Yes, one is always intrigue how a cammie can really work in an urban terrain. Based on many studies so far, there were never been an effective urban camouflage. Look at the USMC, they didn't adopt the Urban Marpat at all...as a matter of fact, another USMC urban camo that they tested during one of their big M.O.U.T. FTX in the late 90s (if I can remember right) called the T-Pattern never made it.

But anyhow, NATO currently tasked the canucks to design an effective urban camo. Let's see what they will come up to.

If that is the case then we better settle for the "black outfit" until the the new design comes out.

The current green cammie should be changed to make it more effective for our SAF or other PNP units operating in the provinces.

This one above should be improved further.

The green patches are too light.

This cammie is digitized already so the PNP just needs to make the green patches a little darker.

For urban application?

Cops dont usually used camouflaging anyway becoz they always engage their targets in close combat.

Only snipers, recon and soldiers fighting in the jungles can benefit from how good the cammies can conceal them.

So what's the use of a cammie feature in the urban setup anyway?

If the digital cammies are for the PNP SAF then it should work properly, the SAF operate more in the countryside than in the city and could give the Army special force a run for its money. These guys are well-equipped and well trained.

Its the PNP SWAT teams who are for urban ops and are OK in their current black and dark blue overalls.

Yes. But the cammie's green patches are too light and it can be easily distinguished from its often darker green sorroundings.

Yes. No need for a super-effective cammie anyway because they'll be fighting in close combat, when in urban setup, 98 percent of the time.

I would prefer the black suit because that will give the operatives the best cover during the night.

For PNP snipers perched in rooftops doing observation, if they want to get as much advantage as possible, i would suggest outfitting them with this cammie.

For the SWAT team operating daytime, this cammie may not do a lot but still if they want to get all the advantage that they can get it is best that they use this cammie also.

Just imagine this guy above, partly hiding himself in an often "light grayish" or "white" environment, ...

... will he get the same level of advantage if he wears a plain black suit instead?

Criminals when cornered are often unmindful of small details in his sorrounding. That may give the cops more chances of surviving the gunfight.

It's time to do away with the blue cammie, i suggest. :armywink:

The SAF's red logo should be given a less noticeable shade also.

I'm not sure too, but I did remember we received equipments from the U.S. after 9-11. Don't know if we did have preparations made. But I believe rich cities like Makati who has the Makati Rescue as well as Quezon City has their own teams. I'm not sure with the PNRC and other NGO volunteer groups.
