This is something that happened to me today, I don't know how spooky people will take it, but I guarantee that it is 100% true.

I went up to my mother's grave today, she is buried in Kensal Green Cemetary which is about 2 miles away from where I live.

I hadn't been up there since before Christmas; I had bought some flowers to put on, I was planning on getting rid of anything that was dead and ensuring that everything was clean and tidy for the New Year.

Anyway, I brought my mum's two dogs with me. Since her death in May I have had these two living with me. This was the first time they had been to the graveyard though, as you walk in there is a big sign that says "NO DOGS" so I hadn't brought them up before because I though we would get turned away by the staff but I figured that as it was New Year's Eve the staff would be pretty thin on the ground so we would be able to get in and out without anyone noticing.

Anyway, when we went in the dogs were just running all over the place playing with each otherm but when we got near my mum's grave they both seemed to know. They ran ahead of me, and were both waiting at my mum's grave for me. Once I had laid the flowers, they got bored and ran off.

Now, how the hell did they know which grave was which? In fact, how the hell did they even understand that my mum was buried there?

it just seemed so bizarre to be that I though I would share it. The only thing i could think of is that maybe they could somehow smell my mother but that just seems really unlikely to me.

Has anyone else experienced something like that with their dog, or maybe another animal?

Hmm. Maybe your mother was there. At her grave in sprit/soul. Waiting for you and your dogs. I would say that is the most likely scenario.

There may be some truth in this. Some believe that dogs are more sensitive to the paranormal than humans are.

Interesting Read There, Joe. I Would Say If Your Dogs Knew Your Mom, Then Techinally They Would Probably Still Know The Scent Even Though Your Mom Was Passed Away.

I believe you here man. It's a fact that animals know & sense things that people can not. Read other stories and have seen it myself.....

I thought of the scent thing myself but then I remember that the smell of each of us is caused by our sweat and skin. My mother has been dead since May so I doubt she would have been sweating that much lately.

I'm not someone who believes in ghosts and stuff, but I am quite baffled by this one.

Thanks for sharing the story.

Dogs seem to sense feelings and situations that humans are not capable of in daily life.

What breed are the dogs?
