PMA top graduate says time to give back favors from people and country By Maria Aprilla W. Cruz Tuesday 20th of March 2012 http://www.pia.gov.ph/news/index.php?article=101332207956 BAGUIO CITY, Mar. 20 (PIA) -- Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “BAGWIS” Class 2012 valedictorian 2nd Lt. Tom Puertollano said it s time to give back blessings to the Filipino people as he vowed that their batch will pave the right trail for the succeeding cadets to follow as future leaders of the land. Puertollano in his valedictory address las Sunday assured to live by the principles and virtues instilled by their alma mater guided with the virtues of courage, loyalty and integrity. He said now is the time to 'give back - return the favor that they have been so honored to have received from the people and the country. ' The PMA cadets are the highest paid government scholars. The government shoulders all the expenses of the cadets during their stay in the academy as they obtain their Bachelor of Science degree. 'During our 47 months stay in the academy, we had been through many hardships, trials that required a measure of sacrifice,' Puertollano said. 'Many of us weathered through, but we did experience failure at times, we endured difficult situations, but cherished every moment of happiness that a regimented life had to offer. Through all these, we have come to learn the priceless lessons they bring, developed meaningful skills, as we cultivated a unique bond among ourselves,' he added. He also thanked all those who were part of the driving force behind the PMA “BAGWIS “Class of 2012 for without them he said they were not able to reach their graduation day. |
