One thing relatively common in countries with draconian discipline is backstabbing people. |
|
Success through information, victory through disinformation. "Good leaders make efficient followers. Great leaders make good followers. But true leaders make leaders out of mere followers." "Measuring the intelligence of a common internet user is as easy as looking at his/her grammar." | |

These guys are playing Sun Tzu to the fullest. Complete disconnects in the leadership between the Commie President and the military is extremely unlikely. There may be some serious behind the scenes disagreements in policy and vision but at the end of the day the party is paramount and the military leadership tows the party line in order to curry favor and promotions. They may make you think there is a disconnect to make it difficult to plan properly and figure out which avenue to approach an issue from. Also if something goes wrong the political leadership can throw a "rogue" general "under the bus" when something goes wrong. If the plan works the general gets a promotion but if the situation becomes a diplomatic or military fail it becomes categorized as an unsanctioned unilateral action by a rogue military officer and the party is insulated from blame. |

Look who's talking cooperation and peace now? what a BIG LIAR! we cannot trust a big liar like China. This is China's character and strategy in dealing with other nations. B - Bully I - I-d-i-o-t G - Greedy A - Arrogant S - Shameless S - Stinky H - Harmful O - Obnoxious L - Liar E - Envious C - Cheating H - Harsh I - Injurious N - Nation of A - A.s.s.h.o.l.e.s. |

Thanks Dewey, it certainly adds some insight to the push by military leadership to use their toys in the past few years. If I could find some recent books that clarify this growing confidence on the part of the Chinese military it could paint a clearer picture on this perceived power struggle. I still do not trust the Chinese..they are some seriously sneaky and duplicitous bastards. I put nothing past them. |

100 per cent correct.. Chinese are blinded by their greediness, that is why even those out of their boundaries are considered belong to them.. Another thing, is they think that filipinos are easy kaya makapal ang mukha nila mag-claim ng teritoryo very obvious na hindi naman sa kanila.. They know very well the plight of our military giving them the reason thay have the upper hand in those disputed area....Military improvement of the country needs a serious implementation to the highest level. |

no prob T. glad to share just stumbled on it myself. a country as big as china will really have its problems, besides dwindling resources due to a very big population thus a need to rape other nations resources just to appease it, like what hu jintao is facing regarding his hardliner military leaders. but as usual approach with caution

The US can easily cripple china by attacking from within. the chinese have a population problem and even the need for oil (which is forcing them to steal Spratlys and Scarborough) and other resources is a big concern. china is dependent on exports too. even the RP-china trade is in favor of china. these tell only one thing. chinese economic stability is not solid. the US and rest of the investors can easily cripple china by rechanneling their investments to India, South East Asia, Africa, including some 3rd world countries in Europe and the former Soviet states. the only way out is cooperation among nations so the investments and economic cooperation is sustained. otherwise, china will face isolation or rejection of some sort. |

Dewey I actually had a chance to fully digest that article and have found in my own warped way of thinking that actually reinforces part if not most of my perception of the Chinese misinformation campaign. Hu should let Liang go for it after a public warning and if Liang failed..and he will, Hu has an excuse to sack a problematic general and Hu becomes politically stronger and can publicly appear to support a peaceful resolution despite a rogue general. If Liang somehow pulls it off then everybody wins except us. |

thats why i said that it could be just propaganda. a problematic military leader to point for causin the "problems". but hu jintao is so cautious regarding what the us could do to them if they strike. always warning the us to stay away, kasi they cannot "play". phl is so very lucky to escape the nbn broadband deal. imagine what could have happened if it pushed thru? dapat talaga parusahan ang may balak magpalagda dun. treason, imho. like selling ones soul to the devil. selling ones' country for own selfish end? dapat dyan ... traitors
