This ship and her sister, PF15 are gonna get both an anti-ship and anti-aircraft missile systems and the budget have already been approved frOm the P120B funds according to JDW.
In addition to this update, there will be an anti-submarine weapon system to be installed for the 2 PN Hamilton class WHECs. - JDW
Not just anti-submarine helicopters and submarine-launched torpedo decoys? If it's called a system then definitely a hull-mounted sonar should be included!

Phl spends $15 M on 2nd US Hamilton-class cutter

http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=857575&publicationSubCategoryId=200

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT, Philippines (Xinhua) - The military said today that it is spending more than P600 million ($15 million) for the acquisition of a Hamilton-class cutter from the United States.

Philippine Navy Chief Vice Admiral Alexander Pama said the second US ship costs $5 million more than the first Hamilton-class cutter which the government bought under the US Excess Defense Articles Program.

"We are installing lots of equipment in the (second) ship," said Pama in an interview after the opening of the Amphibious Landing Exercise (PHIBLEX) 2013.

The ship is set to leave the United States by January next year after the refurbishing and training of Filipino personnel are completed.

Help me! Is there a site which shows systems, electronics, sensors, counter-measures and weapon cost? $5 million doesn't get you much. Does it? :armycry:

mate,
this guessing game will eventually lead us into frustration. What I believe we should do right now is to fervently wait for the ship to arrive back home. To see is to believe, media reports are sometimes half baked. Speculations regarding the installation of missiles are....a little bit dodgy. :dunno:

so the planned November 2012 arrival of Monching will not come to reality... possibly because of all these installations and additional training for each of these new weapons and equipment...

With only $5 million? I think it will come on time.
