By the way, having military exercises with Russia does not mean we are dumping US and making a 360 degree turn towards Russia. Roll eyes.

Correct on the first sentence.

Look at India, they have amicable relationships at both Russia and America.

for me it is okay to conduct excercises with russia to strengthen our relations with them..this excercises can also provide information and can also give us the possibility to look russian naval assets such as submarines..di ba in a recent article ng isang kano??sinabi nya na we nid 48 jets future naval assets such as missile firing frigates and 6 mini sub to have a credible defense force..which he also emphasize that we should look for russian subs...that means hindi naman na ganun kahalaga sa US if bumili din tayo ng equipment with russians

equipment-cost effective

cost effective? how can you say cost effective? in a short run.... but now long? why? Yes, we get it because it's cheaper (daw) but in the end, we pay more, it cost us more & for me it's now inefficient in what i see.... better get other European equipment, there's too many of them maybe for others, it's expensive, but it will be cost effective more in the long run :salute:

READ my posts on other threads mr i hate yogi bear,
your problem is sold with European assets such as the jas 39 but THEIR expensive unit cost can be compensated by russian equipment.

Russia change mind – Pushing down Philippines & ASEAN for Sea Disputes

Russia Changes it's tone towards Philippines and ASEAN countries after Putin take office.

Previously, Russia pronounced its support to the Philippines and ASEAN countries for the disputes with China but after Putin took office, its changes it;s tone and giving favor to China's request to back them in the South China Sea Disputes.

Expressing "concern," the Russian Federation declared it is against any meddling by nations other than the claimant-countries in the South China Sea (or West Philippine Sea) territorial dispute, a Russian diplomat said over the weekend.

The United States is not that narrow minded, in the case that we conduct a joint military exercise with Russia it does not mean we are already siding with them. The cold war is over and the Dragon has already awaken gobbling all the resources she can eat including the whole south east asia.

Some people in US may think otherwise. Remember, unlike us, US has more people suspicious to Russia than we have.
