If we think about it Nokor threats are more dangerous and real than IRAN, their Leader and Govt. are more than likely to be the best candidate to be overthrown, invaded like IRAQ because they only think of themselves, instilling fear to their Neighbors and are the real threat to Peace in the Whole World, they don't give a damn about the welfare of their poor Citizens much more the rest of the World.. They are not far from the likes of a terrorist.
I AM NOT PINOY, "I AM A FILIPINO" There is a BiG difference!

Tough talk by Obama at the summit in Korea but reality is the US would rather invade Iran than North Korea. Iran has no powerful allies in the region that would provide assistance in the event of war with the US and Israel while North Korea has that big dragon looming across the Yalu River.

the us would be a fool to invade any country right now(due to their economy and present problems with afghanistan and iraq) but they can do what they did to serbia- a much more complicated air war(as a last resort only) without sending any ground forces.

but again a better message/response is to shoot that nkorea rocket down in flight. it will show he means business and they would no longer accept any bs from kim jong un.

this will also shock the chicoms(they would be more cautious in bullying us and will refrain to use force from the time being in taking our territory) buying us a few extra time to acquire what is needed for our afp.

S. Korea to shoot down N. Korea rocket if it strays

South Korea is preparing to shoot down a North Korean rocket if it strays into the South's territory during a launch planned for next month, the defence ministry said Monday.

The South Korean and US military are closely monitoring activity at the Tongchang-ri base, a ministry spokesman said, a day after Seoul confirmed the main body of a rocket had been moved to the site in the North's northwest.

Seoul is concerned that the first stage of the rocket, scheduled to drop into the Yellow Sea between South Korea and China, may fall onto the South's territory, the spokesman said.

"We are preparing measures to track the missile's trajectory and shoot it down if it, by any chance, deviates from the planned route and falls into our territory," he said without elaborating.

Japan has said it may do likewise if the rocket strays over its territory.

Obama to meet Hu after blunt words on North Korea

US President Barack Obama will Monday press China to persuade North Korea to abort its planned rocket launch, as his patience runs out with Beijing's handling of its belligerent nuclear neighbour.

Obama and President Hu Jintao will hold talks on the sidelines of a nuclear terrorism summit in South Korea. Their attempts to keep ties stable, despite domestic political turbulence in both nations, will be put to a severe test.

North Korea's rocket plan hijacks nuclear summit
By FOSTER KLUG Associated Press The Associated Press

Quote:

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — The security summit that began here Monday was supposed to be an opportunity for President Barack Obama and other leaders to find ways to keep nuclear material away from terrorists. So far, North Korea has upstaged that agenda.

And that may be just what Pyongyang intended.

Several of the heads of state meeting in Seoul have criticized the North's surprise announcement 10 days ago that it plans to blast a satellite into space next month aboard a long-range rocket — a launch that Obama's government views as cover for nuclear missile development.

Obama urged North Korean leaders to abandon their rocket plan or risk jeopardizing their country's future and thwarting a recent U.S. pledge of food aid in return for nuclear and missile test moratoriums — considered a breakthrough after years of deadlock. South Korean President Lee Myung-bak's government warned it might shoot down parts of the rocket if it violates South Korean air space.

Obama and Lee also pressed North Korean ally China to use its influence to prevent a launch. Meanwhile, a Chinese government-backed disarmament expert said allowing the launch to dominate discussions at the summit may be exactly what North Korea wants.

PH embassy in Seoul 'ready for the worst'

Vice President Jejomar Binay has assured that the Philippine embassy in Seoul is ready for the “worst case scenario” should North Korea pushes its satellite launch plan next month.

In a statement, Binay told leaders of the Filipino community in Seoul that the embassy has a contingency plan in case tensions in the Korean peninsula escalate into a full blown conflict.

“We do not want to speculate on the effects of the launch. However, we will be directing the local government who could be affected to be prepared for any eventuality,” Binay said.

Japan to Deploy Patriot Missiles in Tokyo

TOKYO — Japan is set to deploy surface-to-air missiles in central Tokyo in readiness for North Korea’s planned rocket launch, its defense minister said March 26.

The siting of an anti-missile battery in the densely packed capital city would be in addition to facilities on the southern island chain of Okinawa, Naoki Tanaka told lawmakers.

"We are working on procedures to deploy the Patriot in the Tokyo metropolitan area, acting on precedent," Tanaka told upper house members, referring to the PAC-3 surface-to-air missile defense system. "We are also preparing to deploy the Patriot in the Nansei (southwestern) islands including Okinawa," as the second stage of North Korea's rocket is expected to fly over Japan's southernmost island chain, Tanaka added.
