Layug, the new Defense Assistant Secretary for Installations and Self-Reliant Defense Posture, on July 2 at the EDSA Lounge of DND in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. Layug is a member of PMA Class of 1995. “His most recent government post was Director of Port Operations Service, AOCG and Chief of the Anti-Smuggling Unit of the Office of the Commissioner at the Bureau of Customs. He was a former military officer with the rank of Lieutenant Senior Grade in the Philippine Navy, wherein he served for 20 years,” DND said.
