The Order of the Dragon Knights Chapter VI - The Return of the Dragon Knight Greetings, souls of the After World (Soul Society). You are now entering the domains of the Order of the Dragon Knights. If you don't know who the Dragon Knights are, then I will tell you. The Dragon Knights are a group of Death Gods with the mission to balance the flow of souls between the Real World and the After World. The Dragon Knights were created by a powerfull angelic race called Angeli, now completely extinct in the Real World. The First Order of the Dragon Knights was composed only of Angeli, but they were destroyed and forgotten for several years, until one of the last Angeli remaining in the Real World decided to rebuild the Order. He started the II Order of the Dragon Knights, composed of any kind of living or spiritual being that wanted to join. The Dragon Knights were becoming more and more powerful, but now they are gone again, this time for unknown reasons. All that is known is that the Headquarters of the Dragon Knights was removed from Earth and it is said that the Dragon Knights moved themselves to the After World (Soul Society). Nowadays, no one know about the fate of the Dragon Knights. But the truth is that the Emperor of the Angeli, Minnor Cander the Golden, ordered a group of Angeli to rebuild the Order of the Dragon Knights, this time in the After World (Soul Society), exactly in the location where the city of the first Dragon Knights lay long time ago. This time, the Dragon Knights will live in the After World (Soul Society) only, which means that only souls can become Dragon Knights now. You may ask: if only the dead can become Death Gods, then why can'y the Angeli that died? And I say, because when you die in the After World (Soul Society), you leave your existence and can never go back. Some Angeli that aren't dead cannot leave the world where they are supposed to live. Now, let me explain everything I can about the current Order of the Dragon Knights... The Beginning Spoiler: click to toggle The Dragon Knights The Order of the Dragon Knights is an organization composed of spiritual beings with the power of Death Gods, usually called Soul Reapers. Their bodies are composed of ectoplasm, which mimics normal human anatomy. Soul Reapers can only be seen by other spiritually aware entities, which excludes most humans, but otherwise are solid entities capable of influencing their environment. Additionally, they can be injured and die like regular humans, though it takes considerably greater injuries for the latter to occur than it would in regular humans. A Soul Reaper's duties include leading ghosts to Soul Society (the After World) in a practice called soul burial, and the cleansing of hollows (evil spirits). All Soul Reapers possess a zanpakutou (literally soul-cutting sword or soul slayer), a physical manifestation of their soul that takes the form of a regular sword. By learning the name of the sword's spirit and learning to work with it in battle, Soul Reapers can unlock more powerful forms of their zanpakutou. The first form, known as shikai (initial release), changes the swords appearance to better facilitate its special abilities. The second form, known as bankai (final release), can only normally be achieved when a Soul Reaper trains with their zanpakutou for decades. Once achieved the Soul Reaper can unlock their zanpakutou's full potential, increasing their power several times over. The Soul Reapers have four combat styles: Zanjutsu (Swords): The most commom of the four combat forms, where the Soul Reapers use their zanpakutous. The Shikai and Bankai are included in this combat style. Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image Hakuda (hand-to-hand):The Soul Reapers also use their hands in the combat, using techniques that are even capable to stop zanpakutou attacks. Posted Image Hohou (feet combat): This combat style is where the Soul Reaper use the speed to aid in his battle. The Shunpo (Lightning Steps), where the Soul Reaper travel a large distance with few steps, is the only technique of this category. Posted ImagePosted Image Kidou (demon arts): The Kidou are combat and healing techniques used by Soul Reapers, divided in two categories: Hadou (destructive spells) and Bakudou (binding spells). With the exception of healing, which requires no incantation or even a name to perform, kidou spells consist of four distinct steps: reciting the incantation of the spell (which is usually long-winded), its category (binding or destructive), its number, and finally its name. The number of a spell determines the difficulty of casting it correctly and effectively (#1 is simple to cast, #99 is incredibly difficult). With sufficient training, the first step can be bypassed, allowing spells to be used in combat quickly, known as incantation bypass. Doing so, however, may lessen the spell's effect, the degree of which is dependent upon the skill of the caster. Bypassing the incantation is also more difficult for higher-numbered spells, as casting them is already fairly difficult even with the full verbal component. The power of kidou spells varies on the skill of the user; even a low-level kidou spell can be utterly devastating when utilized by a sufficiently powerful user. Here is the list of the known kidous: Spoiler: click to toggle The Dragon Knight Headquarters Posted Image Somewhere in the Soul Society (After World), located in the middle of large plains, rises a high hill with a plain and horizontal top. On the top lies a fairly big castle. This castle is the home of the current Order of the Dragon Knights. It is protected by several strong kidous, including the Bakudous number 39 and number 81 and the Mirror Door. In addition, forbidden kidous like the Spatial Displacement and Temporal Stasis are activated there. In other words, it is almost impossible to break into the castle, due to its surrounding sphere/bubble of protecting reiatsu (spiritual energy). The castle has three floors and several towers. The Great Hall, the kitchen, the library and the Hospital Wing are located in the first floor. The Great Room, the classrooms and the offices are located in the second floor. The restrooms are located in the third floor. The towers contain the main Science Laboratories. In the middle of the castle lies a large yard with several training arenas. Now, Vuukkie had waited for some time - not sure whether he should wait for this not-so-friendly Knight to reply. Whilst what seemed like an hour of Vuukkie-time passed, he decided (smartly so) that he may as well not wait for Alex to reply. He therefore began to make his way, taking his time as he still thought that 'nothing' was the main subject of their current agenda. When he finally reached to where Anatolius was - he was in for a big surprise. He had been too absorbed in his own mess of a mind to actually bother regularly scanning the grounds for any significant reiatsu, he had therefore missed Kyle's. As he stepped through the door, immediately, his eyes fell on Kyle - a quick scan of the area around the older man told him that he had failed. Somewhere, deep inside him, he was glad - there was now some purpose to his dead life. Outside, he was all 'oh no! What ever shall we do now?" He was about to pose just the question when his eyes caught sight of another figure standing to the side, upon turning, he saw someone he had never seen before. And due to his lack of ability to retain masses of description or images, he could not see any resemblence to people he may or may not know. He did know, though, that this person was not an enemy - he did not radiate enough spirit energy to be anything bad. Also, he was not exactly doing anything that would classify him as bad. Eyes clearly on their way out of his skull, he spoke - as ever outspoken and fast. The words he said were directed to three different people at random times during his speech. It was up to the audience to work out what was meant for who. He did not exactly look at the people - his eyes simply swivelled round to his 'victim' per se. "Who're you and why are you here? What happened? Are they safe? Or are they still there? What do we do now? Should I go try to re-locate everyone again? Who gets to go? Did you see Ariene?" In all of his questions, the last one simply slipped out - he was no longer thinking, simply saying what came to his mind. As soon as he said it, he clenched his mouth close. Silently, he shook his head as his eyes finally came to rest on the ground. It was still to fresh in his mind to talk about the loss of his co-seat and friend. Little did he know that his stupidity would cause a bit of a problem with the new guy. His hands were now deep in his pockets, his hood thankfully covering his beetroot red ears. |

Alois' eyes threatened to roll, but he knew such an act would result in Cecania 'playing' with him more, and he didn't feel like it right then. After glancing down at the scraps of black material on the ground and then back at Cecania meaningfully, he turned to Ariene and said "Well, if you don't wish to talk, then maybe you'd like to come with me. You might find this, 'interesting'." After saying that Alois turned and left the room, idly wondering if Ariene would follow him. Once out in a side hallway, he took a right turn into a stairwell, and headed downstairs. As he traveled, the light dimmed, and eventually the only source of light came from several globes on the wall, all emitting small amounts of light. Even so, everything would be indistinct to a normal person's sight, and even Alois had some difficulty seeing down here. It also made navigating this area extremely difficult. After several turns, and going through three doors Alois stopped in front of a plain wooden door. Nothing about it identified it as different than any of the other countless doors in this unlit hallway, at least until you touched it. The instant that Alois put his hand on the doorknob he felt an intense spiritual pressure, but didn't react. He had been the one to design this door, and unless a person who was 'known' to it opened it, it would react in a painful and deadly fashion. In fact, the walls around it had had to be replaced more than once due to some unfortunate touching the door by mistake. Alois opened the door and strode through. The door would shut itself, but slowly enough that if anyone following behind him could get in. Passing through the doorway would let a person sense some of the power contained with the door, but not all. Inside the room the only source of light came from a globe light in the ceiling, but unlike the ones outside this one blazed with a brilliant radiance. It shined directly downward on a figure tied to a chair, and from their appearance it looked like they had been there a while. Various stains showed on the ground, wall, ceiling, and of course all over the chair, its' occupant and their clothes. Despite the light's brilliance only the figure tied to the chair was visible. Beyond six inches from the figure darkness ruled, revealing very little. Alois himself needed a moment to let his eyes adjust so that he could see the other four people in the room. All four of them were Neil's minions, and each of them was an arrancar. They stared at Alois impassively, although when he turned his gaze to the apparent leader of them the arrancar flinched and looked away. Alois glanced at one after another, until each of them was pointedly looking anywhere but Alois. The silence stretched on for a moment until Alois finally asked "Shall I even bother asking where Neil is, or should I just kill you all now?" Alois sighed, and then turned his attention to the figure in the chair. Small whimpering sounds came from the figure, and they increased when Alois reached down and pulled the person's face upward to look at him. Tears streamed down the young man's face, and a crazed look graced his face. Another thing of note was that one half of his face was covered in a white semi-liquid substance. Alois recognized it as the beginning stages of hollofication, and wondered whether or not Neil had gotten what was needed yet. A moment later the sound of the door opening caught Alois' attention, and before he could say anything he heard "He knew very little, but he was more than willing to reveal it, once I applied the proper pressure. Course, it did leave him like that, so it wasn't without cost." Alois turned to look at Neil and asked "How soon?" Neil glanced at the man in the chair and said "Half a day, maybe less." Alois grimaced and then said "Well, at least you'll have a new 'pet' to play with." Ehren leaned against the wall as he finally decided to give up. He had searched the castle top to bottom and Andy was nowhere to be found. Even when he had searched for his presence, he had come up with nothing. The reappearance of Kyle's spirit energy had shocked him for a second, and with May's and Shauna's still missing he feared the worse. So, since looking for Andy was pointless now, he rushed back to the main hall, and stopped dead when he spotted the pool of blood. He sucked in a quick breath in shock, and then quickly scanned the room for his master. When he spotted Kyle by Anatolius, he rushed over and asked "What happened, where are -" He cut off as Kyle raised his hand and said "Stop. a meeting is being called, and I'll fill you and the other questioning soul in on everything there. Now" Kyle then leaned in close and whispered "pull yourself together." Ehren nodded slightly, and then glanced around the room, his eyes echoing the pain he was in right now. On the one hand he wanted to go off and safe his mother and his... friend... Shauna, but on the other he knew he was no match for what awaited him there. He was still unsure when he heard Kyle say "And as for you Anatolius, if you even consider going after them right now I will pick up the nearest heavy object and beat you senseless with it. And since that object happens to be Ehren I'd suggest you not do anything foolish." |

Jaret was too suprised by this new lightning-talker to do much of anything but stand and stare as he was chattered at. He couldn't even reply for a solid minutte; it took him that amount of time to decipher what the hooded teenager had chunnered and then figure out which questions had been directed at him. You know, Oberon said lazily, if I was the one in charge of the body right now, I don't think we'd be having this problem. Jaret sent a rude noise at his brain-mate. Oh yes, they'd all be lying dead on the floor and you'd have gotten your information ages ago. I know, I know. Precisely. He sounded immensely pleased with himself, although for what exactly, the in-control personality couldn't tell. Aloud, Jaret did his best to answer the questions he thought had been shot in his direction. His face had hardened slightly, eyes going flat and questioning. "My name is Jaret Corbenic," he replied pleasantly enough, conviently leaving Oberon out of his introduction, "And I'm here top check in on my sister." His gaze flickered to Kyle and Anatolius, and when he spoke again, his tone was less cheery and pleasant. "Ah yes, Ariene. I think I'm as interested in the answer to that question as this young man here-" he gestured towards Vuukkie with a nod of his head "-and I have neither the time nor the patience nor the brotherly regard to wait for your 'meeing'." Jaret wasn't a threatening person; he was neither muscular enough nor tall enough to be truly imposing, but there was an air around him that was dangerous. Had he more spirit energy, it would have risen in pressure and power, but that was not the case now. Instead, he made do with a quiet voice and a powerful stare, both of which had served him well in the past. They were not really meant to be bullying, but they were an indicator of the length of thte fuse of his temper, which was shortening by the second. If this D Knight was wondering where his sister was, then they weren't certain of her location, were they? Even Oberon had thte good sense to not interrupt the silence in his head, although his stare have added weight to Jaret's. "Talking wouldn't have gotten me anywhere except at the bottom of a very deep hole," Ariene muttered as she trailed after Alois, "and cecania would have been the one standing on level ground, dangling a rope two feet over my outstretched hands." Their brief trip through the painfully dim light was, thankfully, not too long, and they eventually reached a place that Ariene had expected to be in the castle, but not something shown to her: a torture chamber. Well, maybe chamber was too strong a word, but it was a place designed for torture of a prisoner, that much was cetain. Ariene spent a few minutes looking at the floor, the ceiling hidden in darkness, the walls - anything to avoid staring at the young man in the chair. The former D Knight could deal with deaths on the battlefield; she'd seen people be shot, blown up, stabbed and even decapitated. But this turned her stomach. Seeing someone tied helplessly to a chair, unable to do anything by comply and die, was somehow worse than watching people die in action in any multitude of ways. Ariene swallowed and glanced between the prisoner and Alois. "He's turning into a Hollow?" she asked flatly, already aware of the answer. "Thanks to him, I would guess." She jerked her chin towards Neil, indicating the 'him' she was talking about. There was no hint of disgust or terror or pain in her voice, although there was pity in her eyes; she just sounded bored, although the tone of interest in her voice was genuine. If Neil had the ability to call out a person's inner Hollow, it was worth knowing. |

Kyle sighed as he turned to Jaret and said "Patience is a virtue boy, and don't think I won't use my grandson to beat you down. He has his moments of thick headedness, and its very useful when I'm using said head to bash things." While Kyle said this Ehren was staring at his master with an incredulous look. Kyle then continued with "I have no idea where this Ariene girl is. Last I knew she was here with all of you." Kyle then stared pointedly at Jaret and asked "Maybe you should fill me in." Alois glanced at Ariene and said "Oh yes, Neil does have the ability to do that. along with a few others that are just as amusing. This is the second person he has done this to within the past two hours. Its surprising how easy they broke. Something about becoming what you despise drives them quickly to the point of desperation, and then they tell us everything we want to know." Alois didn't mention how most of the infomation was either worthless, or a complete fabrication. Under this kind of duress people would say anything that came to mind, just to end the pain. However, the person in front of them was not the person they were going to be taking information from. It was the five others who were locked in a cell next door that would be talking, especially after hearing the screams of agony. Alois had debated letting them watch, and then had decided that letting their imaginations run rampant would be more effective. Alois watched as Neil placed his right hand on the face of the captive, and then said "You may want to avert your eyes Ariene. this won't be pretty." Alois didn't really care whether Ariene watched or not, but he'd prefer her not to vomit anywhere near him. It had happened before, during this process. As Alois watched, Neil's hand seemed to pulsate with a dark energy, and as soon as it started too the screams increased in strength and pitch. The man's body convulsed as the white goop spread across his face, and began pouring out of his mouth, ears, and eyes. the screams began to become distorted, but no one would be able to think it was anything other than a scream of a man in his death agonies. His body continued to convulse, and at one point the bindings holding his arms snapped, and the man attempted to claw at Neil, in order to get his hand away. Neil chuckled and said "Don't bother. It won't do anything except prolong the process. You're too far gone for anyone to help you now." As Neil said this the man's convulsions seemed to become even worse, and then something new began to happen. With the sound of canvas tearing, the man's body seemed to burst apart. Bits and pieces of things that were better left unsaid flew by them, being converted into random spirit particles as they flew by. In the place of the man was a white skinned creature, that looked almost humanoid, except for the horns and the fact that its fingers looked like they could slice through titanium like it was warm butter. Neil took a step back and said "Only a few seconds left till we're finished." As he said this the creature turned to look at Alois and Ariene, and for a brief second the face of the former warrior appeared, distorted by an unbelievable agony and madness. The next instant a hollow mask solidified over the face, now leaving only a white mask with a blue stripe running down the center visible. Alois looked at the creature and said "Have fun with him Neil. Hopefully you train him better than your last 'pet'." After saying that Alois turned towards Ariene and asked "So, anything else you would like to see?" |

Anatolius turned as Vuukkie walked into the room and started to ask question directed at almost everyone in the room. He froze at the last question, his eyes flickering to Jaret and then back to Vuukkie and finally Ehren as he walked in. Kyle handled Ehren and spoke up to Jaret's concern. Jaret. This was going to be interesting. A meeting has been called for the Dragon Knights of the current order. Anatolius' voice was calm and firm, ignoring the threat form both Jaret and Kyle. Until we have everyone here, we will not be going over anything, unless it is a matter of security that needs to be handled now. His eyes scanned the people there as he continued to speak. Right now, we need to get the Order together and go over what happened. Considering I called a meeting a while ago and the only person who showed is the only person on the grounds who has yet to be a Dragon Knight, I take it most of you all didn't get the message that we are going to have to have a meeting to go over everything that had happened. So, if someone could get the remainder of the Dragon Knights here, that would be quite helpful. At this point, it was obvious Anatolius was at the end of his rope. He had a long rope to begin with and it was rare to see him towards the end of it. With everything that had happened in the past few days, it could only be expected. Right now they needed to make sure everything was set and going off the fact that Jaret was still on the grounds, he knew at least the security was down. |

Vuukkie's eyes remained fixed on that very interesting natural crack in the floor as he listened to Ehren enter and speak to Kyle. He was silently thinking of what needed to be done - and, unfortunately, the list was quite long all of a sudden. It was upsetting that they had relied so much on Kyle coming back with the two they had lost. He inwardly told himself off for not coming up with an alternative plan - the longer they discussed - the smaller the chances of seeing Shauna and May in a normal state again. When Jaret spoke, he was jolted back into reality. What he heard he did not like - his last words had been the most stupid four words he had ever let pass through his lips. His eyes were now directed at the newcomer; holding far too many emotins for anyone to discern one. He did not really know what to say - Ariene's brother was here looking for her. And she was no longer one of them. Jaret's reaction to the information - if ever told - was nothing that Vuukkie wanted to imagine. He could not see anyone taking her change of allegiance lightly. He was only imagining what he felt at her betrayal. For once, he could not empathise, his own feelings were too great for it. His eyes moved then to Kyle and then to Anatolius, taking in all the information that had been given out by the two. It was only natural that he should speak now, turning first to Jaret; trying to convince himself of what he told the man. He then turned to where the others were, though really addressing Anatolius. He seemed to have forgotten about his injuries in light of the other Knights' . "I'm Vuukkie, and I can assure you that all your questions will be answered as fast as possible. I've notified Alex, when or if he ever comes is up to him. That's really all we can gather - I guess Tatum knows. Don't know what ever happened to Nox and Rukio - my guess is that they left. So, we're basically all here. My vote is to discuss now. We spend far too much time getting ready to discuss and far too little is ever done. Oh and I'll go." |

Jaret rolled his eyes. This old D Knight really did think that he was in charge of everything, didn't he? Well, that was a sad misconception. But he let Anatolius take control of the situation without complaint, although his eyes were still angry. Looks like your chances of finding your sister are slowly decreasing, Oberon observed. Think we could get a stopwatch and find their exact velocity? Might be a fun project. Jaret shook his head and refolded his arms. Not now, Oberon. Even his mental voice was tight. Oberon sniffed. Fine, then; no levity it is. But how about that old man? You think he's bitter over not being able to give orders when he was younger or something? That might be why he's so bossy now. Jaret raised an eyebrow, backing towards his former place on the wall, where his backpack still rested innocuously. I'm sure he'd be willing to tell you that, Mr Freud, if you asked him. Maybe I will, The weaker of the two personalities sounded pleased. Before we leave, I think. These D Knights seemed to take their time about going through their meeting. It wasn't a trait that either Jaret or Oberon really appreciated at the moment, although they were willing to sit and wait for their questions and concerns to be addressed. Ariene was a lot more shaken by the whole thing than she was willing to admit. Watching someine be tied to a chair was one thing, but watching their inner Hollow being forcibly to the surface was a whole different ballgame. She didn't take his suggestion about averting her eyes, forcing herself to watch the transformation from start to finish. Her breath was close to ragged as she dragged air into her lungs and she clenched her teeth so hard that her head hurt and her ears rang steadily. By the time the man had become the horned and clawed Hollow crouching on the floor, Ariene's hands were shaking and she wanted to do nothing so much as punch Neil where it would hurt. But she couldn't do that. that particular act would avail her nothing, it would show a weakness she wanted to avoid making public, and it would probably ruin her chances of being able to join the Arrancars. "Nothing I'd like to see," Ariene replied, her voice hoarse and shaking almost as badly as her hands, "but there're things I'd like to not have seen at all." Her blue eyes had fixed on the points where the man-turned-hollow's had been before the final solidification of his mask and did not move. There was some combination of interest and pity in her gaze, as well as something darker that flickered there for a second or two. Without looking away, Ariene spoke to Alois again. "Is this the standard way of making a Hollow, or are there other ways to call a person's inner Hollow to the surface?" This wasn't quite the answer to his question, although it sort of worked. Rather than being taken on a tour of the sights (and she doubted that there could be many in a place like this), she wanted to know more than what was on the surface of the transformation. Ehren closed his eyes for a moment to allow himself time to think. He mentally went through everything that had happened in the past few hours, and then began sorting things out. Things went into category A, things he could fix, category B, things out of his control, and category C, things he was going to get into his control if he had to set fire to an entire continent. After getting his head back on track he opened his eyes, and had a determined look in them. Ehren turned towards Anatolius and said "Thank you for organizing the meeting. We're going to need it to get things back on track. And we need to have it soon. If the rest don't get here soon they'll just have to be filled in later." Ehren wasn't looking at his master, but Kyle was smiling slightly as his former student began taking charge. Alois chuckled and said "No, that is not the only way. It just happens to be Neil's preferred way. he says it makes them more useful to him." Alois then looked Ariene over and tried to gauge how this sight had affected her. She seemed slightly shaken, but then, anyone who saw what she did would be. Alois then asked "What do you want, Ariene? What do you think or hope to find here?" Alois was interested in the answer, and depending on how she answered he would do one of several things he had planned for her. |

Anatolius, glad to see that Ehren was stepping up as the third seat, took a step back both literally and figuratively. He leaned back against the wall and closed his eyes for a second, allowing his thoughts to stop racing. He was way too stressed. Opening his eyes again, he listened to what was said. If everyone knows, I think we should start and let them arrive as they wish. If they miss it, they miss it. Anatolius' voice was much calmer now, less strained. He wasn't the one in charge and didn't have to worry about it anymore. What needed to happen was that they needed to know everyone was alright and what new information, if any, they gathered from the fight. Anatolius himself knew they were up against a force that wasn't about to go away. The fight he had was making him think, possibly too much, which was probably the point of it. As though part of his thought process, his eyes fell on Jaret. They stayed there for a few seconds before going to Ehren. He paused for a moment before looking back at Jaret. Your sister is not here. His voice was blunt, although it was obvious this wasn't something he wanted to talk about. She left a little while ago and I do not believe she had any intention of returning. As far as any of us know, she went off to join the Arrancar. We have no heard from her since she left and I do not think we will. He left the explanation there, not going into the rest of it, although he would if he was asked. He wasn't there the sugar coat it, he wasn't there to make it sound not as bad as it was, he was there to let everyone know what was going on, and that was what he did. |

Ariene nodded as Alois replied to her question, a hardness entering her eyes as she set her jaw. Lovely; someone here preferred to turn people into Hollows as violently and as painfully as possible. Rather than react in fear or disgust, she took those emotions and turned them to her own devices: instead of becoming scared, she became angry; instead of becoming disgusted, she became purposeful. Folding her arms, she shook her head at the newly-created Hollow, forcing the pity out of her gaze. At the Arrancar's sudden question, she glanced at him, one eyebrow raising. "What do I want here?" Ariene repeated, making the question into a sort of scoff. "Maybe you didn't hear when I told you the first time?" It dawned on her that this was not the track to be following with this particular man, and she changed her tone to one of caution instead of one of beligerance. "I want a change from the Dragon Knights. To them, your height means more than your potential and how big you can blow a sphere with your spirit energy means more than what you can do with what you have. I was hoping to find an organization that would allow me to help them and use what I have, rather than berate and belittle me for what I can't control." Ariene's eyes fixed on Alois' with a mixture of coolness and determination. She believed what she was saying, that much was apparent. "If I can't find that here, I'm sure there are other places I could look for." Jaret grimaced at Anatolius' brief, blunt explanation. The expression was more for the fact that now he would have to deliver the news to their great-uncle, and knowing that his student had traipsed off to join the Arrancars on a whim wouldn't exactly make him happy. "Well that answers that," he said flatly, shrugging slightly. "Since there's nothing else I need to know, I think I'll be o-" He stopped in the middle of the sentence, eyes closing and then flashing open again. Something had changed in his expression, from calm and level-headed to bright interest and obstinancy. "If you really want us to leave," Oberon said, now the one in control, "I'm sure we'll be happ to leave. But I think I'd like to offer you our help; it's not something to be taken lightly, and we feel it's needed after you've been so helpful." The last phrase was barely tinged with sarcasm, but it was there. What's with all this 'we' stuff? Jaret demanded. I don't remember ever being consulted on it. That's because you weren't, explained Oberon. You're just being informed. Now. |

The change in Jaret's demeanor didn't surprise Anatolius much as it was bound to for the others. He had been introduced to Oberon before, the others had no idea what was going on. For now Anatolius simply shook his head, looking at the person that had to now be Oberon. For now I think we all need to get on the same page. Anatolius said, voice calm, although it was still obvious he wanted nothing more than to not be where he was for the moment. To do that, the Dragon Knights need to get together and have a meeting. Until we do that, we won't be needing any help. the offer is appreciated though, but unless you can magically make everything that is currently wrong, correct, I don't think you can help us here. Have you ever stopped and wondered if anyone else would perhaps like the help that is being offered to them? Vega was back, no huge surprise there. The malice in her voice was something that had always annoyed Anatolius but now it seemed to just be reassuring. She was still there. If someone disagrees, they are more than welcome to speak up. Anatolius replied, his inner voice much like that of the one hanging in the air for the rest of the room's occupants to reply to. |

Alex walked up[ behind Ehren and shook his head. "I think a track is going to be an awakard sort if we haven't had one thus far." He stretched his arms over his head and shrugged his shoulders innocently. He had been stuck in the library a while and a few books were tucked between his pants and the robes tied around his waist. He had secured the door behind him and fixed the gap below the door that things had seemed to been crawling in and out of. The space was now smaller than the width of a hair. Looking around he noted Anatolious and Ehren and some other faces he had yet to meet. Rubbing the awkward scar on the back of his neck he let his eyes wander a moment. Allowing his hands to slide to his sides he moved to lean against the wall though he made a subtle smile at Kyle before leaning back. |

Wesley watched the guy study. It was rather boring. And he read so slowly! It took him an age to turn each page. Wesley was almost tempted to reveal himself just to relieve the boredom. Of course, he managed to control that impulse. At long last, the boy started to move. Wesley had decided not to try leaving until the boy was finished; after all, he didn't want to draw attention to himself. When the boy did leave though, Wesley moved over to the door and transformed again, this time becoming small enough to go through the keyhole. Now he just had to work out a course of action. He could hear the distant echo of voices. If he followed that, he would surely find some information, hopefully to his benefit. Yet it also increased the risk of capture. Heck, they couldn't keep him the first time, why should he be worried about a second? Besides, they didn't even know he was there. He was there, and camouflaged again, before hardly any time passed at all. Any closed door he came to, he just crawled through the keyhole. Easy as pi. 3.14159265........ |
