![]() The new police patrol uniforms are light blue polo shirts embroidered with the PNP insignia and with the name, rank, and designation of the policeman. The word “PULIS” is embroidered on the back with yellow thread. |

article says the new polo shirt uniform should be hard to copy, i don't think so, any tailoring shop with a multithread juki embroidery machine can copy those insignias without difficulty. |

Ka ek-ekan ng kapulisan. They should all wear scottish kilts ...the traditonal scottish way. High socks, at sapatos na tulad ng isang batang babae sa grade 2 para authentic. No self respecting criminal would dare wear those just to pass off as a cop before bank or mall security guards. |

by Jell E. Guzman QUEZON CITY, August 3 (PIA) -- “Wear prescribed PNP jacket.” This was the directive of National Capital Region police office chief Alan Purisima to all metro cops, and banning the use of unauthorized jackets over PNP uniforms. The directive is in line with the aim of the Philippine National Police to eliminate criminals posing as policemen and in compliance with the PNP letter of instruction (LOI) ‘Tamang Bihis.’ “To eliminate this modus operandi, I released a directive to totally ban the use of unauthorized jackets over PNP uniforms. This way we can identify right away our personnel from not,” Purisima said. Purisima made the announcement during the recent command conference with his command staff, district directors, and field commanders to review the program of action. He also encouraged metro policemen to wear the prescribed PNP jacket which has been approved by the PNP Uniform and Equipment Standardization Board and reiterated that name cloth or the nameplate of the police personnel wearing the prescribed PNP jacket should be visible at all times. The NCRPO chief also reminded police personnel driving motorcycles to refrain from wearing unauthorized jackets including the use of PNP camouflage green coat as jacket. Meanwhile, Purisima also ordered his men to call the attention of other policemen, assigned in other units, who are violating the directive. He said violations must be reported to the immediate commander for appropriate sanction. (PNP/RJB/JEG-PIA NCR) http://www.pia.gov.ph/?m=1&t=1&id=46790 |
