![]() Defense Undersecretary for Finance, Munitions, Installations and Materiel, Honorable Fernando Manalo was accorded Side Boys Honors during his visit to the Philippine Fleet today November 21, 2011. ![]() Defense Undersecretary for Finance, Munitions, Installations and Materiel, Honorable Fernando Manalo, visited the Philippine Fleet today November 21, 2011 and was received by Rear Admiral Jose Luis Alano, the Commander of the Philippine Fleet. A briefing of the Fleet’s capabilities and future plans were presented to Usec. Manalo and he dialogued with the leaders of the Fleet’s Forces and Groups. He also visited the Fleet Command Center, the Naval Air Group, Service Force, Patrol Force and the Naval Special Operations Group. Part of the briefing presented to Usec. Manalo was the “Phase-Out Phase-In” Program of the Philippine Fleet, a strategic defense plan designed to replace the Navy’s aging assets within a certain period. Most of its vessels were commissioned in active service during World War II. The members of Usec. Manalo’s party were Assistant Secretary Patrick Velez, Mrs. Roseadel Yambao – the Chief Logistics Management Division; Dinna Annalee Cartujano – Chief, Budget Development Division; Engineer Samuel Castro – Chief Modernization Affairs Brach and Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Emma Ignacio. https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Philippi...3495210?sk=wall |
