"Some local media friends asked the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines to confirm the news of a grounded Chinese Navy vessel at Half Moon Shoal in Nansha Islands. According to the information we got from the Information Department of the Ministry of National Defense of China, around 7pm of July 11, a frigate of Chinese Navy ran aground accidentally at Half Moon Shoal of Nansha Isands during a routine patrol mission, with no personnel injured. Currently the rescue work by the Chinese Navy is underway." Chinese embassy press release |

What a word from a helpless navy.. sad to say so.. "Any ship or naval vessel in distress, we are duty-bound to provide assistance regardless of whether or not they were there in violation of our territorial integrity," said Western Command spokesperson Lt Col Neil Estrella in an interview If and only if we had that mighty navy.. this probably might be the statement of the Western Command spokesperson.. "We are duty-bound to impose our national sovereignty and territorial integrity at any costs, whether that naval vessel is in distress or not." Good luck to our AFP...

They should have done something right after they recieve the reports, responded straight away for it is within our EEZ territory, you can spot 100 kms. from Palawan... |

Posted on 07/13/2012 4:40 PM | Updated 07/13/2012 4:57 PM Estrella, however, said the Western Command is still verifying the report. It is also waiting for further instructions from the national government, he added. Rappler "According to the information we got from the Information Department of the Ministry of National Defense of China, around 7pm of July 11, a frigate of Chinese Navy ran aground accidentally at Half Moon Shoal of Nansha Isands . . ." Wait . . . it happened two days ago but WESCOM was "still verifying" as of this afternoon? Helpless indeed. |

For that failure The rest of his family were sent to the labour camps pending HLA typing for organ donor compatibility test.
