Quoting Tutorial

Here is a quick tutorial on how to quote an article that is not written by you
1. Copy the whole article and paste into a new topic window.
2. Determine whether the whole article pertains to the forum in which you are posting it in. If you wish to share the whole article skip steps 3. If not read on.
3. Highlight the section of the article in which you wish to bring attention to the other members. In the Code Buttons click B which stands for Bold.
4. Highlight the whole article and go to the Code Buttons. Click on Quote.
5. Once done with that hit enter twice.
6. Copy the url of the page in which you found the article.
7. Go to the new topic window and click on http:// in Code Buttons.
8. In the window that pops up paste the url of the article in there and click OK.
9. In the next space type in the words Source and press OK.
You have now correctly quoted an article.
Here is an example:

Since Semperance has grown we have taken the time to move the board to a new server that allows many new options... and...since there are many members without posts, we are implementing a new rule. Only members that post can see the entire board. This means:
~ The Welcome Center consists of topics. Take a moment to go into those topics and introduce yourself.
Members who post all over the board are allowing you to get to know them - they'd like to get to know you too.
~ We will know if your primary reason for being here is for the clips. We see all. Plus it's a pretty big indicator that you only are here for them if you have less than 20 posts after being here a few months.
~ Failure to post for 3 months will cause your account to be suspended and the only way to gain access will be to contact the_semperance_team@yahoo.com you will be notified if this action is taken
~ The staff has put a lot of hard work into making this a great place for Bones fans to come and hang out with each other. Yes the board is called Semperance, and yes it is mainly about Seeley and Temperance, but they are a part of a hit Television show and to talk about the rest of the show is okay. In fact it is smiled upon

First let us welcome you to the board. We made this board as a place for individuals like ourselves to express themselves. You will find that here you will be able to not only post your stories and videos but also be able to view those made by people who have the same passion as you.
Along with expressing yourself, you will also find that this will be a place you can come to for inspiration and resources.
We only have a few rules:
1. Pay attention to each forum. They may be moderated by different people and those moderators may have their own rules.
2. By registering to the board, and by using the board, you agree to all of the terms of service (ToS) listed below, and agree that you will comply with any changes made to these terms.
~ You understand that your account may be banned, edited, suspended or even deleted if the administrators and/or staff of the board feel it necessary.
~ You agree to be mature on the board, and to give the full most respect to staff, administrators, and fellow members.
~ You also understand that the administrators of Semperance have given up their time to make this forum, in order to benefit the members of Semperance. With this in mind, you agree not to abuse the forum.
~ When registering you agree to use a valid email address, which can be used to contact you in the future. You may be permanently banned for ignoring this rule.
Prohibited Behaviour
» Plagiarism: Any materials(IE: music videos, fanfics, articles) posted without the permission of the author or proper quoting techniques are prohibited.

» Will not take any criticism personally, but take it as constructive criticism to help you improve.
» Positions Available
If you do not think that you will be able to meet these requirements, please do not apply for a staff position.
Warning System
Each user can have a maximum of 5 warnings.
Warnings are given for offences which breach the Terms of Service.
You can see your own warning level in your profile, or in one of your posts.
5 = Highest level of warning (Banned User group)
When a user signs up, the default warning level is "0".
1 = 12 hours
2 = 72 hours
3 = 1 week
4 = 1 month
5 = forever.
Signature & Avatar Guidelines
» Signature Cannot:
Contain more than 3 Images; Images in signature cannot be larger than 500 X 200 pixels. If your banner is larger than this please down size.
Contain any Negative Comments about other users on the board; Violently flash in any way (Animation Allowed);
Use a font size bigger than 5;
Contain harmful code, which could interrupt the use of the forums; breach any other of the terms of service;
Make the page scroll, horizontally or vertically;
link to any inappropriate websites (such as pornography, hacking or illegal etc).
» Avatar Cannot: Violently flash in any way (Animation Allowed); Be any bigger than 100x100 pixels; Breach any other Term of Service
