The Smiths top UK box office chart Tuesday, June 14 2005, 19:00 BST -- by Daniel Saney Mr. & Mrs. Smith has topped the UK box office charts in its opening week. Directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Supremacy), the movie stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as a married couple who discover that they are assassins with orders to kill each other. It earned £3.9m in its first weekend, beating Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and Sin City, which took second and third places. The UK box office top ten in full: 1. Mr. & Mrs. Smith 2.
