PHILADELPHIA (Zap2it.com) When we last left our intrepid band of "Big Brother 6" inmates, James got the boot, Howie won Head of Household and, since it's a Double Elimination week, had to immediately make his picks for eviction: the dynamic duo of Ivette and Beau.![]() Now Julie Chen is back on hand and a vision in black-and-white as she oversees the proceedings of the evening: a Golden Power of Veto Compet*tion, the Veto Ceremony, tonight's eviction and the next Head of Household Challenge. It's a full docket, so let's roll. Speaking of rolling, Ivette can't stop kvetching about losing the HOH compet*tion this week, which involved bowling balls. Apparently, she fancies herself a master of the lanes and can't understand her poor performance on Thursday. "It's almost like it was meant for me to get [Head of Household]," she whines. Or not, since she's the only one in the house who's never won HOH. Meanwhile, Maggie is caught between the moon and New York City as she struggles to decide where her loyalties lie in the ever-shrinking Friendship. Will she support April, her new pal, confidante and partner? Or will it be Ivette, who approaches her to play in the Veto Compet*tion with the understanding that if Maggie wins, she'll use the Veto on Ivette, presumably leaving HOH Howie to nominate April in her place. Speaking of Howie, what's awaiting him in his HOH bedroom? Two words: light sabers. No comment. The houseguests wait around to start the Veto Compet*tion when a mass of hair extensions attached to fishnets blows into the house. Who the hell is that? Oh, it's Holly, from "BB5." In a revealing outfit and with a voice akin to nails on a chalkboard, she leads the houseguests to the backyard to play craps, "BB6"-style. The houseguests have to bet, roll the die and answer a series of questions read by Holly. After seven excruciating minutes and not one, not two, but three tiebreakers, all of the houseguests' ears are bleeding and Maggie wins the Veto. This guards her against potential backdooring, but puts her in the position of having to play the bad cop James imagined her to be: she's got to choose between Ivette and April and thereby bust up the Friendship. Maggie wants to pick Howie's brain about her position and asks for a private audience in the HOH bedroom. Howie's partner Janelle, knowing full well that Howie can't be trusted to make sound decisions on his own, insists on accompanying them, causing Maggie to call the whole thing off. Instead, she confers with the Special Friends and asks Beau, Ivette and April what she should do. They put the question back on her. Maggie's in a quandary. April, being delusional, says, "Thank you for not using [the Veto]." "I may use it," counters Maggie. "Oh," says April, before fleeing into the diary room and dissolving into tears. She can't believe Maggie would even consider putting April, her own partner, up for eviction. She blubbers about it to Janelle, who's convinced that's exactly what Maggie will do. Maggie meets with a sobbing April and explains that strategically, it makes sense to leave Ivette and Beau in the game, since they're already a target. April is inconsolable. Maggie is torn. This Friendship has officially capsized. "In this game, our morals get in the way a lot," says Maggie at the Veto Ceremony, by way of explaining her choice to follow her heart and not her head and not use the Veto power this week. April's tears miraculously evaporate and she can barely contain a grin upon hearing the news that either Ivette or Beau will be the next to go meet Julie. Speaking of Julie, here she is now to rule over the eviction proceedings. April, Janelle and Maggie cast their votes and Beau and his salmon pants are cast out in a unanimous decision. Inside the house, the remaining members of the Friendship drown in tears, but outside, Beau schmoozes with Von Chen, dry-eyed and composed. Who will win this week's HOH Compet*tion, "Magnetic Attraction"? It's a Q&A based upon personal questions about the contestants' lives before they entered the house. To answer, magnets must be placed on a board. If answers are right, the magnets stick; if they're wrong, they slide off. After finding out that Kaysar's favorite female body part is the butt, Ivette and Maggie face off in a tie-breaker. Maggie throws the Mouth of Miami a bone and lets Ivette win, throwing Ivette into a paroxysm of joy. Credit: http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/...1|,00.html |
