credit: [H]ard Forum/IGN.com It's always nice to hear about a game that doesn't have a lot of buzz yet but has some good ideas. The Revolution seems to be attracting developers who want to make quirky or otherwise odd sounding games. Case in point: Sadness. For some reason just the name gets me excited; it's not what you're used to hearing. The game is going to be set before the first World War and will be (this is the kicker) primarily in black and white. Has this ever been done in a game before? It's great that the Revolution is jumpstarting some creativity and risky decisions on what developers can try. The developer, NIBRIS, is a Polish house that seems drawn to the Nintendo systems. Their first game, Raid Over the River, is going to be a DS title. |

How did they pull it off to make it black and white? That sounds like thats amazing but I guess it was basic programming. Looks like its going to be a smash hit.

Revolution will definatly have the most original games. I think black and white though would just hurt my eyes. Advanced 3D and maybe even special effects in black and white would be wierd. However a stylished Sin City like one would be interesting.

It would be helpful. Color inside a game would sound better but the black and white idea only fits with the environment. Youve got to see what fits in order to see how the game flows. Black and White is a cool idea though. |

I just LOVE Orlando Bloom

I think I like the idea of Black and White coloring. Anymore developers spend more time on graphics and pretty colors then they do on gameplay, which equals a crappy game. So with less effort put on coloration of everything maybe somebody will make a decent game.

I do agree with that. The "Spectacular" graphics that the developers have been putting all their effort into seems to make something more like a "Crappy game" and by standards to what you said. |
