Another thing that was pretty odd with the Muslim population here in Zamboanga that before the bombs exploded in the Galeira, Red Palm Pension House, Sangali and this and during the Military operations in Ipil and in Basilan the Moro's all but disappered and not that active during those times.

I have friends who are from Cagayan and a relative who tells me that the reason the Moro's are line is that they know that the dominant Visayan population will retaliate.

Also when you negotiate you compromise as well, it seems that your mayor is allowing the influx of Moro's in your Cagayan de Oro.

Again, I beg to disagree. It is not because " the dominant Visayan population will retaliate" but because " we live in harmony and we give RESPECT to each other". If respect to your fellowmen is bullshit then go ahead and say that to Jesus Christ's face - that is if you are indeed a true Christian. This things are happening to you because you ALLOW them (the Muslims) to do it. After Ceasar Climaco, Zamboanga City is no longer the "City of Flowers". Why did the Spaniards were able to administer peace to this city during their time? So with the Americans? BECAUSE THEY DID NOT ALLOW THE MUSLIMS TO DO WHAT THEY ARE DOING RIGHT NOW. How? By putting them in their places and accord respect to their dignity and culture. The Lobregats are not doing this today and so are the citizens like you.

Compromise? Yes, for the protection and benefit of all. Can't the Zamboangenyos do that? I invite you to live in CDO for about a month or two and try to observe how our Mayor together with his city council leads the city in progress each day. How they personally take care of the needs and wants of each of our citizens - whether Muslims, Christians, or Lumads. And see for yourself.

I maybe Christian but I am not naive, you may disagree but I see no point in talking with people who are so focus in getting control of the Peninsula to the point of bombing and killing us here in Zamboanga.

I myself do not like the Lobregat's but for the greatest mistake is allowing people like the late Mayor Climaco who practically open the door for those Moro's to come in and practically made our city in the Moro infested city that it is today, fortunately a lot of my people are fighting back and I am proud to say that we are holding our ground from those bombers.

If these bombings are designed to scare us well they better hire a better bomber as their current bombers are stupid same as their cause.

Really? Your people are holding back your ground? I don't see it. The rich Chinese negosyantes have already migrated to Cebu or CDO. The barter trade has already moved to Jolo, Sulu. Rich people are migrating or have migrated already to other peaceful places. Those that are left are those who cannot afford to move out.

Ceasar Climaco was by far the best Mayor you were able to elect in office. Sadly, he was assasinated for his principles by a Muslim named Rizal Ali. The sudden influx of Jolohanons in Zamboanga during the 70's was a gesture of humanitarian compassion on the side of Climaco. Unfortunately, after his death his successor did not continue what Climaco had started. But went the other way - that is corruption.

We have been holding our ground against your Moro brothers and sisters, because unlike some we do not view them as brothers and sisters and also we are not stupid in having blood compact with them.

Those who left Zamboanga have no ancestral or deep connection to Zamboanga, for me they are weak.

Also you fail to know our little history here in Zamboanga Tagalaguna, the Moro's have always been attacking and causing damages ever since the Spanish times hell they even kill the Spanish priest and missionaries.

Your admiration of Climaco is not that favored particularly with some of the political elites here. With Climaco gone that is a better situation, under Climaco Zamboanga was turned into the ugliest thing I ever saw.

And as long as their are huge reserves of natural resources here in the Peninsula not to mention our strategic location for shipping we do not care for those small fry businesses even if they left.

For me Climaco was a failure. Look at the Pueblo during his term, Plaza Pershing was so infested with the Moro's and criminals that it looked like a slum/dump. Also during his time the violence from the Moro's increased and their bad behavior became more visible.

Climaco's so-called compassion is the result of his "hippies" mentality of him.

So you mean to say the See clan, Bas clan, Tan clan, Arguelles clan, and so on just to name a few does not have ancestral roots in Zamboanga? How did you know? It seems you know a lot about Zamboanga than I do knowing that I am 4 years older than you and a Zamboangenyo myself. Just to let you know the Torres Clan which I belong are natives of Zamboanga. My great grandfather is a pure Chinese of Cantonese ancestry and married a Ledesma who is also a native of Zamboanga. And most if not some have already left that place. Even the prominent Muslim merchant clans have already left which some I met at Cebu, Catbalogan, and here in Manila. And by the way, your ancestors were Muslims before the Spaniards came to Zamboanga if your truly are a Zamboangenyo. It only means that you do not know what you are talking about especially hating your own blood. Your ancestors are weak, the very reason they converted to Catholicism by the Spaniards. Hate and enmity is never a Christian virtue. It never did bring peace to earth. It will never give you peace of mind. As I have already said in my other posts about your Christian-Muslim hate campaign, your not becoming a solution to the problem of Mindanao but rather you are the problem. Your people are my people as well. We are Zamboangenyos but we are acting like the MILF and the BIFM in all aspects. I want peace and am willing to compromise to have that peace. But you are acting like Kato, a stumbling block to the peace process - the solution. I have nothing more to say as this argument will go in circles and will never end. You are a close minded person and it is hard for me to share opinions on people like you. Having a pessimistic and backward way of thinking.

Some people may be happy for what has been happening in the Peninsula or Zamboanga city, unfortunately for those people they will fail and those will be added on the long list of failures and stupidity of the Moro's.

Such a melodramatic response. My ancestors did not convert they are Spaniards and are Christians. You may view me as part of the problem but I view your so-called "brothers and sisters" as the biggest problem. Those who left are weak and should never come back just because a couple bombs blew up. Hate is not a Christian value however when push comes to shove I tend push and shove as well. My family has long been protecting our interest here and the other families as well.

Those who leave better not come back anymore.
