Embarassing . . . assuming it happened by 'accident'. They will use this as an excuse to send ships and planes into our waters. They will send them to 'rescue' that vessel and what will we do? This is not a positive development.
.

Well we can also use this as another evidence that indeed China really infiltrates our territory and its within our EEZ without our permission.

The question will be, assuming China refuse to get that Frigate back and begin to use it ala BRP Sierra Madre. Do we have the capability and rights to confiscate that warship? :dunno:

^ and, unfortunately for us, we can't do anything about it. :(

this seems to be the ship in question: a Chinese Jianghu class frigate Dongguan (560), a Jianghu-V class frigate that allegedly fired on Filipino fishermen one year ago.

In the first place what are they doing 100 kms from Palawan? This is serious considering it happened immediately after the ASEAN summit. Either they had something cooking all along or this is a sick cosmic joke.

They were talking 'dialogue, dialogue' at the summit and all the while they had a warship in our territory. Doble kara.

The Govt. should summon the Chinese Ambassador regarding this issue and ask them what are they doing inside our territory entering without permission???

Philippines should send PF-15, escorted by Jacinto class to half moon shoal and make sure that they will leave the area after fixing their ship and to warn them...

This current Govt. is crazy if they'll let this pass, this is the reason why the Philippines is not that respected as before by it's neighbors, losing our voice, having a weak influence, how can we expect other Country's to respect us if we can't even fulfil our duty to police our territorial waters, implement PN's mandate, jurisdiction inside our own territory?

^^What's the point of arming our Forces to the teeth with expensive Military hardware if we don't have the balls to stand our ground regardless of our Military's current state, Half Moon shoal is inside our EEZ territory, a stone throw away from Palawan, West Pacific Area.. "Wala tayo dapat ikatakot at kung putukan nila tayo if ever, that will trigger MDT." We even have all the right to fire warning shots at them in the first place to make them move out..

WTF are they doing there? Send a ship packed with foreign media and tell the world that China is doing something really really BAD!
If you don't want a modern and capable AFP, you might want to get the f*ck off the Philippines because you don't deserve to be a Filipino that's why!
