With Clemente (John Leguizamo) missing in action, Dr. Dubenko volunteers to take the dayshift but ends up feeling overwhelmed. Ray (Shane West) is put in a very awkward situation when his young former girlfriend comes into the ER with serious abuse-related injuries. With a baby in their future, Kovac (Goran Visnijic) and Abby (Maura Tierney) venture out for some baby shopping. Meanwhile, Neela (Parminder Nagra) recieves word that she has been selected for the surgery elective that she had been hoping for. Mehki Phifer, and Sharif Atkins also star.

Well what can I say..I LOVED IT

Luby interaction - outstanding, they compliment each other so well. Onscreen chemistry is unmatcheable. IMHO best onscreen chemisty since Doug and Carol, hard to match.

' Don't shush me ' can you be any more adorable?

Abby tapping him on the shoulder about 3 times, so cute.

Not much I can say about this episode but love it love it love it.

& yes Dr. Kovac, every women in the ER probably knows you.

& yes Goran Visnjic every women in America(& probably the world) is jealous of your wife. Ivana your great, but if I ever meet your husband move over hunny Im taking over.

Welp thats my two cents :D ..Luka and Abby .. -sighs- can't get enough of those two.

I really enjoyed how the lightheartedness of Luka and Abby was contrasted with the tension between Neela and Michael. I though Pratt sticking up for his friend was amarably, but probably illegal. I must say that I did enjoy Sam's new hairstyle, but then again, I really like Linda Cardellini. I thought Ray kicking Zoe's Father's ass was awesome! Overall, a really good episode.

GREAT EPI!! So many storylines & all so very interesting & some extremely unexpected developments!

RAY & ZOE----So it ends.....he does the right thing by her & has his revenge on her father who beat him to a pulp. THANK GOD he didn't even for a second consider letting her live with him! I guess he has learned something!
--But I did :lmao: when he implied that Weaver misheard him 'resign' to cut his break out album! Although she was only in the epi a few minutes ...very funny Kerry! Great expression! And Thank Goodness she's going to try Physical Therapy (my profession!) instead of a total hip replacement. She's too young for it anyways. (they only last 15-20 yrs)

PRATT---you may or may not have really helped Jaycee's (sp?) father....as he so succinctly put it .."It's always a misunderstanding." If his father doesn't really WANT to stop drinking, no meeting is going to help! He has to admit he has a problem first & he sure didn't sound like he had. As for your treatment of Morris...very funny & mentioning his 'condition' in front of his blind 'Cyber" date was a bit cruel, but deserved. Although that only seemed to fan the flames for the IM chatters ultimately. "Archie" may finally get laid......Oh Great! As long as we DO NOT have to see any of it! No doubt we'll hear about it in the next few epis,...Morris is definately one to Kiss & TEll.(actually Take an Ad on the Front Page out is more like it! :hit: )

DUBENKO---The ER really is NOT your forte, but you did a good thing for that old gentleman & his wife. The pace of the place overwhelmed him, but his 'weirdness quotient' seems to have been reduced slightly since his bout with cancer & getting laid.
????The actor who played the husband reminded me of the late Howard Keel but he died 11/4/04 from colon cancer, so I'm sure it can't be him. Does NBC list who in the credits ?

NEELA & GALLANT--YES Neela........Abby said "But YOu don't even know him!" We told you so! I'm glad she got the surgical rotation she wanted, but that will be demanding & any mistakes are going to very quickly 'slap you in the face' or 'bite you in the butt' & the hours suck even worse than the ER! But you'll have plenty of time when Micheal goes back to Iraq????????? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HIM? DOES HE HAVE A DEATHWISH? :dizzy: :radioactive: : :med:
Neela better get out the Kama Sutra & see if she can 'charm' him into staying by working their newlywed nights thru the 1000 positions! :broken: It's hard to believe he wants to go back, but obviously TPTB are writing him out of the show this way....and if he dies, Neela's a widow living with RAy, now another full time doctor who has a 'thing' for her.......All those NEELRAY lovers will be happy then huh?

CLEMENTE is MIA soooooo we have to assume that trouble is coming especially after last week.....somebody is going to face the music & I have the distinct feeling it's going to be him! All because Jody is a crazy Nyphomanic stalker who can't keep her Cop husband happy :neener: (just kidding!)

:yahoo: LUBY! LUBY! LUBY! What a shock! On the spoiler poll about the sex of the baby someone suggested it would be really cool if Abby had twins instead of one child. And now LUka says Identical twins run in his family! OH GOD Abby.....we may be in for it.....another set of twins?? First Carol, now Abby?Whew! I loved all their scenes together.....I could relate....that mind-racing anxiety, the list making, the NESTING instinct (to have everything the baby needs to stay warm, safe & happy & the house ready for them) , the cravings & overwhelming hunger pangs, & the feeling that time is flying past at warp speed before the baby comes! Luka was trying so hard to fall asleep & not get too frustrated with her thrashing! :lmao: His muffled response to Abby's "Are you sleeping?" ...."Barely" was just TOOOOOO funny.
And their shopping trip....the 2 of them hiding behind the rack of materity clothes! When Luka said he didn't even know the woman from the hospital & Abby said "Every WOMAN in the hospital knows who YOU are! Don't be ridiculous!" Those tall dark & handsome fellows are always known, especially if they are doctors! :lmao:

And the hot scene in the dressing rooms! OMG>>>>Be still my heart! :Hyper: You're going to have to buy that squeaky Elephant now since you will no doubt be breaking it! But YOU GO LUBY!!! :yahoo:
Twins huh? :w00t: :omg:
[I certainly hope it didn't offend Dr. Romano too much! :P B) ]

WEll that's all for now...let's hear what the rest of you thought! :D

from what i saw of this episode, it was really good. i missed the second half, though. does anyone have good sides?

i thought the luby in it was really cute. i love how comfortable luka and abby are around each other this time. the last time they were together, it didnt actually seem like they cared about each other (except for a few little moments). but this time (yay! second coming! we never even dreamed of it so nicely!), they seem to be in it for the loong run.

i am getting annoyed at all the scenes centered around morris. i dont think anyone actually likes him. he's just... there. i think that TPTB are trying to push him on us (the viewers), and its really making me mad.

neela and gallant...... well we all knew when they got married that it wouldnt last that long... i guess we should just wait and see!

overall, this seemed to be a pretty good episode... but it seems like they are building up the suspense for something.... i wonder what?

Ok was it just me, or did anyone else think the episode was kind of boring?

Nothing really exciting happened. It wasn't that the storylines weren't good, it was just like they were there and that's it. There was no excitement.

But I will say all the Luka and Abby scenes were cute. I hope they have twins.

I don't know if it's just you but I really like this episode. Not every day is exciting and so are episodes but that's ok because there were alot of character development. Luka and Abby... what can I say but cute. I particularly liked when she poked at him. I'm starting to really like Dr. Dubenko (especially now with his short hair) who is a really sweet person, he reminds me a little of the old Carter. Ray was also very interesting and I'm also starting to enjoy watching this character. Him and Neela make a good pair as friends. Even Morris I don't mind seeing. The only character who I still don't care for is Pratt, still don't like him after all these years.

I'm really enjoying this season. In the past 3 years, I would only care for 2 or 3 characters but now I really like knowing and seeing almost all of them.

I liked this episode. I was disappointed with Pratt drawing his own blood to have tested for alcohol.. he did NOT do his friend any favours with that little stunt.

Ray won a round with the girls' father... hoo rah... but I still don't like him. Not sure why, I just... don't.

Neela: Abby did try to warn you...

I just want Morris to go away... and I'm just indifferent to Dubenko. Sam has a new hairstyle? I don't notice her anymore... am not sympathetic to her character at all. Maybe she should run away with Morris...

I love seeing Luka happy again, and seeing Abby getting into the pregnancy now that she's decided to have the baby. I am bothered by something with this storyline though... are they really planning to continue living in separate homes and all that? And Luka's joking about each of them getting custody of one if she has identical twins...

I don't know - it bothers me that they're obviously spending all their free time together, they're happily planning for the baby together, and yet there is no talk of being in love (when it appears to me that they definitely are) getting married, or at the very least living together... does this bug anyone else?

"But I don't even know who she is!" "EVERY woman in the hospital knows who you are; don't be ridiculous!" I LOVED the look on Luka's face when Abby said that to him... I was thinking, "Oh right, like he has NO clue!" At least Abby knows what she's got...

I see next week is already a repeat... not happy with that...

I agree....I think it is Abby's way of maintaining an escape route if things don't work out....notice how fast (relatively) that Sam moved in & when it didn't work out she had no place to go & had to look for a new place. Abby's sure of some things but NOT the future in general now especially. She's still committed to the children & Luka, just not ready to make that leap of faith.

Has anyone noticed NEITHER of them have talked about marriage? Just about raising the kids.....although when Luka talked about twins making custody easier as they could each have one, there was an implication of marriage, but certainly not in the most positive way!! :P

Ok I loved this episode so much!! I liked how it had a lot of humor in it with Luby because thats something we dont get to see often!! The only part of the episode I liked was the luby parts and the ray parts with zoe.

Ok so with Luby I almost rolled off of my chair laughing when they were walking down the street and luka said that identical twins run in his side of the family and Abby was like "if your little croatian seed makes me have twins..." Omg that was soooo sunny!! :lmao: I thought it was so cute when Abby couldn't sleep and was tapping luka on his back when he didn't answer her when she told him she was thinking.. hehe soo cute  Also when they were sitting at the table and abby was eating and she was figuring out what was arong with her and Luka looked sooo tired and was just like your scaring me!! hehe

With the whole ray thing it was like they never dated but they were more like brother and sister relationship!!

All around great episode!! O and no all new episode next week!! :sniff:

I am sorry but I do not agree with the other viewers. I am an old ER fan and I have enjoyed this show from the beginning, but I have to say what others are either afraid to say or don't want to say. "It is time to let this show go". The writers have apparently run out of storylines --- and you can easily see and now the show is just limping along each week. I love Abby and Luka -- but their storyline is just pathetic -- there is no life here. I am glad she decided to keep the baby -- but do we have to hear every week about her anixety over keeping it!!!.

Even Gallant has decided to go back to Iraq to keep from doing this show -- although it is a pathetic reason. I love the old characters -- but this show died when the last of the original characters left the show -- maybe even back during the "Carter goes to Africa" season. I am sorry -- I know a lot of readers will not like my assessment -- but all you have to do is watch the reruns of old episodes on TNT network and you can see how the writing has gone downhill. The chemistry that Green, Benton, Doug, Carol, Carter, and Susan had is what made this show work. When they added Kerry, Dr. Corday and Romano the action and writing was superb. Someone please pull the plug on this show while we still have good memories of past seasons. :(

Nah, maybe they just don't feel that way.

wrt Luka and Abby not living together, come on, they will, but they've only just got their heads around the idea of having a baby. Give them time people!

Cute scenes with them and what i thought was how much better their scenes were than the Carter/Kem sugar fest. That was icky. This was funny and a bit sharp and fitted their characters. She's gping for all the baby crap and he's "Why do we need this stuff?" - I bet he didn't have all that with his kids in Croatia. And Abby sure can't keep her hands off of him can she?

Well Ray I hope Zoe does forget about you by the time she's 18 and I sure as hell hope she's grown up. Stupid girl.

Aaaww - Dubenko struggling and trying to do the right thing was very sweet. I like him a lot. If I had to choose between him and Snippy New She Surgeon and say keep him and ditch her. Why do we need her?

I love Moris. I know almost noone else can stand him but he makes me laugh.

It was an okay episode. Just okay. They've done better this season, and I just think last night was something to hold us all over until February Sweeps comes.

I don't think Weaver is going to improve too much with physical therapy. But I'll hand it to her for going. Hopefully her physical therapist is better than mine. The hip replacement is inevitable, and I'm not complaining. It's something exciting for Weaver, which has been totally unheard of for the past season.

"She's watching me, isnt she"
"Yup"
"Uh huh, how bout now?"
"yeah...no, she's leaving"
Ray, Ray, Ray. I loved what he did in the beginning with Weaver. Not many have succeeded in manipulating the woman. She may not have been doped up with narcotics, but 800mg of ibuprofen (think 4 advil caplets) might make one a little loopy. The Zoe storyline wasn't all too appealing to me, but that could just be because I hate the character. Oh well, at least she's gone now.

Neela and Mike: Can we say 'predictable'? And I was so naive to think that TPTB would come up with some sort of gut-busting plot twist. Come on, who didn't see that coming? Any human with three functional brain cells could've come up with that. Very disappointing.
We'll see how this turns out.

Strike one for the ER win column in Dubenko vs. ER staff. Not so easy when you actually have to work up the patient before you cut, is it? He looked a little shaky down there in the trenches. Maybe it was just the fact that he was down there longer than the length of a typical consult. Stick to surgery Lucian.

Abby and Luka go baby merchandise shopping. Too cute. I especially liked the 'Mission Impossible' manuevers they had to do to escape the eye of the pharmacist, because "every woman in county knows who you [Luka] are" Twins would be interesting for the pair. Maybe they'll push the envelope a little further and make one bi-polar.

Pratt was doing so well, and then he went ahead and took a bullet for someone who really doesnt deserve it. I thought all of that stuff was behind him, and he grew up, matured, and kicked ass at medicine. So naive. So, so naive.

4 nipples. That explains EVERYTHING. Turned out well for our favorite red-headed nipple boy. Tamyra and Archie: six toes, and four nipples. A match made in heaven. Excuse me, I have to vomit.

~Random Thoughts~
-Inez is back!
-Anyone else think Zoe's dad looked like Alderman Bright from Season 9?
-Penny's back!
-Abby was high as a kite on hormones.
-Luka and the baby carrier...SEXY!
-Zoe was enjoying that ice cream a little too much.
-So when Abby was talking about "everyone" finding out about the baby, was that just a cover up for saying "What's your ex-girlfriend going to say about you knocking me up?"?
-Neela was right about the whole thing.
-Morris may finally get laid. I'd pay them to make sure they dont show any of it.

Line of the week runner up#2: Luka: Overnight shift has no handovers
Weaver: Gold stars for everyone.
Line of the week runner up#1: Neela: You asked me to marry you! You looked into my eyes, and asked me to share a life together. We took vows, Michael. What was that? A whim?

THE LOOK OF THE WEEK: Pratt while watching Morris and Tamyra share their...well, you know

THE LINE OF THE WEEK:
Morris: I need some advice
Pratt: stop smoking dope and slow down on the porn
