replenishment at sea is a method of transferring fuel, munitions, and stores from one ship to another while under way. imho, this should be added to the priorities of the sea going agencies' (navy and pcg) modernization. not only will this be economical, than returning to port for resupply, patrols wont be interupted if this is practiced. not necessarily like those of the foreign navies where rep is done on the move via unrep / vertrep, they can do this (as a start at least) while stationary as doing it mobile is a very tricky matter (not to mention catastrophic results if not done properly). with the country's growing number of warships soon to rise, , this should be a must

maybe they can buy a 2nd hand roro ship and had it installed with fuel tanks and a heli deck for vertrep. this will surely reap lots of savings in the long run
