Watchmen Bites The Dust

Another one bites the dust.

Paramount has put a pin in the "Watchmen" balloon, says Variety, blaming an escalating budget and a change in guard at the studio for the cancellation of the film take on Alan Moore's graphic novel.

Producers Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin and director Paul Greengrass, are now talking to other studios - hoping they'll bite.

"Watchmen" had been previously set up at Universal.

"Watch" - geddit? - this space.
