I believe we should formed a CAFGU Maritime Group as well... Lightly armed with 50cal MG, several 7.62mm MG and a 60mm/81mm Mortar on its Wooden HULL but Steel Framed 25m patrol gun boats... Government can employ poor underpaid fishermen & yet dedicated Pinoy fishermen to guard their assigned waters against pirates and Poachers.. |

Why? We dont need them. Dont forget we got some navy frogmen and navy SEAL's demolition teams who could plant bombs/explosive device under those chinese vessels. What they could do in worst scenario, send some navy SEALs there disguising as fishermen, then at night they would operate under cover of darkness and swim underneath those chinese ships and blow them up. Cmon, its time to utilize their capabilities and skills they learned from Balikatan and years of military covert operation. |

Comrades thank you for your opinions if may i add mine first i think its a good a idea to have Auxiliary active and bigger because to tell the true we have ability to make ships and small arms we can arm and ready people. Our fishermen livelihood are not should i say lasting it depends on their catch right? why not organized them to act as auxiliary of the Cost Guard/Philippine Navy under a active officer or auxiliary officer train Government can provide/improve the fishermen equipment and boats because it would have a dual propose beside catching fish and this will boost nation building in many ways i mean think about it more people on the water more monitoring on our seas and protection and rescue of ships at sea. |

Would you believe its being done like the Bantay Dagat program. In some areas PCG Auxillaries are active educating fishermen and boat operators regarding environmental protection and water safety. Some are having problems due to opposition like in boat safety/overloading rules and illegal fishing. PCGA BTW, our active militias are the CAFGU |

We have the PN and PMC reserves on that. But on the real world, coastal and river areas, security is handled by the PNP Maritime Group and other law enforcement agencies deputized by the PCG. |
