Rian looked blank. He had been sure that Spencer's insanity was inherited, and that worried him, somewhat. Especially with the whole inbreeding thing; he at least felt comforted that it wouldn't happen with him. Not in this universe.

Spencer backed up against the wall, holding his hands out. "Woah, just wait a minute. What if I swore on my sainted granny's grave not to tell anyone about you and um, Charmaine?"

"Not good enough," snarled Rian. "How do I know you won't tell Destiny? That's why you're dying. No more talk now." He threw a stream of blue fire at Spencer, reducing him to fine ash.

Nyx opened the front door and walked onto the sidewalk, crossing her arms and glaring at the back door of the garbage truck; she'd told him not to badger her. The vehicle parked haphazardly on the curb, and a rather slight, pale human woman climbed out of the driver's seat, making Nyx blink and shake her head in disbelief. "Mom!?!"

"When the situation calls for it." A bright, red, incredibly gruff looking man jumped out of the back of the truck, followed by a motley-shaded-blue man with an odd apparatus resembling an aqualung around his neck. The red man looked a lot like Nyx; same tail, trench coat, and horn stumps.

"... Hi, Daddy." Nyx sighed, and looked over at Diego. "Get over here, I saw you warp the truck."

Rian leaned down and picked the board up. He handed it to Destiny. "I don't believe you can. I know he hates me."

The screen flickered.

It showed a much younger Spencer with Destiny, Tru and Rian, though it was only possible to tell the two girls apart from the different-coloured bows they wore. He was thinking of names.
"Right... I've got Tru and Destiny... Oh, son, why couldn't you have been a girl?" Spencer did a dramatic sigh, then smiled and patted his son on the head, "Nevermind. I know an even better name for you."
He picked up the baby Rian, cuddling him happily. He took him to his study and pulled out a thick book from his bookcase. Spencer settled into a chair happily.
"Know what this is? It's your daddy's favourite book ever in the whole world. It's all about a prince who despite being mean and sulky saves his world from being destroyed and even when he's bad he turns out good. You know what his name is? It's Rian, and that's what I'm going to call you, okay? You like that name?"
BabyRian nodded, smiling sleepily. Spencer smiled too, "I knew you'd like that name." he played with the baby's hair for a moment, "You're my best boy, Rian, you know that? My best boy, and your daddy will always love you, no matter what."
He gave babyRian a kiss on the forehead, "Now, let's so tell your sisters so they can be jealous of your wonderful new name."
The baby cheered.

A second scene began to play on the ouija board screen.

This had obviously happened recently; it showed Spencer talking to Destiny, obviously in reply to something she'd just said. "I didn't mean to say all those things to Rian; I just wish he'd stop throwing back in my face the whole insanity thing all the time." He looked lost and deeply upset. "I don't even know how he feels; he probably hates me."

"I'm sure he doesn't hate you," said Destiny, patting Spencer's back.

"I just get so upset when he does that. I know what I did, and I tried to make up for it, but what's the point when he just doesn't accept that?"

Every minute of waiting was agony. But Rian didn't quite dare to go back downstairs without at least trying. "Dad?" he said, trying out the word. He hadn't called Spencer that for some time, believing that his father hated him meant that he couldn't bear to call him that. But he still inteded to call Jack Dad too; he hoped Spencer would understand. If not, he was going to go back downstairs and get stuck into the vodka again, and to hell with Destiny.

He's the one who infected Seth from what I heard." She tapped her nose. "You didn't hear this from me, but once you're infected with that virus, the only kids you have are Diclonii, and more often than not, they're female. There's only two known ones. Well, two known to EcoBio anyway."

Chaos lay on the cold floor for a few minutes as he collected his wits. He knew where he was now; back in EcoBioTech. After all, he'd spent nearly the whole of his life patrolling the lab and its environs. However, he had no intention of ending up being remade as the mindless guard creature; he decided to play act as if the bug was still there, so that no-one would try and replace it.

Diego went inside, and to the computer. For a change, Matt was not on it, so Diego sat down in front of it and started to search for his mother, using just a little of his power to affect the search. Cuz the basis of it was being able to make the impossible, possible, he soon found her, as well as where she lived.

Diego had caught a train and gotten off in his mother's neighbourhood. He looked disgusted; it was a suburb of picket fences and neat front gardens, a world away from the house in Carcer and the surrounding houses. He looked at the piece of printout with his mother's address and started to walk down the road looking for Acacia Avenue, which was where she lived. Soon, he found it, and after a few minutes, number 11. He considered breaking in, but decided to knock first. Diego knocked once, then waited.

It showed what seemed to be Destiny and David talking, only this David looked subtly different. They were also arguing rather than talking. "All I'm trying to say, is that you're talking complete and utter crap," Destiny said, rolling her eyes. "You're standing there like a w@nker and telling me that my brother's now a shapeshifter, and that vampires are real, despite the fact that that's all a load of bo'llocks." David had an uptight look on his face; he turned to Destiny. "I'll prove it to you," he said, before changing into a lion. Destiny screamed loudly.

A local entrenprener had announced his intention of cleaning up Infectia once and for all. Even the few people who read the article weren't too impressed; most simply thought him mad.

Her clones survive, yes, but none of them have the T-Veronica virus in them. While I do, it's dormant because of the medicine Dee made for me and I don't have outbursts like I used to have." She bit one of her nails. "The original Alexia's remains were found by my dad's clone and brought here to be locked somewhere in Infectia. I never found out where, but if she gets out I don't know what will happen. She was supposed to have been pretty much liquified by the weapon she was killed with when she fully mutated, but she's still alive. You can't just kill something like that with a stupid laser plasma gun."
