I should have known this would turn into Oprah's book club.

I don't see Oprah! How else would you like the topic 'what are you reading?' to go?

Ah yes the infamous "Harry Potter". I just got finished reading the 5th one now i'm on the 6th. The 5th one was okay although that Umbridge character got on my nerves. I don't like Harry much tho he gets on my nerves. I don't like the movies either. Lame. Yeah i've read The scarlet letter in english two years ago. Lets see .. Hester Prynne? And her daughter Pearl. Yeah final exams for that book was a biotch. The movie was lame as hell too. We always had to watch out for the symbols and crap. The scarlet letter being a curse as well as a blessing and stuff liek that .. well good luck with that one .. lol

ah... gotta love the hp books... but i want harry to be killed off so we dont have to listen/read his angst and him feeling sorry for himself... J.K. should totally focus on the cooler, more complex, under-rated characters like Draco and Ginny... then put them together... oh well! wont ever happen though! :grr:

Yeah, I've read the 6th book 2 times now, and Harry really bothers me.. I mean, the bathroom scene with Draco... urgh.
Snape is still my favorite, and I got some theories about why he did what he did in the end of book 6.. I won't post them though, don't want to spoil anyone. ;) Oh, and if you couldn't tell by this pointless rambling, I'm a Harry Potter-fan... yes, the movies were lame. Bleach.

I'm reading "Killing time" by Caleb Carr... good book :)

I'm halfway through Digital Fortress by Dan Brown and numerous other books which I'm not bothered about.

Edited because I looked back and noticed a bit of a dicussion on Dan Brown books (And also because it seemed to be annoying Rob...) I absolutely loved The DaVinci Code and was enthralled by it the entire way through. I'm equally intruiged by Digital Fortress to see how it turns out. I haven't got round to Angels And Demons yet but it's next on my list.

Must admit after reading the DaVinci Code I had an urge to watch the Lion King to find out if what was said in the book was true!

What did he say about the Lion King??
I only remember him saying that Ariel from the Little Mermaid was a representation of Mary Magdelene.

I'm reading Shadow Baby by Alison McGhee and Man Walks Into A Room by Nicole Krauss.

Anyone else read these two?

Apparently the dust particles above Simba's head at one point spell sex. I'm just intruiged to see if it's real or not! Lol. I am more interested to know who actually sat and watched the Lion King enough times to notice that!

Also, simply because I can and I love this little guy: :yahoo:

Oh, and I have to make an ammendment to what I said I was reading. It's not Digital Fortress I'm reading it's Deception Point.
