell went to the AA Meeting, but I think he just went because Pratt had saved his butt. I think we'll see Darnell getting in more trouble with his alcoholism. No one can make someone stop drinking - the alcoholic has to face the fact that he/she is an alcoholic and want help. I wonder if someday Darnell will have a bad car accident and be put in jail. Would Pratt have KJ live with him? I feel sorry for KJ. He's certainly done some stupid teenage pranks, but he seems like a good kid, and he can certainly "see through" his father's behavior. At the end, I was anxiously waiting to see the trailer for "next week's new episode" and nothing happened. Now I see it's a re-run this week - "Canon City" no less (my least favorite eppy of the entire season) I did read that the February sweeps eppys will be shown on February 2nd and 9th. But I wonder - are there any more new eppys before then? Or do we have two more weeks of reruns? This season I get so anxious to see the next eppy. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a season so much. I really hope that TPTB and the writers can get ER "back on its feet". For those of you who prefer the "old" ER, I understand that too. I loved the early ER shows - Mark, Carol, Doug, Carter, Benton. I just don't think you can compare the old and the new. Both have their own "feel", their own great eppys and their "not so great" eppys, and have to be enjoyed on their own merits. Maybe that sounds like I'm trying to "walk both sides of the fence" and am "wishy washy", but I honestly like them both! Well, gals, did I ramble enough tonight? For those I bored to death , my apologies
Susan
