The always amusing Eugene Levy - starring in next month's "American Pie : Band Camp", rush now! - waxed lyrical with USA Today about his next project. The film, "For Your Consideration", from director Christopher Guest, will co-star Jim Piddock and Harry Shearer. Sounds like it could be a wine-bottle sized corker. Now, here's the biggest question on my mind: What can you reveal about For Your Consideration, your next Christopher Guest movie? Seriously, tell me everything you can. The movie's about a bunch of people working both in front of and behind the cameras on a small, low-budget independent movie. And it's kind of what happens when the "Oscar" word is dropped in conversation relating to one of the actor's performances in that little movie. ... You can't get the seed out of your head, and the seed always grows in your head even though you don't necessarily want it to grow. I got a little taste of it myself a couple years ago with A Mighty Wind, where your name starts appearing on somebody's top 10 list of supporting actors or something, and you're amazed that your name is on the list. And then you think, "Well, what were they on?" And then you hear you're on somebody else's list, and you go, "All right, this is enough already." But you can't honestly shake it. How weird would it be if that movie won an Oscar? Well, now we're getting into the Rod Serling territory. I think the oddest thing about this movie is how excited the studio is about possible promotion ideas. (If we won), then the joke would kind of be on us, wouldn't it?
