I'have nothing against Goran or Luka...i really like this character.... but the only thing i noticed the first time i saw the new generic of ER was there was no Noah anymore in it...and for 1 second i was really sad....this was the end of a really great character, a reaaly great period.... But now it's over...i like the new season!!! I find Kovach really great! And i really hope i can see Noah on screen in great movies like The myth of fingerprints/Back Home and Donnie Darko and others....

Regarding the Serbian thing- Goran's father is supposedly from Montenegro. That's Serbian. But Goran was born and raised in Sibenik, and clearly, as far as he is concerned, he is Croatian. End of story. |

guys, could you let me know if i am wrong but there was a big bust up around that area of europe a couple of years ago. so people will have spread out a lot. and anyway who cares, (apart from Goran. V) it's a bit like saying that somebody in living in england with a surname Jones which is a welsh name but lived in england all their lives saying there english. the point i am trying to make is that just because you have a name from a particular part of the would does not make you from that country. you are from any country that you believe you are part of. that's really really true! it's like the fact that my dad is english and lives in england doesn't mean i tell people i'm english, because i'm not, i was born and raised in northern ireland, which makes me northern irish, you get me? Goran always says he's Croatian, so he must be! chelsea xx |

Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro etc used to be Yugoslavia/Bosnia years ago didn't it? Then it split into different countries. My boyfriend is Welsh and his surname is Jones, but I know of a lot of English people whose surname is Jones. It isn't just a Welsh surname, although it is a very popular surname in Wales. |

I just love Luka and Goran so I did some reading up. Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro.Slavonia, they were all part of Yugoslavia and Goran is Serbian name like Patrick is an Irish name. Being called patrick in england doesnt make you Irish.Names spread out. Goran was born in Croatia and sees himself as Croatian. Goran Ivanisevic is Croatian through and through - ask the Croatians! End of. |

Did you know that Jones is such a common name in Wales because when they had the first census the english government made them write Jones if their real names were too long and difficult to spell. strange but true. and patrick is not an irish name, it is an english name [after all st patrick was not in fact irish, he was brought here as a slave]. Names like Luka and Goran would be popular in all the balkan coutries as they share a lot of culture etc. the "Bust up" previously referred to was the croatian war of independence of 1990/91 [indeed the war during which Luka lost his family] so is too recent to have really have effects like that yet. Croatia, serbia and slovenia used to be part of Yugoslavia from 1929 until Croatia and Slovenia declared independence in 1991 [barring brief spell during WW2 when Croatia became "independent" state as a puppet state of the Axis] Sorry for the history lesson, i just got a little carried away!! oh, and it's nice to see another Northern Irish person on here!![my mum is english too, but i'm deffinitley northern irish] |

Mine eyes have seen the glory of Espana "82 When little Northern Ireland Showed the world what we can do Now Lawrie is our leader and we're coming after you And this is what we sing......... (what do we sing?) We're not Brazil, We're Northern Ireland We're not Brazil, We're Northern Ireland We're not Brazil, We're Northern Ireland But it's all the same to me fingers crossed-we may actually qualify for the European cup!! the mighty boys in green are top of group F!! | |
