To whom it may..

If we look at the Maps you've posted, its not just the Q where? but also how far their rockets can go...

The NKors wouldn't try to aim it in the Pacific Ocean, which may indicate an attempt to target US Mainland and that can push the US back into the end of it's string of patience with NKorea, we all know happens next...

These given areas of testing clearly shows a pattern and are strategic locations of US Allied Countries and US Bases where possible US Contingency will be coming from in cases of conflicts, it's more of a "Paralyzation Strategy" plans in the works.

Now re; the lack of fighter jet capability of PAF, just saying all of our neighbors have Fighter Jets and their Navy's have Missile capability unlike the Philippines.

In National Security cases like these, at least they have something to use and protect their Country and it's People "in any which way they can" regardless if everything will work or NOT?!!

There's always a Way and if it can't be totally destroyed, at least there's a way/chance to contain it into minimal threat or damage if ever there is...

Somebody already mentioned this but this is really a good excuse, err, good time to be lobbying for procurement of equipments such as long-range radars and possibly even a SAM system and/or a coastal defence system.

This is a good example of a post that has at least undergone some form of mental processing as compared to the previous rant that was rightly put to task by other members.

Although this still falls short of adequately explaining the clear lapses of the previous post, this should at least set a precedent for a few members here who have the tendency to shoot from the hip, that a modicum of thinking through a post prior to clicking the add reply button could very well contribute to a positive exchange of opinions in the thread.

In short, pathetically foolish rants & one liners don't do a thread, and this forum any good.

N.Korea's rocket plan 'provocative': UN chief

Quote:

UN chief Ban Ki-moon and South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak vowed Saturday to together tackle any threats arising from North Korea's "gravely provocative" rocket launch planned for next month.

Ban arrived in Seoul earlier in the day for a 53-nation nuclear security summit on Monday and Tuesday, which takes place under the shadow of Pyongyang's plan to launch a rocket to purportedly put a satellite into orbit.

The United States, Australia and other nations see the move as a pretext for a long-range missile test banned by the UN.

"President Lee and Secretary-General Ban shared an understanding that North Korea's announced plan to launch a rocket is in breach of a UN Security Council resolutions," Lee's office said in a press statement.

"They expressed concerns over the launch which they agreed would be a grave provocative act against the international community." the office said.

What ta heck, it's all just common sense.. A more intelligent person with broader minds would understand where I'm coming from...

A much better option if you don't agree to what another member here says or an opinion is to explain and correct if there are any to be corrected in a discreet manner which I always try to follow and not like scolding a child and making that person feel so small as if we're not on the same boat...
This is a typical Pinoy, but I'm very glad "Pinoy Monkey" of youtube came up with Im not Pinoy, I'm a Filipino! slogan.

Yes they may know a thing or two researched on the net, but not the way a low profile tight lipped person whom they don't even know who and what? the nature of work that person is involved..???

All I can say in this case is.. there's always a different picture behind everything.

So lame.

Don't expect people to just accept every rant of yours and just dismissively say it only requires common sense to understand where you're coming from everytime you're questioned or chastised.

There's an educated rant and there's an uneducated rant.

Sadly for you, yours belong to the latter category.

Anyone who comes to a counter-insurgency thinking it`s about killing terrorists is missing the boat. It`s really about winning the people. You can kill all the terrorists but then you`ve pissed people off and created 100 more.

So typical Pinoy?! Very loud in ranting publicly, complete with words in all caps and multiple exclamation points yet so sensitive when getting an equally public rebuttal in return. :armyeek:

NKorea transports rocket's main body to launch site: official

Quote:

Seoul, Mar 25, 2012, (PTI)
Unfazed by global concerns, North Korea has transported the main body of a long-range rocket to a site in preparation for its launch next month.

"South Korean and U.S. military authorities understand that North Korea has moved the main body of a long-range missile to Dongchang-ri in preparation for launch," a South Korean military official said, asking anonymity.

The official confirmed a Japanese media report which said that a train took the main body to the launch facility in Dongchang-ri, Cholsan County, North Pyongan Province, yesterday, Yonhap news agency reported.

North Korea has announced that it will launch the rocket to put an observation satellite into orbit between April 12 and 16 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the birth of its founding father Kim Il-sung, which falls on April 15.

They are really making it appear that they are serious. Hopefully, this is really just one of their stunts to gain more leverage on any negotiations.

Obama warns N.Korea against rocket launch

Quote:

US President Barack Obama said Sunday it was unclear who was "calling the shots" in North Korea under its new young leader and stepped up demands for Pyongyang to abort its planned rocket launch.

Obama stood with South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak to present a united front against the communist North, hours after staring into what he termed a "time warp" as he visited the last land border left over from the Cold War.

The US leader also had some unusually public criticism of China for its failure to induce its North Korean ally to open its nuclear programme to inspections and end years of "provocations" and "bad behaviour".
