credit: joystiq.com In an interview yesterday, Microsoft VP Peter Moore had this to say regarding the PS3's $500-$600 price tag: "Tell me why you would buy a $600 PS3. People are going to buy two (machines.) They're going to buy an Xbox and they're going to buy a Wii... for the price of one PS3." Can Nintendo and Microsoft fanboys join in the fight against Sony's high console market share? And it would be interesting to see if Nintendo shares the same co-op sentiment. But as for Microsoft, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." |

Lol at Peter Moore trying to put down the PS3. The reason why it costs more is because it would piss all over Microsoft and Nintendo. I can't wait to see that happen.

PS3 is gonna suck. There are no good games for it except the same old ones. It can't do anymore then the 360 can except a few games in 1080p instead of just 1080i. Sony bombed their press conference it sucked. I'm getting a 360, Windows Vista with DX10, and a Wii. Tons of games for those I want to get. Microsoft is going to be the market leader this generation because they have both Xbox and Windows as supported gaming systems. HDDVD is coming ot the Xbox who cares about bluray. Live for the PC, mobile phones, and 360 will stomp over the PS3 online mode. The sony press conference sucked and the PS3 isn't impressive at all and they didn't really show any cool games I have to have. While on the 360 there are a ton of games that just changed my mind about the system. I'm talking Gears of War, Mass Effect, and Too Human plus many good games. PS3 is just going to be a living room trojan horse they should just leave the main gaming components in it rather then a living room media outlet.

Because of what they showed and how they are marketing it. I don't really want a bluray player when the format war is still going on. I would rather sony use their systems power to get games to look amazing at 720p rather then kinda average at 1080p. Their live mode has no killer app for it like Halo is for live. Sony software is too buggy in general. Have you ever tried to use a Sony PC application? Their software is the worst ever. Microsoft has it down. All the games they shows are either boring crap like GT 4 running at a higher res or prerendered garbadge. I guess sucks isn't the right word to use. But really right now I think Microsoft and Nintendo are 1uping Sony. Microsoft because of their live mode, being out right now, and price point. I'm not rich enough to pay $600 to play Gran Turismo for the 5th time. GTA isn't exclusive anymore so I woudn't buy it for that plus the 360 will have more episodic GTA content. For Metal Gear Solid 4 and a few other games that would be my only reason to get a PS3 if the price goes way down. Sony ripped off Nintendo at the last minute and they took out dual shock rumbling. Sony isn't pushing gaming they are pushing 1080p and bluray. What I really am meaning to say is as of right now and what has been shown it looks sucky. But time will tell. |

I don't get all deep, AoB. I just buy a console I like, buy the games I like, and play the console. I don't really care for application software. If I like the game I'll play it. Alot of people I know regret buying the original X-Box as they get all dusty and break down. When the 360 launched alot of people had problems with faulty systems. Just like the original X-Box. All they got is Halo. And even that sucks (in my opinion).
